The moment those words were spoken, the light that once shone upon the land vanished and in its place, darkness covered all. As the [Black Moon] rose and blocked out the light of the [Red Sun], a silent eclipse hung in the darkened sky.

"This..." Lucifero frowned. "What is this?"

Sitting quietly in the night sky, the eclipse gave off a dreadful aura.

But more than that, what really caught his attention was the state of the two mages that performed the spell. Just like himself, the two had undergone a transformation of their own. Still bearing the appearance from [Breath of the Kitsune], the once radiant white fur that was iconic to the form had now been dyed a deep black. Similarly, Yami's outer appearance also bore these traits with the only difference being that his fox ears and tails seemed to be illusionary and made entirely out of pure [Dark Magic].

"Haah." The two exhaled.

Surrounded by a sea of raging black flames, a strange and powerful bond was formed between the two. Under the light of the eclipse and with their grimories floating in front of them, the two spoke in union-

[Demon Slaying Dark Magic] [Dark Demon Slaying Magic]

Taking a step forward, a dark flame-like aura flooded out of them.

"This is incredible!" Yami gasped.

Clenching his fists tightly, power like he had never felt before coarsed through his entire being.

Aquiring the attributes of demon slaying magic and overlapping them onto his own magic, he felt like nothing could stop him. But it was even more than that. He didn't just aquire the traits of demon slaying magic, as long as the eclipse was still up, he had access to Grim's [Breath of the Kitsune] spells and vice versa.

'Is this how Grim feels everyday? No wonder he's so crazy! This feeling, its addicting!'

[Breath of the Nogitsune]

The moment Grim saw these words overwrite the [Breath of the Kitsune] pages in his grimoire, he instinctively knew what had happened. A kitsune tainted by the touch of dark magic-

Taking a step forward, the dark magic revolving around his figure started bubbling. Having never been able to wield dark magic in the past, he assumed it was because there was no such power amongst the demon slayers. But as long as the Eclipse lingered, this limitation meant nothing.

'Did I just bypass the limits of [Demon Slaying Magic]?'

Unable to hide it any longer, the smile that he was doing his hardest to conceal finally showed itself.

"Haha...hahaha....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!"

"Incredible." Adramelech muttered staring at the two then back at the eclipse.

While he didn't exactly know what the spell did, even he a supreme devil like himself felt uncomfortable staring directly at it. But for the both of them to produce such a spell? Grim was understandable, he had been giving him a weird feeling from the moment he laid eyes on him. But Yami? He was nothing special. While dark magic might be something big in the living world, he knew of a supreme devil who also wielded the exact same magic.

If there was anything notable about Yami, it would be his body. Despite being incapacitated for a week, he was far stronger now than ever before. And that was all thanks to the ritual of Qilphoth making his body more devil-like.

A spell created from a human with devil-like traits and an elf whose magic exist solely to hunt those same being.

A spell formed by these two opposites, there was no way it would be ordinary.

Activating this spell at the same time, the black bulls banner that Yami wore on his right shoulder grew darker and extended in length.

Pushing off the ground with Grim right next to him, like a mirror image the two attacked Lucifero.

"HUMPH!!"

-CRACK!

-CRACK!

-CRACK!

Breaking everything around him, Lucifero's presence magnified.

"COME!"

*FWOOM!!*

Appearing at both sides of him, the two jumped up and swung their swords at his neck.

-SLASH!!

*Warp*

Teleporting out of there, their swords met nothing but empty air.

*WARP!*

Warping back in and appearing slightly above them, his hands stabbed towards their backs

Vanishing from sight, Grim appeared high in the air surrounded by a cascade of black coloured petals.

As for Yami, he spun around and used the flat side of his sword and the [Dark Cloak] to intercept Lucifero's attack.

-BANG!

Despite using [Breath of the Kitsune: 4th tail - Dark Strength] to boost his physical strength. The sheer amount of might behind Lucifero's attack was still to much as he was thrown back.

Meanwhile up in the sky and in front of the eclipse.

Grim held his sword high above his head and while gripping it with two hands, black flames danced along the blade as he swung down.

-Slash!

Feeling his hairs suddenly stand on end, Lucifero instinctively tried to warp out of there.

[Dark Demon Slaying Magic: Demon Binding]

What!

Thrusting his arm out, ropes of dark magic infused with the properties of demon slaying magic broke through the ground and wrapped themselves around Lucifero's legs.

"Heh." Yami grinned.

While it might not it even hold him for longer than a second, it was enough.

Understanding his intentions, Lucifero sneered as the ground beneath his feet gave way and he sunk into the earth.

-BOOM

Finally landing, Grim's attack left a smoking sword mark seared into the ground.

"Tch." He kissed his teeth as Lucifero burst out of the ground and appeared in front of Yami.

"DIE!!" He roared raising his arm up and enhancing it with [Gravity Magic].

Swinging down, he intended to end this farce! 

But right as he was about to do so, a black coloured petal fell infront of his face.

[5th Tail - Light of the Eclipse]

Jumping to the petal and appearing in front of him mere moments before his attack could land, Grim boosted his physical strength and explosive power to a high degree and ruthlessly drove his knee so deep into Lucifero's face that the impact was enough to fling him backwards and make him backflip a couple of times.

"GO YAMI!!" He yelled.

Stabbing his heels into ground, the sound of the air tearing screamed in Lucifero's ears as he forcibly slowed his momentum and snapped his body upwards.

Unfortunately for him, the sight in front of him was not a pretty one.

[Demon Slaying Iai Slash]

With his speed and defence enhanced by the [Dark Cloak], Yami dashed forward with his blade coated in [Dark Demon Slaying Magic] and slashed across Lucifero's stomach.

Dropping a black petal as he passed by him, he zoomed off into the distance.

Without missing a beat, Grim used [Steps of the Void Fox] to jump to the fallen petal and struck at Lucifero's face again.

"Gughhh...!"

Not even able to recover from Yami's previous slash, Lucifero's face jolted upwards from the strong strike to the bottom of his chin. Lifted off his feet, Yami took up a familiar stance.

[Demon Slaying: Death Thrust]

Drawing his arm back and thrusting it forward, a focused blast of pure demon slaying magic hammered its way onto Lucifero back and threw him forward.

-Clasp!

Grabbing hold of Lucifero's leg, Grim wouldn't let him get away as he swung down.

-BAAAANG!!

To make matters even worse, Yami jumped in out of nowhere and the two started stomping on him.

"C'mon! FIGHT BACK! FIGHT BACK!!" Grim demanded as he stomped on his head.

"Devil king my ass! You ain't shit!" Yami chimed in getting his licks in.

"...."

'What the hell am I watching?'

Sitting on his little floating rock, a look of confusion, pity and disbelief settled on Adramelech's face as he couldn't belive his eyes.

While they weren't doing any significant damage, this wasn't something Lucifero could ever recover from.

'This... is the king of devils?'

Just like Adramelech, Nacht who was watching the battle in [Devil Union] and prepared to jump in at anytime found the current events hard to believe. Hell it was hard to even watch.

Even if Lucifero was only half manifested, wasn't this to much?

And that synergy between Grim and Yami, it was perfect.
