Reborn As The World Traveling Female Assassin

Xzavier Resnik lived a boring life. After getting off the bus, he walked with his friend towards his apartment since they lived next door to each other, but when a slit emerged across his neck, he clutched his neck and fell to the ground. Thud! When he turned his head to the left, he saw a woman with black hair and beautiful red eyes peering at him from a tall light pole before fading away, as a pool of blood formed beneath him before he lost consciousness and died minutes later. … Xzavier woke up perplexed since he felt different and knew that he should've died, so he went looking for a bathroom as he wanted to get a look at himself in the mirror. When he entered the bathroom and looked in the mirror, he saw a woman with black hair and beautiful crimson eyes, which immediately reminded him of the woman he had seen before he lost consciousness. Life Drain

After a ten-minute walk, Ayla finally reached the adventurer's guild. She wasn't alone, though, as the man who followed her since leaving Ethereal Star kept to his reputation as a true and diligent stalker who had close to zero respect for a woman's or anyone's privacy.

'To bad… He's a stalker. His wife wouldn't allow that if he were to ever marry. Moreover, with his poor reputation and lack of privacy, he will likely never marry.' She shook her head and cleared her thoughts. She pushed her thoughts of him to the back of her mind and stepped inside the adventurer's guild.

As soon as she stepped inside, the sounds of adventurers cheering and drinking fell into her ears. From their loud cheering, it seemed that a group of five adventurers had defeated a young mutated spider. A spider mutated from the dark and nature elements. She didn't listen for long and walked straight to the quest board, where F-rank quests were.

As she expected, the quests were easy, but that only applied to the strong. The quest was for weaker adventures with low ranks, so it wasn't that surprising. However, she felt relieved that the difficulty was increasing, though when it came down to her completing the quest, she wouldn't feel the difference between the ranks.

She read the contents of each quest pinned to the hoard, but as she read their contents, she found that most of them were basic quests that involved gathering herbs, aiding a citizen in repairing something, or solving a dilemma they had. She ignored those and observed the quests in which the adventure involved slaying a monster.

Though fortunate, she could only find one that fit her criteria. However, the quest's penalty forced her to recall several moments in her life that she would rather forget.

[Quest: Slay the goblins]

[Rank: F]

[Objective: Hunt down thirty demon goblins in a dark cave near the south of the city. Failure to complete the quest will result in demotion points and a penalty.]

[Penalty: Sex Slave, Sex Curse]

[Reward: Curse Resistance, 2 bronze]

'Sex… that word never ceases to escape from a demon nor my life, does it? Every demon I have met was either a sex demon themselves or had sex, but this one seems to also turn those who fail into female sex slaves, whether they be men or women; they all become female sex slaves if you fail this quest.'

Though she didn't desire to recall what she had experienced with Cynthia that night, she knew this quest was the only one that guaranteed she would battle. The advantages of choosing the quest were greater than the disadvantages. Without hesitation, she pulled the quest off the board.

With the quest in hand, she stepped in line at the receptionist. She waited for her turn and registered her quest. As before, she was given detailed information on the quest.

The receptionist also warned her of the dangers that came with failing the quest. If she were to fail, not only would she be a sex slave, but she would be forced to bear their children for the rest of her life. The curse wasn't a temporary one, but a permanent one.

However, she wasn't afraid of failing the quest, nor did she even consider the possibility of her failing. After all, the difference between Ayla and them was the difference between heaven and earth. Even so, she couldn't be careless, as that would lead her to failure and the eventual penalty of being a sex slave.

After the receptionist finished warning her of the dangers that would come if she were to be careless and fail the quest, she registered her for the quest.

With her registration finished, she walked out of the adventurer's guild, leaving for the cave south of the city.

As Ayla set off for the cave south of the city of Ontrith, where demonic demons were supposed to reside, something else was occurring instead! The quest didn't lie about there being demonic goblins, but there was another race that appeared mostly human.

Unlike humans, this race had horns and wings, and they enjoyed a natural dark aura. They were demons, but they weren't of low rank. They were demon colonels, twelve of them in fact.

Demon colonels' rank was equivalent to that of a C-ranker, but their strength wasn't! A demon's strength was naturally greater than a human's, and to kill a single demon, two humans would be needed unless one had the talent and skill needed to kill them. There were only a few that could, and they were scarce, scattered around the entire continent.

Other than the twelve demon colonels, the cave had over a thousand demons, and twenty former human slaves who had become female half-demons of lust were present at the moment.

Most of the demons were inside a single room, engraving a dark magic circle into the ground, seeming to prepare for a demon ritual. As for the twelve colonels, they were in a meeting on the deepest floor of the cave when they sensed a strange suppression and ominousness. They felt shivers run down their spines as the pressure on them increased.

"Do you also feel this?" A demon colonel asked, grimacing.

"I do. Something isn't right… it feels ominous, as if something is wrong…" The other demon colonels agreed as she pushed her chair back, standing up.

"Is the Brigadier back? No, this isn't like that. It doesn't feel like her pure dark aura, and the suppression is heavier; it's something else. We will go and check!" Another demon colonel stood up.

The two of them went to check on what was causing this heavy suppression and the ominous feeling they felt. As for the rest, they stayed behind; some even started playing with the sex slaves, enjoying the continuous denial and refusal to accept their positions as slaves, only to be dominated in the end. The colonels were still unaware of the danger they were in.

One of the demon captains stepped out of his room, hearing the loud sounds of a relentless battle outside. However, as soon as he came out, he found nothing; the entire hall was empty, without any signs of a battle ever happening.

"Life Drain," a melodious voice fell into his ears from behind him. He felt a hand tightly grip his shoulder.

The demon was surprised to hear a calm yet frightening voice come from behind. As soon as he was touched, he felt his body had lost all of its strength, as if his life essence were being forcibly sucked into a black hole by a powerful force.

"You!" Another demon stepped out of a nearby room, shocked to find her loving husband being attacked by a female assailant.

She didn't know who Ayla was, nor did she care, but from the pain she could see in his eyes and on his face—he couldn't move—she knew she had to do something to stop her.

She raised her hand, casting a spell.

"No interference!" Before she could even finish her spell, she heard a cold voice. It was evident that she was no match for Ayla. Shocked, she turned around, only to find her husband lifeless as he fell on the ground.

"How?" The woman asked. Ayla had teleported behind her without noticing until she decided to speak. This didn't surprise her, but the fact that she didn't voice her spell, which was needed for spells to be used, shocked her. It was basically a medium for a spell to be used. Was it her speed? No, this speed isn't possible for mortals. "Just what are you...?"

Her lips froze. She wasn't even able to continue voicing her words before the life essence inside her body quickly left her, making her unable to voice any of her thoughts. Within seconds, her life force was drained, and she fell to the ground.

'This explains everything—two penalties for an F-rank quest—but it raises the question of whether the Adventure Guild knew this before sending out the quest or if it was a mistake. However, this doesn't mean I'm disappointed; after all, I get dozens of meals free of charge.' She opened her status screen, and one screen flashed in front of her.
