A Day of Growth and Finding Shelter

After reaching the base of the tree, I started climbing. Even with the lizard on top of my head, I was still easily able to climb, thanks to my strong legs. My grip while climbing had greatly improved.

After climbing for some time, I reached the branch I had observed the lizards from, and because of the size of this tree, the branches were particularly wide, like a flat platform, easily accommodating my now 75cm body.

"I wonder how much I'll be able to grow after eating this 30cm long lizard, as this is my first meal after discovering my ability that doesn't consist of ants.

After reaching a good spot, I released the lizard from my horns with a thud; the lizard's corpse dropped down onto the wide branch.

While looking at my meal, memories of how these lizards were born appeared in my mind, which made me take a quick look at the strange tree.

And once again, the lizards reappeared, and to my surprise, another fruit was descending down from the crown of the tree.

Hmm, it seems that every time a lizard dies, a new little lizard will be born to take its place. And as I kept watching, my guess was confirmed, since I saw the same scene appearing as before; the lizard was born and shortly after ran into the little hole at the base of the tree.

Well, that was interesting. Anyway, it's time to dig in. With that last thought crossing my mind, I finally started eating. I was really hungry, since this one day felt longer than all the other three days combined. So much had happened; I escaped death a few times, discovered a way to grow stronger, learned more about this world, and most importantly, learned to never underestimate the creatures of this world!

The image of that green frog appeared in my mind for a short moment, which made me tremble for a bit, but soon after, I went back to eating.

After a few minutes, I finished my meal, and so my stomach was finally satisfied.

And at the same time, I felt a wave of excitement wash over me, as it was time to grow once more.

Sitting down in a comfortable position, I began to wait patiently for the long-awaited feeling to reappear.

And as expected, a few moments later, a familiar feeling of warmth started appearing inside my abdomen, slowly expanding and increasing in intensity.

Wow, this is really intense!

I thought to myself. Even compared to before, this time it was five times as hot. I believe I won't just grow by half like before. Just based on the intensity of the heat, I believe it will be at least an increase of one time my body size.

With such expectation, I continued to bathe in the comfortable feeling as my body continued to grow!

While I was feeling very relaxed and comfortable, I didn't forget to keep an eye out on my surroundings. I had learned my lesson with the snake, not to put my guard down while I was going through the process of growing.

Thankfully, nothing happened this time, as I had found a pretty good place. After a few minutes of slow growth, the addicting feeling started to disappear, which made me a bit sad, but I knew I would be feeling this feeling more often from now on.

After the growing process finally ended, I started feeling my progress. This time it really shocked me, and with my shock, a strong feeling of happiness also appeared.

I had grown approximately 1.5 times my previous size, bringing my body's length to a whopping 1.87 meters. Also, my height was now a full 75 cm plus!

Just imagining an insect my size walking around in my past world—that was terrifying. It would bring absolute terror to all insect haters.

And to make matters worse—or better in my case—this was just the beginning. I only found out about my ability this day, and in just a day, I had grown so much. What would I look like in a month or a year?

I was brimming with anticipation, imagining crushing everything below me with my six powerful legs, dominating the forest and all the big magical beasts inside it. I couldn't wait!

While I was immersed in my fantasies, I noticed the sun starting to slowly go down, and with it, strange sounds started to slowly appear in the forest—much more terrifying than the ones you could hear during the day.

So, I decided to stop daydreaming and actually look for a place to sleep for the night.

Going down the tree, I was thinking of where I could look for a place and if I could find one in time before the sun set. Plus, I had to look carefully to not run into some strange creature that would put me to sleep permanently!

While thinking, I reached the base of the tree, and as I was about to touch the ground, I saw my leg sink deep into the earth.

It seems I'll have to get used to my new strength every time I use my heavenly devouring ability.

While I thought about that, I had an idea. Since it was so easy for me to move the earth with my new strength, maybe I would dig a hole into the ground to use as a hiding place during the night.

While thinking about the advantages of this and the matter of not having enough time to look for a good place like a small cave or a hole into a tree that could fit my new body, I decided to choose this option.

After looking for a good place, I immediately started digging with my front horn. In just a few minutes, I had a perfect hole to hide in. After looking for some big leaves to cover the entrance, I went inside and started to close the entrance of the hole as much as I could with earth around, trying to make it into a somewhat enclosed space.

After being done, it was finally time to take some rest after a long and tiring day full of excitement and danger.

It somehow feels like my long days of work back from my old world, but strangely enough, even with all the danger of this world, I felt some kind of fulfillment from surviving and growing stronger that I had never felt in my last life.
