CHAPTER START---

---2 Days after arriving at the tower...

Standing in the first arena a step behind Hinata and Shino, Jin quietly observes everyone in the room as the Hokage gives a speech.

'Yeah yeah, countries display power in the exam through the genin blah blah. How the hell did Kabuto make it here, I made sure Naruto wouldn't be there to save him. He was definitely faking during the original series huh. Gaara is still here. Kiba made it too, it's like a damn class reunion. Hmm, some random leaf team took the sound team's place, that's good.'

"I'd like to quit" Kabuto suddenly speaks up.

'Huh, still a pussy in this version,' Jin quickly thinks.

After a few more moments lost in thought a hand touches Jin's shoulder, he looks over to see Shino at his side.

"You zoned out there, we need to get to the viewing area now." Shino says calmly before walking toward the stairs with Kurenai and Hinata."

As Jin stands beside his teammates he takes one last look at his classmates.

'Hm, arriving here two days earlier let everyone heal up at least. Sasuke should have a proper seal on by now. Hmmm, hopefully, this doesn't affect the random matching. I need to see Lee vs Gaara in person.'

"Why are you smiling so much Jin?" Kurenai suddenly questions, waking him from his daydream.

"I'm just excited about fighting someone strong, what else would I be excited about sensei"

"Hmm, same ole Jin, most kids aren't excited to jump into a death match you know." Kurenai laments her genins mindset.

"SHINO ABURAME VS SENJO!" Hayate shouts, announcing the first match.

"Hmm, good luck Shino," Jin mutters out before Shino descends the stairs.

As the match begins Shino, to the surprise of nobody doesn't even move. Allowing Senjo, the leaf nin to get in his range a swarm of bugs immediately attack his opponent and devour his chakra.

"WINNER SHINO ABURAME!"

Looking down the line of spectators, Jin sees Neji obviously using Byakugan to look at the bugs inside Shino. 'Yeah that must be gross'

"Ohh, Kankuro is up next," Jin says aloud as he sees the puppet master walk down the stairs.

"Hey Hinata, take a look at the thing on his back," He tells his teammate.

"Uh, ok Jin. Byakugan" As she activates her Doujutsu she focuses on the item, "It's his real body. How did you know?"

"Why would a Suna puppet master not have his puppet out already, smart move honestly."

As Jin speaks Kurenai can't help but think 'Yeah, Jin definitely doesn't belong here'.

After Kankuro completely destroys his opponent, finally, another match Jin had any interest in was called.

"INO YAMANAKA VS SAKURA HARUNO!"

"Ooo, this is gonna be fun. HEY INO YOU BETTER NOT LOSE TO FANGIRL!" Jin yells to the blonde as she descends the stairs.

Standing opposite each other. Both kunoichis have grim looks on their faces as they mentally prepare for their fight.

"I won't lose in front of Sasuke." Sakura immediately says.

"Well, I won't lose in front of Jin." The reply instantly hits.

As her words bounce around the room, many eyes fall on Jin who seems completely caught off guard by the statement.

'Fuck, was not expecting that.'

"Hmm, you always make fun of Sasuke but now you have a fangirl," Shino immediately takes the chance to tease his friend.

"At least I got the pretty one" Jin responds, just loud enough for everyone to hear.

As the match begins, both girls affix their headbands to their foreheads before rushing at each other.

'This is so fucking moring, it's been a boxing match for ten minutes, and they both suck!' Jin thinks to himself as he looks at the ongoing match.

Suddenly, well it would have been suddenly if Jin and any half-decent ninja didn't see it coming. Both girls leap backward and began throwing kunai at each other. As the weapons bounced off each other Ino began to take a clear lead.

As one of her weapons makes it past Sakura, appearing to be a complete miss. It immediately explodes.

'Hmm, that's new' Jin thinks to himself.

As Sakura rolls across the floor, she eventually comes to a stop and moves into a crouch.

"Since when do you do that?" She asks her rival.

"Since Jin's been beating us every chance Asuma sensei has to throw him at us. We have to improve. We can't all just have people save us every time!" Ino harshly tells Sakura.

'She said JIN, not Jin's TEAM. Seriously?' Many people question as they process her words. More eyes move toward Jin as the words ring out.

"Thanks a lot, Ino," He says through gritted teeth.

Before Sakura can get to her feet Ino is immediately on top of her, relentlessly punching the pink-haired girls. As her fists connect to Sakura's arms, ever so often a hit breaks her guard and connects with Sakura's face. The pain from being rag-dolled by the explosion weakening her enough for Ino to take advantage in close combat.

As their brawl continues, eventually Sakura manages to draw a kunai and slash at Ino, leaving a cut across her left cheek. In response in immediately leaps backward and performs her mind transfer jutsu on the severely weakened Sakura.

"I, Sakura Haruno. Would like to surrender!" Sakura suddenly yells as Ino's body falls limp.

"WINNER, INO YAMANAKA!"

As both girls return to their original bodies, Ino walks over and leans down to whisper something to Sakura before giving the girl a hand to stand up.

'They both seem happy, what did she tell her. Questions for later.'

As Ino climbs the stairs to rejoin her teammates Jin gives her a small wave and receives a dazzling smile in return.

"Yeah, definitely got the pretty one"

"Well if you want to keep her maybe don't take her on missions with you. The way you work isn't gonna make any woman want to be with you, hehe" Kurenai jokes beside him.

After a few more fights Naruto finally beat Kiba.

'No wonder I replaced this loser, all he can do is follow scents and I'm a chakra sensor.'

"NEJI HYUGA VS HINATA HYUGA"

'Shit, this is gonna be brutal'

And it was, after seeing such a harsh fight Jin almost felt like stepping in, 'Hm he made me consider actually drawing more attention to myself.'

As Kurenai and the other Jounin save Hinata and move her back to the safe area, Jin takes the chance to make his presence a bit known.

"Neji Hyuga," at his words everyone in the room including Neji looked at him, "That was too much. If I meet you in the next stage nobody is gonna be able to save you."

As the cold words reach everyone's ears, those who know of the bingo book entry feel a bit of apprehension at confronting Jin. Some others however such as Gaara, Lee, Sasuke, and Neji are intrigued at the idea of fighting him.

Eventually, after all the boring fights, the main event Jin has been aching to see is finally here.

"GAARA VS ROCK LEE!" Hayate announces.

A wide smile spreads across Jin's face as he is thankful his presence didn't change this.

As both genins step down into the arena, unfortunately, the smile quickly fades from Jin's face. It falls even lower when Lee drops his weights.

'This really doesn't look as cool when you can track what's going on, now it just looks like he's running in circles.' Jin thinks as he looks at the fight with his Rinnegan, observing the chakra flowing in the sand as well as Lee's body.

As he is about to get tired of the fight. A visible change happens in Lee's body.

"he's opening the first 2 gates," Jin says aloud.

"How do you know about that?" Guy suddenly asks, drawing the attention of team Kakashi as well.

"As a sensor, I study the effects of all things I can on the flow of chakra, even hand seals, all these things give me an edge if I'm fast enough"

'Little monster,' everyone thinks simultaneously.

As Lee proceeds to humble Gaara, the gates wear off causing Guy to step in to save his life.

"They aren't too weak, fun to watch at least" Jin honestly says, earning a glare from many people and confused looks from others.

"FINAL MATCH, JIN SATSUJIN VS SASUKE UCHIHA!"
