A defense mechanism, as if she loses more mana, her mana heart might crumble, collapsing her future career as a mage.
[Bear with it, my child, it will soon be over]
Bel's supposed mother's voice echoed in her head, reassuring and comforting her.
Bel, trying to be strong, gritted her teeth but it was for naught as she once again screamed, her eyes rolling behind her head as she fell unconscious.
[Sleep, my child, this will be over very soon]
The voice sounded again, the last of Bel's mana disappearing, her mana ring collapsing.
The mana that had been siphoned out of her was almost equivalent to that of a tier six mage, a powerhouse who could change the terrain and cause a tsunami with the amount of mana they possessed.
