The next day, Amber woke up and stretched her arms before getting out of the bed. The image of the man she spoke with last night instantly flashed in her mind which annoyed her a little bit.
System: Good morning, Amber.
"Good morning. It's good that you're back. I feel secured with you around."
System: I've leveled up again. Thank you for your hard work.
"No. Not at all. Your improvement is for my benefits. Anyway, let me visit Tomoe first."
Amber went inside her secret space and cooked her food for breakfast. She took a look at her beloved pet and found him docile at this point.
He wasn't as cranky as he used to be and he looked so cute that she couldn't stop herself from petting its head.
"I'm glad to see your wounds are healing well," she said before putting its share of the food inside the big cage. "Once you are fully healed, I will bring you out of the cage so you can have a bigger space."
Tomoe slowly rose up from its sleeping position, licked Ambers finger twice and took the initiative to rub his head under her warm hand.
Before she gets drowned from its cuteness, she ate her food quickly and left to start another day in the kingdom that she now belonged to.

"My Lord, what can I help you with this time?" Linares asked when she noticed the overbearing presence of the man who came into her private room.
No one else but him had been to her room. Of course, who would have the courage to say "NO" to him?
You might see your own head roll on the ground if you dare to do so.
"Have you found anything about the investigation I asked you last time?"
Linares immediately kneeled on the floor and pressed her hand on her chest as she gave her sincere apology.
"My Lord, I'm sorry I have failed you this time. I have checked all the people who came into the capital. Aside from Amber who stood out among them because of the difference in culture, there wasn't anyone powerful among them."
Hearing her response, Regis sat on the chair and placed his chin on his hand while thinking of the woman he met last night.
Yes, Linares was right. Amber was indeed a puny, little woman who would break with a little bit of force from him.
Still interested, he asked in a boring tone. "Have you checked where she lived before coming over?" He didn't want anyone to know he particularly likes someone.
"Yes, and I find it odd," Linares said in all honesty. Lying now would put Amber in grave danger in the future should Regis consider her dangerous in his country. "Amber's origin was actually from the capital, but she mentioned to me that her family lived in the outskirts of the kingdom that belongs to the Manasyan village."
"And? What's odd about that?"
"The odd thing is, Amber Azazinova had been declared missing since she was 12 years old."
