Huang Fei walked slowly through the corridors holding the wooden crutches at her side, cold sweat dribbled around her forehead as she pretended to painfully drag her body forward. As she walked on, she ended up twisting her ankle which nearly caused her to fall.

  "Fei'er.." looking above her. She saw her Aunt Yao who gave her a helpless smile as she snaked her arms into hers helping her to stand upright.

  "...I'm sorry child, I didn't know you were in so much pain and discomfort" as she said this, she held her carefully while leading her to her room.

  "it's alright Aunt, I'm already used to it" hearing this Lan Yao's heart couldn't help but hurt. She didn't expect that this bubbly child with a happy aura would end up suffering so much in her own home. Thinking about it, she suddenly felt that she was also to blame after all, she hadn't asked anything about her all those years.

 Watching the pitiful girl turn pale, she resolutely made up her mind.

  "Fei'er I'll be staying here for a while, so if you have any problems, don't hesitate to come to me ok. Hmm! Let's see who dares to bully you while I'm here" as she said this, she puffed up her cheeks in anger while rolling up her sleeves as if trying to flex her muscles and saying how she would deal with them.

  Huang Fei nearly laughed aloud at her words, seeing her aunt saying those words with such a cute expression, she couldn't help but exclaim in her heart

'It's already too late, if only the previous owner had heard someone say these words to her before her death, then perhaps, she wouldn't have felt so alone'.

 "En" she replied with a smile.

  By now they had reached the room where Huang Fei would take her rest; supporting her into the room. Aunt Yao reminded her

  "If you need any help, just ring the bell on that table and someone will be here to help you"

"Thank you, Aunt Yao,"

  Giving her a smile, she watched as her aunt left the room and shut the door, after making sure that her aunt's footstep had finally faded away, the smile on Huang Fei's face suddenly disappeared.

  Standing up, she walked leisurely around the room as though she was perfectly healthy before once more sitting on the bed.

  Crossing her legs together, she closed her eyes and peered into her dantian but was shocked at what she saw.

  Cracks!

  Why were there so many cracks in her cultivation core!

  The last time she had checked, the cracks were only few like 10 or so but looking at the number of cracks now, it seemed to number up to about a hundred or more!

  Furrowing her brows in helplessness, she couldn't help but wonder, could it be?

  Suddenly remembering when she had been clearing her body of the accumulated poison, she remembered the slight discomfort she had felt in her core but had swept it as nothing serious.

  Thinking about this, she couldn't help but smack her forehead. This body's core was actually so brittle? It seems that in exchange for clearing her body's poison, it had put strain on her core and ended up making it worse.

  Sighing quietly, she couldn't help but remark helplessly

  "I was too careless just then"

  Coming out of her subconscious, she knew that the next thing now was to find a way to repair her damaged core.

 But?

  To do this, she was going to need a lot of ingredients especially medicinal herbs and to get those medicinal herbs she needed a lot of MONEY!

  But then again thinking of her wretched state in this family nearly made her frustrated, she had searched her former room before and knew that she didn't even her a single good jewelry anymore, all her money and accessories she had sent into the hands of those fake sisters and Aunts of hers.

  And now considering what just happened to Ming zhi, she knew that her father only had deep hatred for her, forget asking that useless garbage of a father for money, even if he gave her, he might end up accusing her that she stole it at the end.

  So now not only was she useless but she was also poor, very poor!

  So, first things first, she had to make money, lots and lots of Money!

  And she knew just how! but before that

  Suddenly she opened her eyes and gave a sinister smile, it seemed like someone would be waking up very soon.

  "Hehe" giggling slightly she summoned Yao Hei but seeing his worm like appearance before her, she felt even more helpless.

  "Hey, can you get a bit bigger?"

  Hearing Huang Fei's mocking tone, the little demonic beast wiggled angrily before turning its butt to her face.

  Huang Fei: "...."

"So, you can't get bigger?"

  "...."

 "Eeeh? Are you ignoring me?"

  "...."

  Watching the little beast causing a tantrum, Huang Fei picked it up by the tail while shaking him about miserably in the air.

  "Do you believe I'll feed you to the fishes if you don't answer me, little worm?"

  Subconsciously, Huang Fei heard a little baby voice cursing in her mind

  " Hmmph! You're the worm, your whole family are worms, Aargghh! Let me go, you stinky human, I'm a demonic beast not a worm, demonic beast! Hmmph!'

  Hearing his words, Huang Fei's brow twitched slightly as she looked at his tiny miserable appearance

  "Tsk! Definently a worm."

  When Yao Hei heard this, he almost fainted in anger.

  'Help, I want to go back home, this human is too black hearted *cries miserably*

  The black hearted Huang Fei: "...."

  Putting the weeping beast down, Huang Fei stared at him as she spoke

  "There's something, I need you to do for me"

  Yao Hei heard her words and wanted to start another tantrum but seeing her cold piercing eyes, he quickly swallowed down the thought.

  "Ok!"

It has already been a few days since the incident, Ming zhi's eyes opened slowly as she tried to take in her environment, her body felt extremely sore especially in her lower parts.

  She groaned as she sat down feeling extremely weary, her brain felt like mush as she couldn't remember any incident that made her into this tiresome state, she never worked, neither does she over cultivate which can lead to extreme fatigue, so why did she feel like she had been run over by a herd of beasts?

  Her hands unconsciously swept over her skin as she flinched in pain at the touch. Ever so slowly she rolled up her sleeves and her eyes widened in shock at the many marks that covered her skin, bite marks and even beating marks were all over her hands, some of which were already fading.

  All of a sudden she clutched her head tightly as waves of pain crashed over her. Different images floated through her head and she couldn't help but scream at what she saw.

  Suddenly, racing footsteps were heard as someone quickly bolted into the room and darted to her side "Zhi'er! Zhi'er ! Its ok, mother is here now, everything will be fine, I promise" Zhan lan spoke tearfully as she held her daughter closely.

  How could she not understand her daughters pain, which mother would be happy on realizing that her daughter had been raped! And it was not even by her husband but by another man! Zhan lan gritted her teeth in anger as she held her daughter's sleeve tightly, this was all that slut's fault!

  How did her daughter end up in that whore's courtyard!

  She would most definitely find out!

  And she would make sure she suffered a hundred times worse than this!

  Slowly Ming Zhi darted her eyes to her concubine mother, as she held her sleeves tightly "Concubine mother, how could this happen? Why me?!, Just when I am about to marry the King's nephew why did this have to happen! WHY?" She wailed loudly as she stared at her body in horror, disgust and irritation.

  All these years she had been preparing for the day that she could marry one of the princes. And after finally snatching Huang Fei's engagement, this ended up happening to her!

  Her eyes suddenly glowed sharply, Huang Fei! This was all her fault! She was supposed to be the one raped by Young master Bo! She was supposed to be in this state while she laughed at her misery!

  She was supposed to watch how she would be embarrassed in front of everyone and how her father out of anger would finally send the slut far away or even possibly kill her!

  She was supposed to marry the Prince and end up seizing the throne of empress! So just how?! How did things end up like this and how was it possible that she escaped her plans! Huang Fei! Huang Fei! Just what kind of crazy luck do you have that you always end up escaping your death!

  Just you wait! I'll personally make your life hell, I'll crush you like the useless ant you are and watch how you stupidly try to get on your feet only to end up crushing you again! I'll make your life a living hell!

  Zhan Lan watched worriedly as she noticed the sudden change of her daughter's aura, the sinister and devilish look in her eye made her flinch unconsciously, she knew that look too well.

  A memory suddenly flashed through her mind as she shivered unconsciously in fear. She could only hope that whatever her daughter had in my mind wouldn't make her lose her rationality.

  Meanwhile in Lan Yao's courtyard

  Huang Fei stared blankly into space as though she was in a trance, her eyes unblinking as she saw through the conversation of Zhan lan and Ming Zhi through her demonic beast.

  She had secretly sent Yao hei to spy on them when she felt that Ming Zhi had awoken, and now seeing the disheveled state of Ming Zhi as well as hearing their conversation made her lips arch up unconsciously.

  Although she did it unconsciously, the servants and guards around felt a bone chilling cold seep into their spine upon seeing the wicked smile that crept upon her lips in her trance like state.

  They sighed heavily as they wiped the sweat that dribbled continuously on their forehead, why was it that their second young miss suddenly looked like an evil enchantress that had come to collect their souls?- her expression just now-tsk! , it was really frightening!

  "Fei'er?.." Suddenly Huang Fei was snapped out of her trance as she watched her Aunt Yao who looked at her wearily. Huang Fei could tell that there was a hint of hesitation and curiosity at her tone.

  Instead of worrying about her aunt's expression, she simply masked her face with a blank expression. "Aunt Yao, I'm sorry for spacing out.." Slowly her head dropped as her gaze became sullen "it seems I was just recalling some past events.."

  Lan Yao thought for a while as she wondered what past event would cause her niece to smile sinisterly, although she was a Heavenly practitioner , she still couldn't help but a feel a slight discomfort at her expression then.

  Suddenly she smiled at her warmly" Well that doesn't matter anymore" she spoke out as she waved her previous thoughts aside.

  Huang Fei smiled at her words but could still feel the slight hesitation in her tone, it seems as though she wanted to ask her something.

 "Is there something, you wish to ask me?"

  Her Aunt Yao stilled for a moment before her shoulders suddenly slumped down in defeat, although she knew that this was a sensitive topic for her niece, she felt that it better be addressed now.

  "Fei'er, I was thinking that it's high time, you chose a new maid servant"

  Huang Fei kept silent for a while, there was a strange tension in the air for a moment before Huang Fei replied blankly "ok"

  Lan Yao was shocked for a while at her answer.

  She had actually not expected her to agree immediately, she had long investigated Huang Fei and had discovered a lot of disturbing things , one was most especially the basis of a maid servant as she had found out that all her maid servants had either been spies of the other concubine daughter's or had personally wanted to cause her trouble.

  She also discovered that these maids had aided a lot in spreading false rumors about her all over the capital thereby ruining her reputation.

  A sense of relief flashed over her face as she felt that it was good to find someone trustworthy that would be by her side.

  She promised herself that she would find someone who was trust worthy enough, she had been living in her husband's household for the past years and had recently been living with younger her brother due to some misunderstandings between her and husband.

  The day of the incident was the first day she had set her eyes on Huang Fei apart from when she had seen her when she was little child.

  She had blossomed now into a beautiful flower filled with a strange fierceness, however this attribute had been covered up by her pale skin and weak state due to years of neglection.

  She almost resembled a walking corpse from afar! But thankfully the few days she had rested by her side seemed to have brought some rosiness to her skin as her health had improved rapidly.

  To say that she wasn't disappointed would be a lie. How could her brother be so blind! He couldn't even recognize the treasure in his possession and was rather constantly feeding a chicken with slackly skin that would never lay eggs!

 "Then it is settled, by tomorrow I will send some maid servants to you, so feel free to pick any that you prefer"

  Huang Fei mindlessly nodded in agreement as a sudden emotion flashed through her eyes which quickly disappeared.

  "Thank you Aunt for your grace, now if you'll excuse me I'd like to go for a brief walk"

 Lan Yao nodded her head as she waved her hands signaling for her to go while pointing at a few servants to accompany her.

  Huang Fei walked away from the Yao courtyard as the emotion she felt earlier flicked in her orbs before slowly disappearing- regret that was what she felt at the moment.

  Remembering a young girl her age with a bright smile on her lips who had always guarded and protected her in her past life

"Wang Hua..." she whispered in the air "... Forgive me"
