Yusheng watched calmly as Pei Jin throws water on the man before them, waking him up. Like a scared deer he looks around, struggles his chained limbs and his fear rising upon seeing pei jin.
"Your highness... I didn't do anything.. mercy" cries the man.
Pei Jin curls his lip into a malicious smirk "Pan Anzi.. head steward of tea making... mm.. gave benwang quite a work to have you here. Now.. like you have guessed, benwang has all the things that is enough to prove what you did."
Pei Jin turn around and brings a chair for Yusheng to sit on, a little farther than the man fearing he would dirty her "Yu'er take a sit, while benwang will tell you a story and a show later"
Yusheng obliges as she wanted to hear what he had found. Smiling gently she says "okay, I like good stories and shows"
Taking out several folded letters he starts "Pan Anzi 28 of age, came to work in the palace seven years ago. Able to bribe now and then raised up from menial servant to vice steward of tea making. After the sudden death of head steward you were yet again promoted to be the head steward.
You have a mother with 2 brothers and 3 sisters in your village who are now in the capital, living lesurely after you leaping up in position. You brought your family here five years ago.
You managed to bribe the book keeper well to hide your visits to outside but like you the book keeper being clever had your record well maintained as a blackmail material.
Now according to this well maintained book, there was a time when a man came to visit you. He claimed to be your uncle who passed by capital from his work and had some messages and things to pass from your mother.
Before that you had just letters and some things sent for your family, but after this mans visit, you started to exit palace once a week for three months.
During this time you seem to have lots of money, not only you bribed the book keeper you brought lots of things for the head steward and your companions of the same department, saying you gambled and won.
After three month you stopped exiting the palace untill the death of head steward by the end of the year. He was reported to be found dead on his bed, with no leads his death was recorded natural for he was an old man.
Then you became the head steward, which was liked by everyone. At the end month of the sixth year you exited the palace again. After that there was no record of your exit or entry in this book rather in the other book which seemed normal.
Benwang has your family retained and according to them they came to the capital at the beginning month of the fifth year. A man came to help them from the village to the house that they are settled.
Benwang also found that the house price was not paid by you but rather your uncle who claimed to return the money he borrowed from your father.
After settling your family, not once the man had been seen till now. You mother claims the man to be your friend, while he claimed to be your uncle. Similarly the man has never visited you again.
Anzi benwang is a very impatient person, you know well why benwang recited your history. If not for yourself think about your family. If obedient benwang will make sure to leave them alive or else..
Torturing is benwangs forte and favorite thing to pass time, you don't have means to suicide and benwang also won't let you. Your only option left is to be tortured to death but that too depends on benwang, till when to let you receive death."
Pei Jin wanted Anzi to cooperate through pressure so he wouldn't have to show his demonic nature infront of yusheng. If not for Yusheng he would have already started to torture Anzi in the underground prison of Qinwang.
Yusheng who was listening calmly like as if listening to story finally speaks " mm.. pan Anzi..this lord also gives you chance to be honest with qinwang.. or with this lord's ability without even shedding a drop of blood has ways to torture your mind body and soul... this lord will definetly drag you from yama's door until you have everything taken out.
Be wise, like qinwang this lord is very impatient, it's past midnight this lord has to sleep don't have this lord irritated from delayed sleep."
