Amethyst kept thinking about why he would even be talking to her, and that is the only reason she could think of. The man in front of her must like her, and he wanted to know more about her. Amethyst became flustered once she came to that conclusion. While Amethyst was an 18-year-old woman, she had no relationships with the opposite sex. Although while she was stuck in her delusion, Elder Qin had walked back inside the room. He sat down and said,
"Lucifer, we have agreed to your deal. I just have a question: would you forfeit your right to interfere with the guild?"
"Hmm?"
Alex smiled at Elder Qin's question and quickly realized he could make even more than he thought. Alex just shook his head, and Elder Qin, taking that as him denying his question, quickly said,
"Would you reconsider if we were to give you a thousand gold coins?"
"I'm sorry, however, I will have to refuse."
"What about an epic item?"
"Again, I'm sorry."
"Then what about an absolute alliance with your guild?"
Alex smiled at the offer he had been waiting for. While he might be an equity holder, that doesn't mean their two guilds would help each other out. Even if he kept the rights to interfere with the guild, he still had to get approval from other equity holders for an alliance. He had wanted to have an alliance with the guild anyway, and this just accomplished it. Alex smiled, nodded, and then said, "Alright, that's fine with me. However, I do expect this to last until I lose my equity or my guild gets disbanded."
"That is a given. Now could you explain the details?"
"Mhm, first, let's sign the contract."
Alex and Elder Qin signed a system-enforced contract. Then they also signed an equity transfer contract. After everything, Alex then explained how he would get them a foundation inside the Holy Empire.
"I'm sure you know about the Church of Light and can probably guess I have a good relationship with them."
"Mhm."
"Well, I'm technically a High Priest, so getting you a foundation will be relatively easy. Then I can ask the Saint to be your backer and sponsor inside the Holy Empire. Considering our friendship, I believe she will accept."
"A high priest?"
"The structure of a church goes from Follower, Devotee, Priest, Paladin, Paladin Captain, High Priest, Bishop, Pope, Saint."
"So you have a pretty high position inside the Church of Light."
"That is correct."
"Alright, I'll need to finish the rest of my meetings for the day. Once I'm done, I'll come with you to the Holy Empire for that, and we will also conduct the trade. Does that work for you?"
"That works out fine for me. Well, let's now discuss that legendary weapon."
"If possible, I would like a mage staff if that could be possible."
"Don't worry, I'll give you one that will lead to a legendary mage's wand."
"Thanks in advance."
"Mhm, I believe it's time for Mia and me to leave. I'm sure you have a lot of work to do."
"Ugh! You have no idea. Alright, Amethyst, could you please walk them out."
"Understood."
Amethyst gestured for them to follow her as they left the room. They quickly made it to the lobby where Amethyst gave a nod and began to return to Elder Qin. Blossom stared at Alex with surprise. She had just come down from a meeting with a guild wanting to invest in her guild. Although they were offering a lot of credits, they wanted 51% of the equity. Blossom had zero plans on giving up control over her guild. Curious about who had walked them out of the building and why they were here, Blossom walked toward them. Once she arrived in front of them, she asked in a curious tone,
"I never got to ask who you were here to see?"
"I'm sorry; however, that's a guild secret for now."
"Huh? Guild secret? You're in a guild, Lucifer?"
"Mhm, I have my own guild. We were here to meet someone for business."
"Oh? Did it go well?"
"Mhm, it went better than I expected. Much better than I expected."
While Alex wasn't a genius, he still had a cunning side to him. Although Elder Qin believed he had only signed a simple alliance agreement, Alex knew it was much, much more than that. Not only was it an absolute alliance, the highest level of alliance there was, it was also enforced by the system through a system contract. Luckily, he had made this deal early in the game where the system-enforced contracts hadn't gained their infamous reputation. In the past timeline, a system contract was often called "making a deal with god" or "making a deal with the devil." The reason for that was because, just like contracts made with a deity, the terms had to be followed. When a person refused to follow the terms, they could face immense punishment and penalties. While some contracts had the penalty written into them, the ones that didn't would completely give up the rights of the person who breached the contract. These included the right to participate, the right of freedom, the right of personal belongings, and the right of continuous growth. While it might seem heartless to most, Alex knew losing the right to participate would be the worst penalty of the punishment. After that, the second worst one would be the loss of continuous growth. The right of participation includes playing in the leagues and the game. While forfeiting their rights to participate inside the game can be accepted by most, losing the right to participate in the leagues is not. The leagues won't start until the first Tier 2 player appears, however, it would change the very structure of the world and universe as they knew it.
Alex and Mia said their goodbyes to Blossom and left the Black Sea Hotel. They quickly went to the bank that was located inside the city. Alex was glad that the banks had a shared system. So if you put something into a bank in one city, it will appear in another city's bank. Alex needed to get the recipe from his bank, and he also decided to just write the quest details on a piece of paper. The quest led to a legendary mage's staff. The staff was the weapon of choice of the Fire King. The Fire Ruler was a legendary fire element mage who had mastered the fire element to its pinnacle! In his prime, he was able to conjure a condensed and miniature blue star. He had only used that attack once, and that one-time use had crippled him. However, it achieved its desired effect; it had killed a deity!
