Alex looked over at Elder Qin's smile and cursed himself once again. He knew that this might bring trouble to him later down the road. He decided that he needed to get the upper hand, and the best way to do that would be to reveal his final card. He knew this card would change the future drastically; however, he needed to use his ace in the hole. Alex knew that he needed to protect himself; however, he wasn't going to let himself lose out on profits.

"Could you keep that confidential?"

"While I would love to, Lucifer, you know we won't be able to."

"Yeah, I knew that already. I just wanted to try my luck."

"I believe this was very productive. I will see you soon then."

"Wait!? I have another proposal. I would like to make a trade, although I'm not sure you would be able to decide on this."

Elder Qin was surprised and a little annoyed by Alex's response. Although he was annoyed, he decided to at least hear him out. Alex knew that he couldn't keep this under wraps normally; however, he knew a way to. There are two ways to prevent the Library of Secrets from selling information about you. You can either become a shareholder or have a Secret Membership card. The Library of Secrets has multiple levels of membership cards given to allies. They range from Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and then Secret. Alex knew that it would be difficult; however, the best scenario is if he can become a shareholder.

"I would like to sell my help in fully establishing your guild inside the Holy Empire for 7% of the Secret Library's equity."

"What!?"

"Huh!?"

"Alex!?"

Mia, Amethyst, and Elder Qin looked at Alex in shock from his proposal. Amethyst stared at him as if he were a fool. Equity inside the Library of Secrets pays out millions every year. It's also very controlled and is mostly in the guild master's hands. In fact, Elder Qin only got 15% last year after winning against another superpower! He's been with the guild for 30 years and had a long list of achievements, yet he only gained equity recently. However, Elder Qin looked at this proposal objectively after he had calmed down. He knew that they would never be able to establish themselves anytime soon because of the superpower inside the Holy Empire. The superpower inside the Holy Empire is called Zealots. Through some unknown coincidence, people believed that god came in many forms and that god was simply playing the role of the supreme being in all religions. They held this same belief inside the game and would later have the support of most of the churches. Elder Qin knew that establishing the Library of Secrets would be a pipe dream because of the hostile relationship between the two superpowers. Elder Qin had already made his decision, looked at Alex with narrowed eyes, and asked,

"To what extent would you help?"

"I'll be able to secure you a stable foundation and a good sponsor. However, I won't be able to help you past that."

"Please wait a moment while I discuss with the guild's higher-ups."

Elder Qin smiled at Alex's response as he had expected this. He then left the room once again. Of course, he couldn't make this decision himself and went to ask the guild leader what to do. Elder Qin quickly contacted the guild leader and waited for a response. A few minutes later, he was invited to a virtual meeting and quickly accepted the invite. Once inside, he noticed that all the elders were there, including himself, a total of 6 elders. The guild master was also present. While the elders looked annoyed at the sudden meeting, the guild master broke their thoughts with his statement.

"I gathered everyone here today to discuss something important. Someone has offered us a very lucrative deal for 7% of our equity."

"Huh? Someone wants equity in our guild?"

"What was the offer, guild master?"

"…"

"They offered help in establishing a foundation inside the Holy Empire and a strong sponsor inside the Holy Kingdom."

""…""

"This is something, alright. If we could push our influence into the Holy Empire, then we could double or even triple our profits!"

"This is something we need, as we could even expand our information network."

"So what's everyone's decision? We need a vote of 4 for it to be official."

"Quick question, does he want to involve himself in our guild operations as well?"

"I'm not sure; you would have to ask Elder Qin."

"I'm not sure either, however, I doubt it. He has his own guild that he just established, and I believe he would be focusing on developing that."

"I see."

"Well, let's start the voting, and I cast my vote as yes."

"I cast my vote as no."

"I also vote no."

"He gets a yes from me."

"I vote yes."

"I vote against it."

"I vote yes."

"Well, that settles it. With 4 saying yes and 3 saying no, we will agree to his demands. Elder Qin, I'll leave you in charge of it. Also, if you could give up the management rights with the equity, that would be even better. I'll leave it up to you to decide what you want to offer."

"Very well, guild master. I'll ensure it gets done."

The guild master disappeared from the virtual meeting, followed by the elders.

While Elder Qin was in his meeting, Alex was talking with Amethyst.

"How long have you been a part of the guild?"

"I've been a part of the guild for 3 years."

"Oh? How old are you then?"

"I'm 18 years old."

"So you've been with the guild since you were 15, and you're Elder Qin's bodyguard. You must have good talent to have achieved this so fast."

Alex knew that Amethyst would become the heir to the Library of Secrets. I don't know when it was decided; however, it might have already happened considering she's with Elder Qin. Alex saw no loss in becoming familiar with the next leader of the Library of Secrets. Amethyst was wondering why he was curious about herself. Although she was with Elder Qin, she wasn't that well known. At first, she assumed it was because of her position; however, she quickly dismissed that because of the possibility of him becoming an equity holder. The only thing she could think of would be her appearance. Amethyst knew she was beautiful, with her long and silky purple hair. Then her wide golden eyes, then her soft and acne-free skin. Lastly, her captivating body with the perfect breast size and a perky ass. Amethyst thought to herself, "Does he like me?"
