"Can you stop staring?"

Ning Shufen wasn't paying attention to Cheng and didn't hear what he just said. She just keeps staring at him without blinking and it creeps him out. Why would she keep staring at him? Is his face strange? Is his clothes weird?

Her eyes were sharp. His every single move was seen by her, even when he poke his face earlier and when he pick his nose. The way he wave his hands when he didn't like the smell. She saw all of that. He had small habits.

"yeah, you broke through inside two times, right? However that is still not enough"

Ning Shufen also knew this. She could only nod her head because it was true that it wasn't enough. It was always not enough. All her life her strength was never enough, it was too low.

"That's good enough. Don't be discourage"

Ning Shufen stared at him and sigh. Was it really enough? In her whole life she was never enough and that's the reason why she can't really tell if it's enough.

Cheng didn't comment further and made sure that the cave was still safe as it is. They still had to return home. Ning Yaling must be worried and Cheng was also worried that the Ning Family may notice her absence. That won't do her good.

"Let's go"

Ning Shufen nodded and stood up, she still had to go back to that monster house. Her body turned cold. She wasn't scared to them anymore, it was just her memories that hunts her down. Hunting her even her dreams. Can she overcome every nightmares? She must overcome it, there's no time to think negative things.

She glanced at the cave before she went and followed Cheng. How many days has it been? They walked without talking and yet it wasn't awkward nor did she feel uncomfortable around him being around with his appearance being different. Shufen stared at his back, he was really tall and lean. His white long hair was really shiny and really attractive.

Their journey was peaceful, no bandits now whatever. It was just the two of them. Cheng started to hum in a low voice, it wasn't sad nor it's cheerful. It was just mellow and pleasing to the ears.

"Let's hurry"

Cheng started to run fast. Shufen could only follow, although she was confused. She still ran fast and followed him. She was also thankful that she wasn't wearing a dress or something that could be a hassle. The road wasn't rough so she can ran as fast as she can, without being tripped.

"Not fast enough"

He didn't kept his pace and run much more faster than before, Shufen was baffled but regain his composure. She hissed and run further, the air was thin in the mountain. Her breathing was getting short and heavy, she was still weak. Cheng didn't stop and just glanced at her for a second and continue. He didn't wait nor did he slow down his pace. He wasn't going to go easy on her.

Shufen didn't know anymore, her mind was blank. She just kept running without rest and didn't even notice the carriage nearby. They we're just running around. Circling around the lake for so long. They had long arrived and Cheng was just waiting for Shufen to notice that they arrived however it seems that she won't notice it for the mean time as she just kept running. Not even noticing that Cheng had stopped and just stared at her.

He had a smirk in his face as he stare at her. He was enjoying every bit of her struggle. It may look like he was bullying her but he was just helping her have more stamina.
