Chapter 73: I called him (1):

At that moment the doctor came in and he told us the DNA result. "Mr Zhao the DNA test you did with the fetus, the result is that you're 99.8% related. You're the child's father. Also Miss Fu this is your ultra scan picture," explained the doctor as he handed me the files with the DNA result and the photograph. Ru Yu turned towards me and hugged me. "Mister Zhao, be careful," muttered the doctor as Ru Yu let me go.

We walked out of the ward whilst thanking the doctor. "Ah Ru Yu, when your child is born remember to invite me to their 1-month celebration and 100 days,£ shouted the doctor as we continued walking out. I noticed that Ru Yu gave the doctor an Ok hand gesture. "You know him?" I asked as Ru Yu nodded. "You see how I went to the same university as Qi Yan ? We both went to Harvard in the USA. That guy was also in our year. Qi Yan did a dual major. He majored in Computer Science and Business. I only did business, we were both in the same business class with 2 other guys. We were all close friends even if we didn't take the same subjects. That guy who talked to us is called Yi Jun. Son of a medical typhoon Mr Han. I believe the Han family has business with the Fu family," explained Ru Yu.

"I don't know actually. I don't like to involve myself with the company," I replied. There will be no way I ever need to deal with the company's business. I've 3 older siblings there's no need for me to deal with the company.

"Anyways we need to hurry over to the Fu family mansion in city Y," I muttered as I walked quicker over to Ru Yu's car. He immediately started the car and drove off as I placed the address on his GPS map thingy. We will get there in 20 minutes.

I closed my eyes for a second. I was too tired. However, who would've known that the next time I opened my eyes was when we already arrived at the door of my house? I did not have a good nap. That one question in my brain seemed to have an answer. I'm going to call him. It's only right because out of all of us, he is one of the only people who care about Hui Qing.

I stepped out of the car as one of the maids led Ru Yu to park his car somewhere in the garage. As soon as he was out of earshot, I called him. Right now it was 4 pm on 25 June 2023. Oh dear it's already the middle of the year. Time has flown by.

From China to the USA, the time difference was 12 hours. So right now it was 26 June 2023 over there. I dialled the phone and called him. A deep voice answered my call by saying Hello. (The conversation below):

Fu Huai Ning: Hello?

Fu Huai Ning: What's up Hui Yun?

Hui Yun: Second gege, Jie Jie has gotten kidnapped again.

I said this line whilst crying. It's been so long since I last heard his voice. 5 years exactly. When Huai Ning heard this, not only did he not shout at me, but he also comforted me. But I could hear in his voice that he was really worried.

Huai Ning: Hui Yun calm down. Have you called the police? Have you told our parents?

Hui Yun: Yes.

Huai Ning: Ok, Hui Yun. I'm going to book the next flight back to China. I'll tell you when I get there. Keep me updated on what's happening.

I agreed to do so and he ended the call.

Extra notes:

It is traditionally believed that the first 100 days after the child's birth is the most vulnerable period for both the mother and the newborn. Therefore, they are advised to stay home to avoid contracting diseases. This is why making it through the first 100 days is the perfect time to celebrate.

This is the baby's first important event. On that day, relatives and friends are invited to the celebration party at home or sometimes at a restaurant. They bring gifts and blessings for the baby. The parents will give out red envelopes to their relatives and friends.
