Chapter 16: The date (3)

" Do you guys have a booking?" asked the receptionist as I entered with Golden dragon with Wei Wei, Cheng Li and Fang Feng. Qi Yan had told us to go inside first and he would join us later. "Yes, should be under young master Qi for 1.30 lunch," I replied as she check her system. "No, there isn't a young master Qi here but there is a Young Miss Fu assigned to this time," she expressed as I nodded and replied, "that's me,". "May I see your Id card?" she asked as I grabbed it out from my bag and handed it to her whilst my brain was deep in thought as to why Qi Yan didn't put his name. " Please come this way, Miss Fu," asked the waiter who was called by the receptionist to lead the way. I nodded and shouted for the other 3 who were taking pictures of the koi fish painting. They finally noticed me and nudged each other to follow me.

The waiter led us into a separate room and gave a few menus to us and told us to order online by scanning the QR code. We thank him and sat down in one of the chairs. "Guys I don't care what you order as long as you keep the budget down. No more than 500 yuan," I announced as they nodded. "We know what you mean. We'll save money for you and your future husband to live well," smirked Wei Wei I glared at her sweetly as we all laughed together.

"What's all the commotion about?" Qi Yan asked as soon as he walked in. He removed his jacket and placed it on his chair, edging the chair over to mine. Since he has done this our chairs were an inch away. "Girl talk," Fang Feng replied whilst nudging the other two. We were sitting at a rectangular table fit for at least 6 people to sit if we were in a normal restaurant. Qi Yan sat next to me as Cheng Li, Xiao Feng and Wei Wei sat opposite us. Qi Yan laughed at Xiao Feng's statement as he leaned over and asked me what I wanted to eat. "We've decided to get 2 large portions of fried noodles to share and then some dim sum..." I replied as they all nodded. "So less?" Qi Yan mentioned when I handed him my phone to see if he wanted to add anything else. "We won't be able to finish it if we order a lot..." I analyzed. "You can take away," retorted Qi Yan as he practically chose everything on that list. As I look in wonder, the Qi family was much richer than I think.

We had quite a jolly lunch full of laughter and everything. . . "Hui Qing, we'll bug off and let you two have your own time. Enjoy," Cheng Li announced as she took the paper bag which had containers filled with food from me. "Don't you guys want a lift?" Qi Yan asked as Cheng Li shook her head. "We'll take the bus and walk, good to get our muscles working after we had lunch," answered Fang Feng as they dragged each other away laughing and smiling back at us. "It's pretty obvious what they are trying to do right?" I remarked whilst Qi Yan smirked and grabbed my hand saying "then let's take this opportunity,". He held my hand running in the opposite direction as I asked "Where are we going?" he turned back to me and replied "you'll see later. Don't worry about the car I've asked someone to drive it back,"

The run turned into a walk because when we entered the park the left side of my stomach was aching. As I pulled Qi Yan to a halt he turned behind me and asked in concern "Are you ok?". "Yeah, just need to take a rest," I replied. "You should do more exercise," sneered Qi Yan. "The school wants us to at least do an hour of running on the track every day, so I do, exercise. It's just that I have a stitch and it isn't healthy for you to run after eating," I retorted whilst laughing.

"Let's take a rest then," said Qi Yan. We walked over to the bench behind us. Luckily for us, there was a very big willow tree in front of the bench so it was quite nice. Today's weather was very nice and there was a warm breeze. We sat in silence as I watched Qi Yan texting someone on his phone. Am I that much of a bore that he has to text someone when with me? I snap back out of my thoughts as a notification pooped up on my phone. It was mum messaging on WeChat in the family group chat. The group chat was called 'Dad's old and mum's young' originally it was called 'our parents are old and we are young' but after serval discussions during dinner about the name I had to change it to Dad's old and mom's young, surprisingly dad didn't say anything. Probably because he wasn't allowed to. Anyways it's only the five of us in the group chat.

Zhan Ge: Wait what date?

Zhan Ge: When did u have a date?

Zhan Ge: Where r u right now?

Zhan Ge: Who are you with?

Xiao Yun: Ge stops sending so many messages. Your bothering Jie who's on her date.

Zhan Ge: Wait how comes u know she's on a date?

Xiao Yun: This is why I said u have low EQ

Zhan Ge: Aren't u meant to be in school rn?

Xiao Yun: The messages ur sending me are bothering me from learning.

Zhan Ge: Then mute the chat

Xue Mei Hua: Enough!

Hui Qing and Fu Hai Yu are online...
