The next few days passed in a near blur as I began rediscovering the different characters from my beloved’s story.
Lord Aaron Veska was the Duke of Astora and protector of the kingdom of Hohgei. He was also a man feared throughout the kingdom for his unyielding stance and prowess in war with a battle hammer. But more importantly, he was Priscilla’s doting father —her father— in this strange hallucination that she had no idea how to escape.
His wife was Friede Veska, Duchess by marriage, and a social climber like no other she ever met before. She insisted that Priscilla marry the kingdom’s prince. Apparently, she has been grooming her daughter all her life and waiting for this day to become a reality. She was partly the reason why Priscilla became the monster she was in the novel, feeding her daughter's jealousy with plots and concoctions to get rid of the main character of the story.
