During my period of unconsciousness, I found myself trapped inside my mind as I watched the events unfold before me like a movie.
The man named Gwyn brought me into his arms and carried me, princess-style, to the carriage I rode in earlier. I saw the guards almost panicking, seeing as I had fainted and one of them rushed inside the restaurant to retrieve Aramis who appeared moments later, fussing over me as the man I suspected was my beloved, gently placed my body inside the vehicle.
I wanted to embrace him, to pull him closer to me, only for my hands to pass right through his form.
‘It’s not yet time.’
That voice again.
“Who are you? Why are you interfering?!”
‘I am your immortal self. And I do so because it isn’t yet time for you to meet again.’
Its tone was neutral, but I could detect a hint of impatience in it. “What do you mean by that? I– I can’t live without him. I DON’T WANT TO!” I screamed loudly, trying to convey my frustration.
