Visitor Part 1

After dinner Joshua made it into his new bedroom. It was a large room on the top floor of the manor with its own private balcony that overlooked the garden. It was still adorned with all the decorations that the previous owner had placed in it. A large, tall bed stood against the wall on the opposite side of the balcony.

Two dressers filled with her old garments and a person sized mirror were also present in the room. He was impressed by the room. It was definitely the most luxurious place he had ever stayed in either of his lives.

He walked out onto the balcony and the crisp night air brushed against his skin. He looked around; from this third-floor vantage point he could see the entirety of the garden below him. There was a large fence that surrounded the perimeter of the property. He could see other mansions on the other side of the fence. Each was grand or grander than his own.
