74. Bank of Dark Mana

Aisha walked out of the hotel after she changed into the fanciest clothes she had with her. Hayden, on the other hand, went for something simple yet formal.

Their trip started in three states and failed in them all even though the wanted person was in those places a few seconds ago.

At the fourth destination, things seemed to brighten up for them because it wasn't part of their plan to reach that one place luckily, they reached it before her and were inches close to catching her but failed once again because their detectors failed to capture her mana.

"How the hell does she manage to escape before we even reach her?!" Hayden groaned angrily before he sipped down the cappuccino Aisha had bought to calm him before the dark mana controlled him.

"We need to think like her," she mumbled while rolling the straw inside her cup of iced coffee, "and how are we supposed to do that?" He huffed and dropped his chin on the table.

Aisha stared at him before she put her cheek on her palm and turned to look at the crowd on the side, "if I were a witch, where would I go to avoid attention?" Hayden rose and sat properly before he stared at Aisha's black orbs; they were dark like coal, but there was still a glimpse of her original brown glitters right above the two circles that were staring at the people as if they were a group of clouds moving around to mesmerize her.

"What do you have in mind?" He wondered but didn't think she would hear him let alone answer him.

"We're going to the casinos"

"To where?" He stared at her baffled by what she just said, "to Las Vegas to gamble"

"Wait- What?! Aisha?!" He followed her back to the hotel and even went as far as to stop her from leaving the room after she changed into a seductive black dress.

"Step aside"

"No will do"

"General Hayden, are you disobeying your captain's orders?" She rose an eyebrow at him and watched as his body flinch before trembling, "I'm sorry master but YOU now are underage, and I can't let you do what you want"

"My mind ain't though?"

"But your body is" he stared at her with no hesitation on his face or his eyes, so she decided to take care of the main issue here. She sighed before she forced the dark mana within her to change her body to an older one, "better?" She asked him while he stared at her in shock.

Hayden shook his head and rubbed his forehead before he looked back at her with worry in his eyes, "do you need to go that far?"

"Well, that's what I saw in movies"

"Augh. That's why you kids shouldn't be staring at the screen for too long, it's good you didn't lose all your brain cells"

"What did you just say to ME?" Aisha whispered making Hayden just realize what he had just told her, his one and only captain and master, "s- Sorry, master"

"I'll be waiting for your apology letter after we find The Witch" they teleported to Las Vegas in an instant after night came. The two walked slowly to the biggest casino there and separated to increase their search zone.

"Oh dear, I won again~," A lady said happily while collecting her fortune, men around the table started fuming from anger, while some were planning for a way to get rid of her, "oh no, I guess I lost" her smile faded for a second before it returned when she turned to face Aisha who was staring down at her coldly.

"Enough with the cat and mice play. Let's end what we started a long time ago"

"How did I not notice you~? You did great in hiding it, young miss. Though I gotta give you your prize for making it that far first~" Her smile irked something in Aisha making her freeze time leaving them the only two moving around.

"Oh, you already mastered something this impossible? You really might be my master's descendant~" Aisha's expression remained the same and didn't change at all, on the other hand, the darkness within her got worse and the darkness in her eyes became unbearably terrifying, but The Witch was enjoying it to the max.
