Chapter 6: Clearing the Dungeon

Storing away the heart and some of the bones of the tiger I continue through the dungeon. After that fight I continue through with no real difficulties. Once I reach the end another large room appears. Flying through the air are several different birds made of just blood, bones, or just feathers.

Running around me are several different wolves, panthers, leopards, and tigers. Standing on the hill are ogres and giants. Off hidden in the bushes there are several porcupines, snakes, and squirrels. While from time to time I can see worms poking their heads out. Without a second thought I run straight into the room.

With a smile I start by sending feathers to attack the things in the air. I slash down at something. From my back I extend a metal spike. I run up and kick off one of the creatures. As I do so a metal spike pierces through it.

With bones falling down I use them to bound up to an ogre. I cut through the ogre. Boulders come raining down on me. I get under a troll and skewer it with a metal spike. It falls to its knees. Some of the boulders crush it.

I go into the air and deflect the breath attacks, bones, and feathers down to the creatures below. Some of the ogres and trolls start to throw some of the smaller creatures up towards me. I pierce through those thrown at me.

I dive bomb. Using the blood control, blood explodes out from me. It drowns out most of the small creatures from the bushes. I smile and with a wave send a wave of blood to panthers. I spin around cutting through several wolves. I bound off a tiger and cut its head off.

Grabbing the blood I try to form it into a shield. But with so much else going on it just dissipates and seeps into the ground. With a frown I bring the feathers back to me. I then go to shape the blood into a shield and it stays. 'I need to improve my mental capability, it seems. Controlling so many different things is not easy.

'Perhaps I can find some sort of teacher in this world. I do need to learn how to properly control my innate abilities. But all this fighting is helping me figure it out. But I am having difficulty using more of my complicated bloodline traits simultaneously. Perhaps if I go to some sort of academy I can find the right teacher.'

Using the blood shield to block several attacks I turn it into a tornado and send it to the other side. I slow down struggling to keep the tornado going. I get hit by a tiger and get sent flying. I land on my feet and a boulder almost hits me. I pierce right through it. Some feathers rain down on me.

I send feathers of my own to intercept. The blood tornado falls apart drowning the rest of the snakes, squirrels, and porcupines. I shake my head and fly into the remaining birds. I cut through them with my sword.

I land on a boulder and push off of it. Rushing towards some of the trolls. Smiling, I cut their legs. And more blood drips down. I use the blood as whips tripping several of the ogres and trolls around me. I do a backflip landing on the back of a tiger.

Metal spikes come out my feet and I fall through the tiger. As I fall I extend more metal spikes out. I retract the metal spikes as I get to the other side and lunge towards a panther. I grab it with a hand and vault over it. Before letting go I extend a metal spike through it.

I roll under a tiger's paw. The tiger's paw hits the panther and I thrust a sword up through it. I run along the bottom and blood spews out from the tiger. I send a couple of feathers up to finish off the birds in the air.

I jump between the ogres and trolls swinging their clubs hitting the tigers and panthers. I grab a leopard and throw it into some wolves. I swing up hitting a wolf with a sword. I look up and notice that there is a camera in the dungeon. 'So this isn't a natural dungeon. Someone must of created it to test new people. Things are far more curious in this game than it first seems. Looks like I might be able to get a teacher easier than expected.

'Or it could be just the way the dungeon keeps track and is able to update the leaderboards. Well whatever its purpose is, doesn't matter. I still have to take out the enemies in front of me. But there are other players I also have to deal with once I get out.

'At least I will be at full health and still have plenty of stamina left to face such weaklings. It's not like they are able to complete this dungeon on the Just Why difficulty. But to be safe I'll make sure not to use two of those racial abilities. Well some of them will be able to use curses most likely. Good thing that I chose the curse immunity from the unicorn bloodline. So it won't matter.

'Some will try to limit my visibility. But thats why I chose dark vision, blindness immunity, mist vision, and the ability to see through illusions. So I should be covered for anything they try to slow me down.

'Regardless I should try to keep some trump cards for myself. Well they don't know that I already have two intents. So there is also that. But I don't know how to utilize either. What good does having something do if I can't use it? None. But that is why after I complete this dungeon I'll go to find someone to teach me stuff.

'Well I will make sure I walk out covered in blood then. I won't even check what loot I got. There is no need to. Not till I'm somewhere safe,' I finish my thoughts and kill the rest of the enemies.
