Chapter 12: Decimated Assassins

"Young one, why are you killing off my people? And so brazenly at that?"

"You don't like me doing so. I don't like having a hit put on me," I step forward, "Would you?"

"Doesn't matter, killing people is part of this job," he says, raising an arm.

"What no one has ever come to exact vengeance. I doubt it. Probably too weak to do so," I shrug and gather the feathers that I have scattered across the place.

"Lucky for you advanced and awakened people can't attack those without incurring severe penalties, well there is an exception," he says.

I point the feathers at him, "Now as long as my name is taken off of the hit list, I will leave it at this."

"You'll leave now. Whether we do so or not is irrelevant to you," he clutches his hand and a sphere of wind appears above me.

"Then the bloodbath shall continue," I send the feathers at him and resummon the bone shield blocking the blast of wind. I flap up near the guy.

The wind whistles around him, moving the feathers away from him. With a flap of my wings I get next to him and extend a metal spike. He dodges out of the way. I turn the blood armor into a spear and through it at him.

He raises his hand and wind rushes past me. The spear continues and hits his hand. He shakes it off. I close in once again while sending feathers to other assassins. He kicks me and I get sent flying back. I extend a metal spike and skewer through another assassin. I leap up towards the guy flying.

He swings his arm. I drop down avoiding some wind. I land on some assassins, I hear their skulls crack underneath me. I leap to the wall and back up at the guy in the air. I use a metal spike to pierce through a turrent of wind. I kick him.

He blocks and punches. I go flying back. I low kick an assassin. The wind blade stops before the assassin. I skewer the assassin and toss them to the side. From below I hear, "Daralan stop you won't be able to kill her any time soon. I have gathered the information that is available about her," a person raises up from the ground and tosses a piece of gaia stone at the guy in the air.

"Yuna-Milim, what took so long to get this information?" Daralan questions.

"What do you expect a miracle? When it's a new celestial. You want to read over the race and bloodline traits," Yuna-Milim shakes her head.

I stand fly up and bring back all the feathers scattered about. I also bring all the blood close to me. "What are some of those traits, I've never heard of them before," he yells.

Yuna-Milim looks around, "Who went after her?"

One of the assassins still alive looks at me and says, "She's already slaughtered that one."

I hear Daralan yell, "Next time you fools should get what information you can about a potential target."

I interrupt while pointing the feathers at the weaker assassins, and turning the blood into pikes, "So will I still be having to deal with assassins following me?"

Yuna-Milim looks up at me crosses her arms, "I think you've made it clear what is going to happen here, if we don't take that request down."

Daralan scuffs, "Yet she still went to attack an advanced person. Why should we let her go?"

"She isn't just any celestial," Yuna-Milim glares at Daralan, "She is part of the heaven's chosen group. Who can revive a total of three times."

"Darn it," he growls.

"Well as long as the quest to assassinate me is taken down I guess I can leave it at this," I turn to leave, dropping the feathers to the ground and absorbing the blood.

"I never. . ." Daralan starts when Yuna-Milim jumps up and slaps him, "We can do so. I don't want to lose any more members."

I nod and walk out. I turn the stream off and see the guards standing there. "I take it, I have to go to a cell then?"

They look at eachother unsure what to do. Several people see the mess within the building as I had left many holes throughout it. Whispering amongst themselves. Some shutter at the sight, while others throw up at the sight of the mangled up bodies.

I hear several ask, "Did she do that? What a vicious person? Isn't that the assassin's guild? What a brutal scene. Did she have to go so far? For such a scene there is a surprising lack of blood."

I shake my head and sit down. I take a deep breath and enjoy the fresh air. 'It sucks that my swords that Hashim have made are already broken. I need to get stronger material for him to craft with.'

I send him more materials and he responds, "Did you already break the weapons?"

"Yes. Someone hired assassins on me in game."

"Enough said. I don't need to know how it went. We'll get you some new weapons. You seem to have sent extra material this time."

"I know you all need material to practice on anyway. Don't worry about it," after sending that message I stand up and look at the guards. They have me follow them away from the assassins guild.

As we walk through the city I notice that we pass the prison and are still walking. I shrug my shoulders and follow them. We eventually get to a fenced off place. 'Perhaps the city mayor/lord or whatever wants to see me. Probably over what just happened.

'Can't say I blame him. This is slightly better than having to sit in prison till I'm released. I still rather not have to be here though. Oh well.'

We walk through the gate and through an orchid. I look around and smile at the sight of cherry blossoms in bloom. It's been a while since I got to see them. As we walk deeper I see several different flowers and bushes.

By the time we reach the front door, I have calmed down. In front stands a man who has us wait outside. I turn to look at the garden once more and watch the birds and butterflies fly through it so peacefully. A tear trickles down my face, 'Last thing me and Snow did together was walk through a garden and enjoy the atmosphere, right after a difficult fight inside of a game.'
