"Wahh!!" As Wan Long was inspecting these items in his dantian, a few words appeared in front of eyes.

[Whoever you are, you are now my, Long Er Du's, successor. You have inherited the legacy of one of the Seven God's power, the power of Gluttony. This power was created by me over the course of tens of thousands of years. I was the leader of the Seven Gods, the strongest existences in all of the many universes. I have met my untimely end, and I hope my power has landed in the hands of someone with talent that surpasses everyone else. I hope my successor will replace me as the leader of the Seven Gods, maybe even further, and dominate the heavens as well.]

As he read these words in front of him, he was shocked. He could not believe that the power he obtained was the creation of the strongest existence in the many universes. This made him wonder just strong the existences that were above his world and knowledge.

But as he was in the midst of being shocked, more words appeared in front of his eyes.

[All good things in this world are not free. My power is an example, though it may have godly powers of allowing you to skip bottlenecks in your cultivation and strengthening you, you will receive backlashes from this power if you do not feed it cultivation materials every 24 hours. The pain caused by the backlash is no joke, it can make you suffer till you wish to die.]

Just as he was about to express his displeasure for the backlash, even more words appeared.

[However, there are more good things about my power. As you get stronger, you will be able to unlock parts of my memories and my experiences. These will help you be able to better comprehend martial skills and aid you in your understanding of the martial way. Speaking of which, I shall transfer a tiny portion of my memories into your mind right now.]

After Wan Long read the words, he felt a wave of invisible energy flowing into his mind. As he closed his eyes, he found a book made from pure energy in front of him. On the book cover, there were three words written on it. Divine Devouring Technique. The book seemed to be very ancient and was emitting an aura of nobility.

Along with the Divine Devouring Technique, he found many new images in his mind that showed images of many unknown formations and places that were completely out of his scope of knowledge. But with these images, Wan Long could tell that the power of Gluttony and the Divine Devouring Technique were absolutely amazing. It would seem that even in his youth, Long Er Du was an unsurpassable existence with his power of Gluttony that he created by himself.

This proved that since young, Long Er Du had been a peak genius that was stronger than anyone among his generation and even the older generation. He had even learnt many mysterious techniques and formations that were extremely strong.

Now, these techniques were under his possession and would most likely bring much wealth and power in the future.

Now that he thought about it, Wan Long always had an interest in making formations ever since he was 7 and started reading up on it. Formations were the things that made life possible, fire starting, cleaning, and more were improved and made easier through the use of formations.

Formations could even be used to imbue weapons with certain properties, they could be used to help others cultivate faster, and some can even kill large numbers of people or defend people's territories.

However, formations could only be created by those who had a cultivation of at least the First Level of Soul Forming, where cultivators could utilise their soul force to do many more things that Body Refining realm cultivators could not accomplish.
