Like Moses

After the meeting with the president i went to pick up night crawler from the St Lucia church in Texas. It didn't take long to 'convince' him, especially when i showed that my teleportation was superior to his. In fact it was so easy that within ten minutes of meeting him I had already convinced him and had teleported us back to the Xavier mansion.

I then spent the next twenty to thirty minutes chilling, waiting for the good news from the Alkali Lake group. Waiting, i started to talk to Nightcrawler and he seemed to be just as religious as he was in the movies. He was optimistic for his future life after hearing about Stryker's downfall and the subsequent deal with the US government.

After sitting for so long i was starting to worry somewhat, especially due to the fact that my sixth sense triggered every now and then telling me Illyana was in slight danger. I felt as if i was going to go insane if i didn't do anything to help.

'Stop it Emelia. She has a whole team of people behind her and beside her, you can't always be there with her, especially if you are busy with other important things...'

I ground my teeth a little but decided to ignore the feelings for the time being.

Another ten minutes passed and that was when it happened. I felt fear pump through my heart and mind as a sharp pain burrowed through my wings that were now fully extended without my control. Nightcrawler looked completely reverential as he started bowing down, especially since a holy aura was pouring out of the pours of my body.

"Fuck, they're in danger... I'll be back."

"Yes Angel!"

I disappeared before i could even hear his response, reappearing on top of the X-men Jet. I extended my En and observed the situation around myself. That was when i look behind me and noticed a veritable tsunami wave crashing down towards the Jet, which was struggling to get high enough to dodge the wave, especially when it was so close. I could feel momentum wanting to pull me off of the roof of the jet but i simply used Gravitas Adhaerens and stuck myself to it.

The wave was a cacophony of different blue hues and pitch black. White sporadically started to collect along the top of the tsunami wave as the water started to curl, the tell tale signs of the water starting to crash downwards and at this distance that would be fatal for everyone in the Jet and myself included if i wasn't able to dodge.

'Fuck... Sis i want to make a Greater spell then merge it with Gravitas Adhaerens, I also want it to be powered by my talents in Space Time. Make it a control ability, meaning i have complete control over that element and i want the element to be water, in any form. Could i also attach this to my Nen capabilities so i am able to use the spell as a Hatsu?'

[The cost for that spell will be 70,000 of your mana pool and 350 of your Nen as well as a sacrifice of 10,000 of you HP (These will all be able to be regenerated, thanks to your perpetual life ability.)]

[Supreme Spell Aquanomos Gravitas -

Aquanomos Gravitas empowers the caster to control water in all its states—liquid, solid, and vapor. This includes the ability to shape, move, and alter the properties of water at will.

The spell taps into the fabric of space-time, enabling the caster to extend their influence over water across vast distances. The manipulation of water becomes an extension of the caster's will, irrespective of proximity.

Building upon Gravitas Adhaerens, Aquanomos Gravitas allows the caster to manipulate gravity within bodies of water. This enables the user to create areas of altered gravity, directing the flow and movement of water against the natural pull of gravity.

The spell grants the ability to control the inertia of water, allowing the caster to guide water masses through intricate movements, sudden accelerations, or complete halts without adhering to traditional physics.

Aquanomos Gravitas incorporates the surface adhesion aspect of Gravitas Adhaerens, enabling the caster to walk on water, cling to surfaces submerged in water, and traverse water environments with exceptional ease.

This spell has merged with the host's soul, making it so that if the host dies and reincarnates they will never lose this spell.]

I felt a draining of my energy and felt my body tear and rend itself as the spell was being made within seconds. My brain hurt and i felt my En completely evaporate. Sleepily and tiredly I looked back up towards the mountain of water coming towards the jet. I could feel the droplets of water starting to fall upon me as the water began its cascade downwards, the wind whipping my hair slightly, the effectiveness of the base ability of Gravitas Adhaerens began to wane as it incorporated itself into the Supreme spell i had just made.

I raised my right hand, my posture somewhat hunched as i still felt as if all my muscles had been ripped at once. I used my left hand to wipe my forehead as sweat trickled down from the effort of staying upright. 

'This is it, i need to do it now otherwise i am dead and so is Illyana.'

" {Supreme Spell Aquanomos Gravitas} !!} "

I shouted out at the top of my lungs, the very space around me bending light somewhat as the water droplets around me all stopped falling and floated in mid-air. The spell billowed outwards in a dome-like shape until it reached several thousands of meters in perimeter. The tsunami wave that was hit by the spell halted, time looking like it was halted despite the fact that it was just the spell halting the momentum and controlling the movements of the water.

I started to pant as i felt a substantial drain on my remaining energy, my mana was draining quickly, i had to finish this.

I willed the controlled water to harmlessly drop down into the valley. The water as if it was an intelligent being started to roll back onto itself with laminar flow, the water starting to slowly disperse into the valley without any violent destruction of trees or other objects in the valley. 

Feeling dead tired I used the final amount of my energy to instantly transport myself into the Jet before falling unconscious.

(Illyana's Perspective)

We watched as Illyana hunched over and held out her right hand, through the hologram of course. I instantly unbuckled myself and ran over to the back of the jet wanting to open the ramp but i felt sturdy metallic hands holding me back. I tried to pry myself from their grip but i couldn't as they lifted me off of the ground whilst holding my stomach.

"Brother! Why!? I want to help her!"

"You can't, she has already made a decision, you could not stop the wave before you can't now... Let her help us."

"A-am i so useless that i can't even help the one i love? Am i so unworthy of her?"

I felt pain spread through my heart as tears leaked from my eyes, gut wrenching pain started to coalesce in my mind as a migraine started to assault my senses because of the intense emotions I was experiencing.

"no, noo, I can't let her face this alone! I-i have to help!"

Still, like a steel vice i was held by Piotr his grip unchanging and tight.

"W-why Piotr? Why are you stopping me? I have to help her!"

This continued until the beeping disappeared from the console. I was too distraught at the time to realise but i would later find out that the wave had been controlled by Emelia and was sent down to the Valley below, calmly. 

My cries continued for a little span of time until we all heard a thudding noise as Emelia apparated in the middle of the Jet, laying face down with her wings slowly folding into her back. This broke my tizzy as I looked over to see the unconscious form of Emelia slumped across the steel floor of the Jet. Piotr even let go of me in his surprise, letting me down. Using this opportunity I ran over to her side and flipped her over onto her back. Her face looked absolutely stunning as dark bags hung under her eyes. Her expression was one of pain as she was unconscious, her eyes flickering below her eyelids every now and again.

Seeing this i started to cradle her in my arms, her body draped across my legs , and started to rock back and forth.

"Your okay Emelia, i am here..."

Everyone else within the Jet were silent as the they watched the two of them in this moment, the only one not doing so being Storm who was flying the Jet towards the mansion.
