Destroying Black Spectre and The Hand

It had been a few hours since the start of our invasion of The Hand's hideouts and the government buildings. Innocent soldiers were caught in the crossfire or misunderstood our intentions as they fired towards us.

Many of our soldiers were wounded but none dead so far, most of the anti-tank weaponry being disabled from the ships above the fight. I was watching all of this go on as Japanese fighters controlled by Hand Agents were shot down and crashed into the currently barren streets of Tokyo. The 20th generation fighters smashing them from seemingly no where as they phased in and out of their cloaking.

The Liberty fleet was currently station above the Emperor's palace as the corps taken with them defended the exterior and also aided me in my quest to get the Emperor to take temporary control over Japan, walking past the windows/open segments of the ancient building.

The halls of this building were ancient and refined, the style unique and tasteful but completed decadent. Servants guided my way as several security guards watched us closely, our military force being the only thing stopping them from taking action. Not that they could do much against me with their shitty slug throwers. My steps echoed as i noted several electrical connections throughout the building that showed escape tunnels and secret shelters for the Imperial Family.

Finally, after several minutes of being guided we were shown into a room where an old man dressed in bright yellow and purple sat with the grace of a grizzled leader. This shit didn't effect me however as I'd seen more impressive circuitry within a light bulb.

"Good it is to meet the Global Government Military... May I ask why you have initiated conflict on out fair country?"

"Orders were sent to your government that they were required to fix the population crisis through measures that were personally planned by the President herself... You refused and did the exact opposite, we graciously decided that it may not be intentional or completely true so we were sent to confirm your status. We were shot at on contact, so we have declared the government traitors to humanity and are now exterminating the threat."

"Mmmm... Indeed. It is quite a pickle. What, then brings you to this old man?"

"We wish for you to take over government for a limited time, using our forces to retain stability. During this time you are to run new elections and will be guided by the Global Government to establish proper defences from within and without to ensure stability and growth in the future."

The man mulled over my words as I connected to the Justice above and read the scans. There were no remaining air force and the ground contacts had decreased. It seems several teams had also collected suspected Black Spectre agents. There was even a report coming in from Alpha confirming the capture of a Demon.

"What is your answer... As we speak we have won the battle. The fate of your country lies in the balance and The Veritas Imperium would prefer not to be a Tyrant that expands itself unnecessarily."

"I accept. There is not much options left for me and I wish to retain the spirit of my people, to move forwards and strive for growth and change. Please thank the President Emelia for me."

"I will, now, let us start..."

Like that the battle of Tokyo came to a close as some buildings burned and the smatterings of remaining conflict echoed out amongst the city. The good thing about this battle was that there was limited civilian casualties. The downside, a lot of interviews for Pixel.

I watched Himari deal with the Emperor and retain peace and order in Japan whilst also looking at the shit going on in China, my mind being blown somewhat by how much the people hated their government and used the very first sign of our intervention to rebel.

The black spectre agents were brought back to me at Atlantis where I quickly removed any mind probes and icky mind control and freed them from their slaved selves. They were thankful but worried about just returning to society as if it never happened. This is where I offered them the chance to part of a military branch, Space force, Army, Navy and Airforce. All accepting some sort of transfer into these areas I quickly summoned my wife Kali and got her to put them in the branches they requested, with guards watching them at all times for a year at least.

There would be more security they don't know about but that was for me to know and them not to. Kali nodded and took them away, several high ranking androids and people walking behind her as they walked forwards and took these men and women by the shoulder, directing them.

Pixel was at the corner of the control room writing several key notes down for her address to the press. She was completely serious in her duties and it didn't seem anything would change for a long time.

"Sweetheart, you need to take a break... Come here, i'll help you relax."

"Five more minutes, i need to finish writing."

'Haaaah... Stubborn woman... Let's hope our children aren't the same.'

Meanwhile in China, Aurelie was currently bombarding several nuclear bunkers that had been strategically isolated from all previous knowledge on the internet. She had found these by focusing the sensors of the ship into a narrow band to scan for possible Skrull ships that her mother had warned her about.

Luckily she did too, as the nukes were just about to launch when they arrived and it ended as you thought it would. The nukes were transported into Jupiter's atmosphere and detonated on impact, impacting no one.

"Scour the entirety of China and take control of the situation, If you need it, ask for reinforcements from Japan. We may need it with the scale of the rebellion we have on our hands."

"Ai Captain!"

The space force moved around the room and began to issue her orders to the other ships whilst she looked over terrain maps for an upcoming battle with the remnants of the 'People's Army'. It held hundreds of thousands of troops and tanks and despite the distinct technological disadvantage they had, it was still a lot of numbers to deal with.

"Gudar, How much damage would a slag heap of metal travelling at 40 times the speed of sound, do to an army of hundreds of thousands?"

"A lot captain, i dare say that we could take out half if not all of them if we got a properly aimed shot and were able to gather them all in one area."

"Hmm... Let's try this..."
