Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. With him being ostracized more and more he became less and less of the cheerful young kid he use to be until eventually turning discreet and mute around others in hopes that they would stop being scared of him. Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Or will people be there to catch him if he does once again?

Another One

After they finished talking they mostly rode in silence with some casual conversations here and there about random things to pass the time. Since no Astral Beasts had shown up since they started there was never a need to guard the supplies leaving them with a lot of free time. None of them complained about it though and soon they would reach their destination. With night upon them, their little trip was coming to an end as the place came into vision. With a few barren walls that protected the town behind it and a few buildings peaking over the top, Xilo felt his body relaxing now that it was over.

"This the place Felian?"

"Yeah, we arrived a little later than I would have liked but this is where we go our own ways soon. After dropping off the materials to help with the sickness I'll be doing some over things here so I won't be able to stay with you too long. Feel free to give me a visit though, I'll be setting up shop here for a bit in town. I get quite lonely so having someone around to talk to is nice."

"Are you sure you don't need any help with that?"

"Nope I'll be fine, thanks for asking though."

"Alright, just making sure."

With the town's lights guiding the way for them, Xilo took her words under consideration. She didn't seem like a bad person and after what just happened he was sure to give her a visit again. Even if it was just to give her an apology. Looking on each side of them all three of the girls had fallen asleep leaving only him, Seli and Felian now. He didn't feel like waking them just yet so he let them be as he talked with them. Letting time pass they arrived at the town around midnight as two guards walked up to them. Letting Felian deal with it herself, Xilo analyzed the town. "It doesn't seem nearly as bad here." The other town didn't even have guards outside.

"Welcome to Darenfelt, enjoy your stay."

With a slight bow they were welcomed inside the town without any issues. Entering the town Xilo slowly woke up the girls as they made their way to the drop off point. Some guards had joined them in protecting the supplies as they walked but nothing happened the whole way. Once they arrived Xilo jumped down from the cart with four women in toe. Turning around he looked up at Felian's black hair that went down to her shoulders. She wasn't much of a beauty but there was something natural and gentle to her. "Yilel...." That name flashed by as he looked up at her for a second before he waved it off.

"Sorry for the trouble I caused you. I hope we get to talk again. Good luck with your business."

""Bye.""

"Bye byes."

"....Bye."

"Don't worry about it too much, weird things like this have happened before. I can handle the rest by myself so enjoy your stay and good luck to you as well. Don't have too much fun with those ladies though."

With a wink she dropped that bomb and left Xilo red in the face as he stiffly turned around. Met with giggles coming from each direction he had tried his best to compose himself as he turned to Seli. She probably knew this town the best so following her around was the best idea. "Besides, she said she would help." If he let her escape now, how could he confirm his hunch. He also didn't dislike her company as much as he initially thought he would have. She was growing on him so having her leave would be a let down, that was also a part of the reason he asked her to help him out.

"So Seli, Where to next? I assume you've got somewhere in mind for us."

With a slightly teasing smile he asked that question as they started walking down the street as a group.

"Eh? When did I become a guide..."

"Since you agreed to help me out, now where to."

"Fine...I asked Felian about some places to stay before we parted ways. Follow me, just know we'll be sleeping in separate rooms! Oh and in the morning we can begin trying to take control of your..unique power."

"That's fine."

Xilo wasn't sad about her comments though like she thought he would be. Instead he was quite happy to hear a normal reply from someone. Xelfia, Tearia and Relia had no problems sleeping in the same room as him instantly and well that was fine. He wasn't sure he could seriously handle a fourth one. "These three are already more than enough." He could already feel their eyes glaring at them now as they walked. So having some normalcy was nice for once. "Plus these girls might tear her apart if that happened." Arriving at an Inn a little ways away the five of them quickly bought two rooms as they went to bed. They were all tired and needed some rest.

Once they were in their rooms Xilo dealt with the usual set up as the girls pounced on him instantly. While Seli slowly walked into her room alone and laid on her bed. Staring up at the ceiling, she waited for sleep to take over as a blade extended into her vision. Staring at the blade for a couple seconds, her breathing quickened as she thought back to Xilo's transformation. "So there's another one..." Thinking that she retracted the blade as she fell asleep. With only the sounds of breathing filling the night eventually the sun peeked it's head out waking everyone up.

Once they were awake they all met for breakfast before quickly heading out the back of the Inn to a training area they had there. Many people used this place so they accommodated many different types. Including those who walked the Astral Road and wanted a place to train. Entering a building made specifically for practice the five of them stretched their bodies as Seli walked to the middle of the room. It was quite a basic wooden room filled with a few windows on the top of the walls to let light in but other than that it was pretty private. It was simple and straight to the point, perfect for training.

"So Xilo, are you ready to begin?"

Super late today, sorry about that :c

Enjoy.
