Day 65: Pure friendship (III)

Once Blake was sure he had closed it properly, he pressed the button and watched as everything started to work. He was thinking that nothing would go wrong and that he would soon have his goal in his hands, but the voice of the system anticipated the result and made a presence in the place.

"Failed what?" Although he was surprised that the system told him that, Blake was even more confused when he saw how the apple that he had added to the mixer completely disappeared without a trace. Blake quickly did the first thing that came to mind and opened his inventory looking for answers to what was going on.

He was sweeping his eyes around the place when he noticed a strange image of a dish that didn't really look good, so he selected it and saw what it said.

"What kind of poison is this, I'm sure if I try this thing, I'll last a whole month with a stomach ache. Why did it come out like this? I only put an apple in the mixer, it shouldn't be that big of a deal." Blake was still thinking about why it had ended that way, he was sure that the system had something to do with the notifications he heard, but it was too ridiculous for a simple apple to become such an atrocity. He didn't want to see it anymore and left it in his inventory to then go back to take another one and try to repeat it again.

He did practically the same thing, put an apple inside and pressed the mixer button so that it started working. The situation seemed to be going a little better that time, the apple had practically turned to mush and was still spinning, time passed, and just when Blake thought that history would repeat itself, he was happy for what he heard the next moment.

Blake had a little trouble understanding all the system notifications, and just like last time, he noticed that the apple juice in the blender was gone, so he reopened his inventory and saw that there it was.

After seeing all that information, Blake took it and saw that the juice was already inside a glass, which he thought was really convenient, and he drank it completely while he enjoyed the taste of victory.

He didn't think to look closely at that skill because he assumed it would be the same as the other skills that seemed to be just as simple, but he remembered the cooking skill and he did want to look at that.

"Huh, why did it go up to five levels directly?... The description doesn't seem to be as simple as the other skills, but then why did I fail the first time I tried to juice?" Blake asked himself that question because he had obviously done the same thing as the time he got a failed dish, there was nothing different except that his cooking skill increased, so he took out the last apple he had and was about to put it in the mixer when an interface similar to his inventory appeared next to it.

There wasn't much he mentioned, the interface was small and you'd probably find it empty if it wasn't for the 'Recipes' name on top of it and the words 'Apple Juice' at the start.

"It's true, I also heard that the system said something about recipe learned, is this it?" And since he couldn't think of anything else, he did the same as when he wanted to see the information about an object.

"So that's how it works, my level went up and chance did too, I guess once I hit level eight, I'll be successful 100% of the time, it might sound ridiculous, but I must say it's kind of fun." He had spent the last apple of his, he thought that the best thing would be to go down and plant the seeds that were still on top of him.

Once he reached the huge fields below his house, he turned his head to some weedy patches and sighed inwardly as he readied his sickle to clear everything and set them up for farming while he kept hearing some skills level up while he was on this making him want to finish as fast as he could.
