Re: Rune Factory ~A Fantasy Harvest Moon~

Falling out of the sky from a height that I could have died from, waking up in an unfamiliar and strange place wherever I looked, and not remembering a shred of who I really am. This is how it all started... This is how my new life began in this fantastic world. ____________________________________ "English is not my main language, but I try my best." This fanfic is based on the Rune Factory videogame saga. At the same time, it encompasses its entire universe with some pretty significant changes. The beginning is really quiet, but that is completely necessary to fully develop the story in the future and discover all the mysteries of the world, enjoy the story and discover for yourself what time hid for everyone.

Day 310: Destruction (IV)

It's that moment, maybe Lynn was just saying those words as a way to make Blake not think too much about those types of scenarios. It was as if he started to worry if he knew that the universe would at some point come to an end, maybe it was inevitable, but that didn't mean he should focus all his attention and get depressed over something that is not certain or unlikely to experiment, and fortunately, Blake completely understood that.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to say that I'll just ignore everything and go on with my life as usual now that I know all this... Well, maybe I will a little, but what I want to say is that I appreciate you telling me about the story of Futhark, and it's like Lynn said, that only makes me want to increase my strength even more so I can defend myself and protect what's important to me in case the worst-case scenario comes." The worried expressions that Blake was showing earlier faded away with every word he said.

That made Lynn and Marjorie calm. Blake was very talented, and if he tried hard enough, it was very likely that his strength would increase to quite remarkable levels, so it was not good for him to worry about enemies or situations beyond his control, and if he did, at least they should serve as some kind of push for his determination.

"I'm glad your mind isn't so weak as to spiral into despair after hearing all this." Although Marjorie didn't say anything strange, the way she did it was a little worrying.

"Hehe, I agree with Major Marjorie, there are no better words to define it, there are situations where promising wizards and witches end up stuck without being able to increase their strength because of something that torments them. If you ask many people, most of them will tell you that physical health is the most important, others will tell you that it is the health of your mind, but what should be said is that all of that, along with your spiritual stability, is what brings true health to a person, and is much more important for any wizard, witch, or runic." Perhaps it was a simple lesson, but it served perfectly well for Blake to understand.

It could easily be compared to a student, employee, or fighter since, if any of those aspects are damaged, they will not be able to bring out their full potential when they really need to perform in their respective areas.

Blake didn't feel like he had changed his mentality too much, at least if tomorrow he saw the figure of a colossal golem hidden above the clouds, he would know what it was... But leaving that aside, that determination he had was no lie, he had had the idea of becoming stronger floating around in his head all this time, there were many aspects about it, the promise he made to his masters, his own interest in knowing more about the runic path and magic, the oddities that surrounded him, but especially, he needed to become strong to be able to walk without worry in the world in which he found himself.

Dangers seemed to be everywhere, whether he wanted to search for more orbs containing his memories, travel the world in search of clues to who is, or simply protect themselves and others, the answer kept converging on a single answer.

"Sigh… I have to thank you once again for everything, Lynn." With a small sigh, Blake thought it was a good time to finally thank Lynn for all her help up to this point. "I don't have any more important questions, but I promise I won't will waste all the information you gave me, it was quite educational."

"Hehe, I must say it was a pleasure, if I ever become a teacher, I would like all my students to be as attentive as you." It was not very difficult for Lynn to understand that Blake was allowing her to end this long hour to drink tea, but there was no reason to complain about it. "Thank you for giving me this little opportunity, Major Marjorie. Maybe in the future I can brag about having taught your disciple some things, hehe."

As the time to rest had finally arrived, Lynn did not miss the opportunity to return to the relaxed attitude that she enjoyed the most. She really enjoyed these trips away from her home since she didn't need to worry about keeping up appearances and acting properly all the time, but her favorite place to do that would always be Sharance.

"Yes, yes. Just don't overdo it. I also have to thank you for taking my place today, I was able to enjoy the calm before summer arrives, and Marian was quite calm today... Or so I hope, and it was a good recap of knowledge, so you can take away this." And when she finished with those words, Marjorie took out a scroll from her dimensional sack and then threw it into Lynn's hands.

"This…" Lynn was a little confused but she still caught it perfectly. The scroll looked quite similar to the ones Blake had seen that contained spells to learn on them, but this time, and from Lynn's expression, it seemed to be something more valuable than that once she opened it to see its contents. "A-Are you sure, Major?"

"That was one of the reasons why you came to find me in the first place, your work was quite satisfactory, so you can take it as payment." To Marjorie, everything she was saying and doing didn't have much relevance to her, but the simple image of Lynn's excited expression and trembling hands was all that was needed to know that what she had received was not so simple.

"I deeply appreciate this favor that Major Marjorie has just done for me, I promise I will never forget it as long as she is still alive!" Lynn's grateful voice had sounded quite loud to the point that Marjorie had to tell her to stop exaggerating so much, but even so, a euphoric smile seemed to not want to escape from Lynn's beautiful face.

Blake simply watched the whole situation from a distance, she wouldn't lie and say she wasn't curious about what Lynn had received, but she also knew better than to pry too much into it, so, with nothing else to do, he took another sip of his cup of tea while enjoying the feeling of calm that was gaining the atmosphere, and with just that, a simple thought had just appeared in his mind.

'This is cold…'

------------------------------------

It's been a while since I've talked in a chapter, hasn't it?

And if you're wondering, I'm the author of the story, and it's pretty obvious that I have some things to say.

First of all, I am surprised that you have come this far, it has been more than 300 chapters and 300k words, a little more than a year writing this story, and with this chapter, I wanted to highlight that the second volume of the story ends here, so, what did you think of this little journey?

Another aspect I wanted to mention was to apologize for the inconsistency in the publication of the last chapters, I am going through personal things and my schedule has undergone radical changes that have not allowed me to write as I would like, and I think it will take some time for me to get used to it or get back to the normal pace, I just wanted to end the current volume to say that I'm going to take some time to figure this all out and focus on everything at hand, I hope you understand, but obviously I won't abandon the story, I already have a lot ideas for the next volume.

And I think that was all I wanted to say, as always, I hope you enjoy the story, I really enjoy writing it and developing the world of Rune Factory, and thank you once again for reading it.

If you like the story, add it to the library, share it, and comment. Any idea is welcome.

Also... If you don't give your Power stones to anyone else, I can take care of them for you... *Wink* *Wink*
