Re: Rune Factory ~A Fantasy Harvest Moon~

Falling out of the sky from a height that I could have died from, waking up in an unfamiliar and strange place wherever I looked, and not remembering a shred of who I really am. This is how it all started... This is how my new life began in this fantastic world. ____________________________________ "English is not my main language, but I try my best." This fanfic is based on the Rune Factory videogame saga. At the same time, it encompasses its entire universe with some pretty significant changes. The beginning is really quiet, but that is completely necessary to fully develop the story in the future and discover all the mysteries of the world, enjoy the story and discover for yourself what time hid for everyone.

Day 305: Creation (III)

Although the world created by the runic energy in support of the guardians managed to form and develop at the same time as the story said, it is also said that in addition to Futhark, the forest of beginnings was created similarly, only without real intervention from the guardians as far as is known.

Anyone could realize that the fact of the birth of the beings that were going to inhabit those worlds was missing. That was also one of the important objectives of the runic energy due to the knowledge it possessed, the creation of life, the last step to be satisfied, so the guardian of life was created precisely for that, although not everything would be born from of it.

The guardian of life could be considered the main focus for life to exist in Futhark, but although it could do it alone, its power was not enough for the goal given by the runic energy, so, with the support of its "siblings" through the use of their own energy, that task was carried out with relative ease, and something very important is that the races that were born from that process were blessed with a type of gift.

With Terrable's energy, the univir was born, a race that was born with great control of the earth element, and their gift was that they inherited the same horn that Terrable has on his forehead, which gave them the ability to understand the language of monsters, while the monsters were the direct creation of Futhark.

With the energy of Ventuswill, the elves were born, a race envied for their beauty and that controlled the wind as if it were a limb, with a great talent for any artistic aspect, causing them to be the creators of that area, and at the same time, the gift they received was the ability to listen to the spirits of the world as well as a benevolent attitude towards all races and nature.

With the energy of Firesome the dwarves were born; they were born with a control and affinity with the element of fire that was incomparable to any other race while completely enjoying this same type of environment. The gift they received, unlike Firesome, was that of a great intellect regarding creation from the moment they began to take their first steps, as well as a burning desire within them.

With the energy of Aquaticus, the mer was born, the race that ruled the seas, giving them almost perfect control of said element in addition to the perfect characteristics to live there, while the gift they received was the power to transform themselves to even be able to live on dry land if that was their wish.

And finally, the guardian of life used his energy to create humans, a simple race, with a unique ability to populate the world where they were born, receiving the gift of being able to have an affinity with all the elements of the world, although it was up to each individual to be competent in them.

"That had ended the task of the guardian of life, leaving him as the only objective to protect the cycle of life in Futhark… But as I told you, despite the supposed importance he had in the history of Futhark, this guardian became in part of those that are now unknown to the inhabitants of the world." As was not strange, Lynn had explained to Blake a slightly different version of the birth of the Futhark races while highlighting some data about them.

"Then how is it possible that there were more different races after that? Were any of the other guardians also responsible for their birth?" As Blake had been paying full attention, it was obvious that some questions would plague his mind and he did not hesitate to ask them... But unlike the answer he believed he would receive; Lynn's charming laugh would be the first thing to enter his ears.

"Hehe. I think you got too caught up with the story again, Blake. And although I think I don't need to repeat it, all this is just a story about the creation of the world as we know it, many facts are too difficult to believe or that, due to lack of foundations, even some aspects of the guardians of the world make everything I told you lose its total credibility... But at the same time, that same story has been passed down so much from generation to generation that it has earned its own place as some kind of general knowledge in Futhark." Hearing that, Blake felt a little embarrassed once again, he was taking the story very seriously, which made him have some doubts, but what Lynn said was true, it was a story and it was up to him to what extent point to believe it. "It is not strange that you hear older people telling it to the younger generation, there is also a very similar version that the draconian church is responsible for transmitting, by the way, it is the most popular religion in Futhark in case you are wondering. "They focus on worshiping the guardians of the Futhark while considering the runic energy as a kind of deity at the same time."

Blake could feel how his neck was a little tired since he unconsciously had to nod each time he understood more thoroughly what Lynn was telling him, but it also served to let her know that she could continue without problems with the explanation.

"So, don't take what I told you literally, I thought it would be entertaining for you to listen to all this, although the characteristics of the races and their relationship with the guardians is the closest to reality among all that." Lynn was replaying the scene where she had to raise her index finger to emphasize what she was saying and make it feel important, but at the same time, something was quite clear to Blake.

'So that's where my hope for my race being part of Futhark ends... What's wrong with me? My whole situation is incredibly strange.' It was true that Blake always tried hard to think that she should accept everything that was happening, but now that they had the time to think about it, it was as if his entire being was something that did not belong to the world he now lived in, and although it was not something that had been too problematic, some aspects aside, he could only feel one way at this moment… A total and profound confusion…

If you like the story, add it to the library, share it, and comment. Any idea is welcome.
