Re: Rune Factory ~A Fantasy Harvest Moon~

Falling out of the sky from a height that I could have died from, waking up in an unfamiliar and strange place wherever I looked, and not remembering a shred of who I really am. This is how it all started... This is how my new life began in this fantastic world. ____________________________________ "English is not my main language, but I try my best." This fanfic is based on the Rune Factory videogame saga. At the same time, it encompasses its entire universe with some pretty significant changes. The beginning is really quiet, but that is completely necessary to fully develop the story in the future and discover all the mysteries of the world, enjoy the story and discover for yourself what time hid for everyone.

Day 212: Monstrous problems (II)

The previous question made quite a bit of sense since it was kind of weird that Blake hadn't caught the eye yet, but that was because he hadn't actually moved from his position for a pretty important reason… But he didn't really know either.

His figure was incredibly still, though you could tell he was trembling a bit as if he was resisting something or just enduring some kind of pain. His hand was tightly clenched on the spoon he had chosen earlier as a bit of cold sweat broke out on his forehead, but the strangest thing was that he was feeling somewhat disoriented and that hadn't stopped since the moment Nana had arrived with the woolies to the center of the town square.

Maybe that feeling he was experiencing was already enough to worry him and the idea of withdrawing from the event popped into his head, but even if he wanted to, right now he was using all his willpower to fight the idea that was suddenly appearing in his head and seemed to be trying to control him.

That was what worried Blake the most since that idea continually told him that he should protect the huge wooly from being attacked by all the participants. He didn't understand that as he felt that something else was prompting him to do so and he couldn't calm down at all.

'Why is this happening? Did I get sick or something? The system would have already notified me if that were the case, it's like something is trying to put that idea into my head at all costs, if I don't do something, basically it would be the same as the little woolies in the area…' Blake was seriously analyzing his situation, but just as he was busy with those thoughts, it made him perhaps find a reason with enough sense to scare him a bit.

Since Nana was an instructor, she was in charge of commanding all the woolies, Blake could see that she used some signs and words that she directly transmitted to the monsters, and its effect was quite remarkable, but there was a rather peculiar situation… And that was that Blake… Was also part wooly.

That simple idea had made a lot of sense to Blake's thinking, it would explain this stranger feeling appearing in his mind against his will and why he felt that way. It was true that he had already figured out what was going on, but that hadn't made him get out of the state he was in, it seemed like he would have to bear it as best he could, but as his only savior as times like these... His good friend arrived with good news.

[Taming resists skill, increased.]

It wasn't even more than a second after Blake heard those words in his head that it began to affect him and that feeling of disorientation steadily faded until he was practically disappearing without a trace.

Blake had to shake his head repeatedly to return to reality once more, he no longer felt that idea drilling into his head and forcing him to do something that would only put him in a rather strange situation, his senses were working again and now he was being aware of his surroundings, but before he did anything else, he couldn't help but think about what had just happened.

'Then… Does that mean that the instructors are my natural enemy…? Looks like I'll have to keep that in mind a lot. On the plus side, the system didn't leave me to my own devices this time, although that new skill was too specific and leveled up quite a bit from the beginning... There are probably a lot of skills that I haven't discovered yet or maybe the system isn't quite updated enough to add them to the list.' Blake was thinking about what had just happened even though it might not be the best time for it, he wasn't going to complain after getting out of that situation.

Now it seemed that everything was back to normal for him, and his attention was quickly caught by the surrounding environment being quite characteristic... First of all, Blake noticed the huge crowd around the square taking the role of spectators, it was quite obvious the emotion of enjoyment of all of them, which indicated that the event was being a complete success.

The voices of Collette and Rusk stood out among all that noise as they continued with their commentary roles, enlivening the atmosphere even more and all the woolies were still in the middle of the area fulfilling the roles that Nana had given them.

The huge wooly now looked somewhat different from the start of the event, you could still see quite a considerable amount of wool around it, but it was quite evident that much of it had already been sheared off, especially since several patches of its dark fur were fully visible.

Maybe that was already enough for Blake to understand the situation, but a single thought appeared in his mind when he realized something important...

'Did a massacre occur?' Perhaps the question was somewhat strange, but that was the same thing that many people who had just arrived at the event area were wondering, and the reason for that was because of the view of the arena.

A huge pile of bodies, that was precisely what was in the middle of the town square, from men to women, and all of them were the participants who had the task of cutting the wool of the huge wooly, anyone would wonder what had happened to that it would end that way, but once they saw the little woolies play on top of all those people like it was a little hill, it was pretty clear to everyone.

That itself made Blake not know what to think, but that little doubt only lasted a second before his expression turned completely serious because, among all that group of people, he recognized someone...

The tall figure of Carlos was close to him, the fish that he had used during the whole event was still in his hands, but it seemed that now he was using it to support himself using the ground as support to support his body.

More defeated people were around him, but the strange thing was that the other woolies were not paying him any attention, some might even notice that a slight ray of light was shining on him as if it wanted to make him stand out, and for that reason, Blake could realize something... He... He was already dead...
