This is how it all started... This is how my new life began in this fantastic world. ____________________________________ "English is not my main language, but I try my best." Day 169: Earthmate (III)

Blake's head unconsciously turned back only to meet Ragna's figure as the other leek left with him had turned into a huge sword that gave off even greater vitality than before. It was retracted behind his head to deliver a simple cut to Blake's neck to end everything once and for all.

Now it was obvious that all of the above was a trick to make Blake lower his guard by giving Ragna this opportunity to attack, it seemed that this would really be the end of everything, even Sakuya was about to announce the winner, but before the sight of everyone, what happened completely defied common logic.

Ragna had used his sword to launch an attack at Blake and the pink light seemed to flood the entire field at that moment showing all the energy he was using, but to his surprise, Blake had turned his body at the last moment to meet his attack from the front while raising his own sword. Ragna was not worried about this, he knew that the force with which he attacked this time would be enough to overcome Blake's defense, in addition to the fact that he had deposited a large amount of runic and life energy into his sword.

It didn't take long for the impact to appear between them, it seemed that Blake's sword would be cut by the full force of Ragna's attack, it was practically impossible to defend against that, but contrary to what everyone thought, exactly that situation happened that made Sakuya had horrible deja vu.

Just as both swords made contact, the momentum that Ragna had disappeared as if it had never existed, this itself completely surprised him since he did not understand the reason for that, but before he could delve into that mystery, Blake's action was even more difficult for him to explain.

He could see how Blake had crouched slightly before jumping with all his might causing his body to be thrown into the air. Obviously, it was Blake's sword jumping ability, he knew it was the perfect occasion to use it after remembering the same situation with Sakuya.

The ability had been enough to completely negate the force behind Ragna's attack and then take that leap that shot them into the air. Ragna's body was now at Blake's mercy, Ragna had lost his leek in that exchange of movements and his body could not maneuver in the state it was in.

Blake did not hesitate, he quickly raised his sword as a green aura began to cover his body for a second, his sword was emitting a dark light with purple tones that anyone could see from a distance, the power behind that attack seemed even being stronger than Ragna's and the feeling that an imminent move was about to occur was obvious to everyone.

That was due to another aspect of elemental weapons, by combining a runic ability of the same element as the weapon, the power unleashed was easy to describe. If the runic ability alone was the ground you walk on, then in combination with an elemental weapon, it was the sky above you.

In a single moment, Blake's sword exploded as he inserted his runic energy into it, the short sword from a few moments ago had turned into some sort of entity shrouded in deep darkness as it seemed to laugh shamelessly at Ragna's fate.

Blake was also surprised by this, he was about to release a power wave combining it with the darkness element, he believed that it would be stronger thanks to his weapon being of the same attribute, but the result was beyond Blake's imagination.

Unfortunately, there was no way to stop, he had already used the runic ability to attack Ragna while he was still in the air, a wave of darkness had come from his sword and had swallowed Ragna's entire figure, his body couldn't be seen in all that situation, a sincere concern had seized Blake in that second, but before he reached the ground, some words which he couldn't understand, entered his ears at the same time that everything around him changed abruptly.

That cluster of shadows had exploded dispersing completely, Blake had fallen to the ground at the same time that he realized that his sword, unlike before that seemed to be possessed by an evil spirit, was now completely silent. A weakness that was difficult to explain had flooded his body as if all the previous battles had hit him at that moment.

Unconsciously, his knees touched the ground unable to bear that sensation, with a quick thought the familiar bars had appeared, but contrary to what he believed, both his life and runic energy were not suffering from any side effects, he really did not understand what was happening, but the second he saw that sword-shaped leek lightly touching his neck and heard that voice, reality hit him at that moment.

"Looks like this is my victory, brother Blake."

"The world without runes!" Shino's voice was enough to make anyone jump due to surprise, now she understood the reason why her master was acting so mysterious all this time and she had no words to describe what she felt at that moment.

"Now do you think I'm overreacting?" Mei had a small smile on her face, besides being amused by Shino's expression, she was also happy for Ragna's victory, although she was also very curious about Blake, someone capable of forcing Ragna to that point was quite remarkable, but the more interesting to her was that Blake was still two levels below Ragna! "So... I guess we should go congratulate them a bit."

Shino didn't say anything else as she followed her master, now the questions couldn't leave her head, but just like Mei, she knew that everything would come at her time.
