CHAPTER TWENTY THREE:HOLDING ONTO HOPE. - GRANNY KANG.

YURI'S POV

Well Nana's confession had not gone as planned, seeing how she was rejected and left at the shores angry and sad, I wasn't meant to witness that scene but Ye Jun told me to go and listen in just to see how it goes, he even dragged me by the hand at that, after Nana came back I had to pretend that I knew absolutely nothing about what happened," How did it go?" I asked as she passed right by me and went to the tent, which I figured could be to cry,I wanted to go and comfort her but Yes Jun said it's better if we leave her to her self for a while but then it was hard to enjoy the bon fire knowing my best friend was locked up In a tent crying her heart out.

We had to leave for him early in the morning, still then Nana had not said anything to me, forget saying anything she just wasn't talking to me at all," Are you sure it's better to leave her on own." I asked," This isn't the first time she has confessed to a boy and got rejected so she just needs time to sort everything out and then we shall take her to ice cream or the amusement park later to cheer her up." Ye Jun said as he went back to scrolling on his phone, I leaned in and out earpods in my ears and listened to music for the rest of the journey home.

MINA'S POV

" Granny, are you fine now?" I asked as she made some festival flyers," iam okay, that sleep did was such a great help to me." she added as I continue with my work," I have some great news." I said as she turned all her attention to me," I will join the baking competition at the festival." I said as she cheerfully smiled at me," I realised it would be good to advertise our bakery and cafe too." I added as she smiled proudly," That's awesome, what changed your mind?" she asked as I sat besides her," Well some one asked me to try other wise I wouldn't know if iam good or not." I said quoting Aaman's words," Alright then...I'll go and meet up with the other team to see if there is anything to add on the festival program list." Granny said as she picked up her bag and left.

HYUNA'S POV

" The place has been furnished, the teachers have been contacted and the liscence has been made so all that's left is opening up the study cafe." I said cheerfully to Min Young who smiled and passed his hand through my hair," Iam just so happy every thing is going according to plan." I said as stood up from his lap sat cross legged besides him," How about we tell everyone that we dating." I suggested," No like your granny, my granny my sister's your friends and my friends all that need to know." I added as he smiled," My granny already knows,as for friends I don't really have any close ones in Aayan." he said as I hit his shoulder," So why didnt you tell me? I wasn't waiting to ask for your permission just incase you weren't ready to make things that official," Things became official between me and you the day you said how you felt." he replied as I smiled cheerfully," Okay then I'll tell my family during dinner, they are probation going to freak out and mock me." I said as he pulled me in for a hug," How about I have dinner with your family?" he whispered," I'll set up a day, just let me prepare them for the shock first." I said as he kissed my fire head and held me even tighter.

GRANNY KANG'S POV

" Well, the music has been set, the fire works, the different games, the performances, I was planning to bring us a band to perform but that's still on pending,then I..." I said as I started to feel uneasy," Then I..., can you excuse me?" I asked as I rushed to the bathroom where I washed my face and stared at the mirror getting lost in thoughts, I had not forgotten the incident that happened last night and I was still in fear for the possibility of my cancer relapsing, how can it relapse when I've been doing all the monthly check ups and I have been following the medical help given to me,after thinking I pulled out my phone to call my attending doctor Jason," Hello..how's my favourite patient doing?" he asked as I gave a faint smile," I wish I could cheerfully reply that iam good, but something happened that I need to consult you about." I said as I held onto the door knob," What is it?" he asked I could hear the worry in his voice," Iam..I think Iam relapsing." I said with tears rolling down my cheeks," I've been feeling quite uneasy lately, with the headaches and getting dizzy at time and last night I had blood come out of my nose." I explained," Could I be wrong, could it just me a fever?" I asked as he kept silent for a while," Well we can't be so sure granny Kang, unless we run some tests again." he said as I sighed," Can you come over and take some test...then we can decide what to do after wards." he suggested as I wiped the tears from my face," Well I'll get back to you later, some one's looking for me." I said as he hang up, I leaned back to the wall and couldn't help cry..." Granny Kang? are you alright?" said one of my planning teams members," It's been a long time since you entered there." she added," Iam okay, I just had a bit of a stomach ache." I said with a shaky voice as I washed my face and went out.

YURI'S POV

" You and Nana can take this taxi home, I'll wait for another one." I said as Nana turned and looked at me," Why would you let's take this one to save money." she said as I stood there shocked to hear her say something," Are you okay?" I asked as she sighed," Not really but that doesn't give me a reason to go into a depression." she said as I rushed to her," Iam really sorry you were...." I said as she put her hand over my mouth," Don't say it." she said as we all laughed and got into the cab," Iam really tired." Nana said as she put her head on my shoulder," Me too." I replied as I slid the car window to get some fresh air.

Reaching home, I found Nana preparing dinner, she seemed to be cooking alot though considering we are four people," Uhhmmm are we having guests." I asked as I reached out for a carrot but was slapped on the fingers," No just us." she said as she continued making her self busy," How was the trip?" she asked," Good..we had alot of fun." I said," Show me some pics." she said as I pulled out my phone and went to show her," Is this it?" she said as she scrolled through the only three photos I had for the trip," The rest were taken by Nana she said she would send them but I think she forgot." I said as I pulled my phone from her and grabbed my bag," I'll go and take a shower." I said as I went to my room.

MINA'S POV

" We are closing early today, apparently Hyuna has something big to announce." I said to Aaman," It's fine with me, I need to go practice with the guys any way." he said," Practice!" I asked," Band practice...we are a small band at the college, its been a while since I practiced with them so I'll do it while they are in Aayan." he explained," You can come and listen in sometime." he said," Really?" I asked cheerfully," Really." he replied as he smiled and continued with his work," Really." I said to my self as I giggled.

HYUNA'S POV

After dinner was ready, I had made rice, beef stew, Vegetables and many other things it was almost like I was going to announce my marriage," Yuri, bring the chop sticks." I said as I set up the table," Okay whatever you planning to announce must be good news." she said as she pointed at the food, it's true it think I had exaerggerated things a little," Iam home." said Mina as she walked in and the scene at the dinning table made her drop her jaw," Woah...are we having a guest?" she asked as Yuri burst into laughter," No it's just us." I said as she shook her head," Just us!" she mocked as she went to her room to get ready," Stop laughing." I said to Yuri who tried to hide her laughter.

While at the table, everyone had their eyes on me waiting for what I was going to say," Hows the food?" I asked as they all glared at me," Fine, Uhhmmm my tutoring cafe is opening Soon." I said as Yuri picked up a spoon threatening to beat me up with it," Get to the main point, the reason why we sitted here for this buffet, granny need s to sleep early." Mina said as I cleared my throat, took a sip on my water," Well the issues is, i have a boyfriend." I said as I waited for their reaction but was shocked that they all just turned back to eating their food," Is that it?" I exclaimed," Min Young right?" Mina asked," Yes, how did you know?" I asked as Yuri burst into laughter," It's obvious." she said as I turned to granny who had tears rolling down her cheeks instead," Granny!what's wrong?" I asked as she quickly wiped her tears and forced a smile," Iam fine, iam just happy for you." she said as we all came to her," Are you really okay.?" I asked as she touched my head," Iam more than fine, so you all can get back to dinner I'll go and have some rest." she said as she stood up to leave," Granny?" I called out," Dinner was delicious." she said as she turned to leave,I became worried, granny was acting wired..." Is she really okay?" Yuri asked," I'll go and check up on her." I replied as I followed her to her room.
