CHAPTER THIRTY NINE: WE ALL ARE TAKING DIFFERENT PATHS...

" Are you really not moving to the city with us?" Mina asked as we cleared the table," Why would I move to the city, Aayan is where home is now plus I have the tutoring cafe and the bakery." I explained as I started doing the dishes," Will you be able to managed the bakery..on your own?" she asked," I'll hire someone..to help me with the bakery while iam at the cafe..I'll manage." I said as she sighed," What about Min young..are you okay with the long distance?" she asked again," Well no but yes I can manage plus I've already told Min young..." I said as I looked back at her," Why are you asking me all these questions?" I asked," Iam worried...it's not that I haven't been in the city before..but iam nervous with this whole new experience iam getting into." she said as I dried my hands and came towards her," You will do alright..I believe in you." I said as she smiled ana hugged me," Iam gonna miss you." she said as she hugged me tightly," Iam gonna miss you more.." I said as Yuri yelled," Yaahhhh! Why are you guys hugging without me." she said as she rushed by and joined in," Iam also going some where new but no one seems to care." she complained as we pulled her in," Of course we do...iam gonna miss both of you." I said as we squeezed in a little tighter.." Should we do something?" Mina asked as we all stared at her curiously," Should we do something together before Yuri and I leave?" she asked as we all bought the idea," Like what?" Yuri asked," Picnic with every one...Min young is coming back this Saturday right? ..Aaman is coming back, Nana and Ye Jun haven't left for College too..let's do it this weekend...consider it our final gathering..not final just final for now." she explained as we all bought her idea," I love that.." Yuri said as we all cheered," So that's it then...a picnic on Saturday." I added.

YURI'S POV

" How fast time flies,a few months ago we were moving here with no idea how we were going to pick our selves and our lives up and today...we are so grown up to the point where we each taking different directions of life..." I said as I sucked on my popsicle," I can't believe you leaving for the university sooner? Can't it wait for the picnic on Saturday?" I asked Ye Jun," I wish I could wait till then, it would be a formal good bye to every one but I can't, I need to enroll in Friday, iam going earlier because it gives me time to get to know the city properly." he said as I felt really sad," But we shall keep in contact, you can give me a call in case you want some one to talk with over beer and hot pot." he added," This doesn't feel right..." I said as he out his arm over my shoulder," Oh maybe you can accept to be..." he said as I called him out before he finished," We talked about this.." I said," Can't you take a joke..." he said as he laughed hard," I'll treat you to more popsicles..let's meet here every day this week untill you leave." I suggested as he smiled," Okay...iam down." he added as we both laughed.

HYUNA'S POV

" I can come pick you up at the bus station." I suggested as I talked with min Young over video call," You don't have too..get your work done and I'll come meet you once I've arrived." he said," If you say Soo..I'll let you have some rest then.. Good night." I added as I hung up.

Later on I couldn't get any sleep so I went to have some water, where I found Mina sitted quietly at the dining table, she seemed to be scribbling something down on paper," What are you doing?" I said as she yelped," You scared me." she said with a hand over her chest," What are you doing?" I asked as I tried to peep at what she was writing," It's nothing...why are you up at this late hour?" she asked as she hid the papers," What's that?" I asked again as I tried to destruct her and grab them from her," It's nothing..I'll get to bed..Good night." she said as she walked away," Now this curiousity won't let me sleep at all." I said as I angrily passed my fingers through my hair and sipped on my glass of water.

Over breakfast I could help think of what exactly Mina must have been writing yesterday, something about it seemed really suspicious," Why are you staring at me like that?" Mina asked at I took a huge bite on my bread," Nothing..." I said as I sipped on my coffee and went back to my laptop," Isn't Yuri having break fast with us?" I asked curiously because I wasn't seeing her around," She went to help Nana pack up." Mina replied," Right..she's leaving with Min young next week." I said.

YURI'S POV

" What's that?" I asked as I found a box in Nana's closet," Hey you cant go through that." she said as she pulled it from me," Okay now iam really curious." I said as she sat on her bed," It's nothing..just my childhood..photos and stuff." she said as I sat besides her," Even more reason for me to go through it..." I said as I grabbed it from her and took a look,Inside contained her photos as a baby and some with her Mom," You were really chubby as a kid." I said as she took the photo from me," Right..I had really big cheeks..I was actually chubby up untill Middle school." she said," See this one...every one at school used to call me " Fatso"i even got bullied for it at some point..." she said as I noticed a sudden change in her voice," But Ye Jun helped me go through middle school." she said with a smile on her face," He fought for me and even encouraged me not to care what others say by buying me lots of snacks...he wasn't ashamed to walk with me nor eat with me..he was my ride or die at the time and still is." she said as I smiled at her story," If we had met earlier as well then I would have probably broke those bullies teeth.." I said as she cranked up," There wasn't a wrong timing in our meeting..iam glad you came to Aayan and iam glad you became my friend." she said as I suddenly got teary eyes," And we shall keep being friends." I said as she laughed," Of course." she said as I remembered something and reached out to my bag," Right here.." I said as I showed her two charm bracelets," I bought these for me and you, I was going to but one for Ye Jun but he said they are girly." I said," It has my name initials." Nana exclaimed as she tried it on," It's really beautiful Yuri." she said as she gave me a hug," Let's take a picture...I need every one to be jealous for not having a cool friend like mine." she said happily as we posed to take a picture displaying our bracelets," Very pretty." she said as we continued to take more.

" Were you at Nana's today?" Ye Jun asked as we walked to the convenience store," Yes..I was helping her pack up." I said as we continued walking," Can we try some thing else today." he said as I turned and looked at him curiously," Like what..?" I asked," Come with me." he said as he grabbed my hand," Where are we going?" I asked as I continued to follow behind him.

"Whats this place?" I asked as I looked around happily,it was an overview of the town with all the lights shining brightly," It's a place I always come too..when I feel like relaxing." he said," Isn't it pretty." he asked as I agreed," How come I didn't know of this place..?" I asked," I just never showed you?" he said as I softly slapped his shoulder," You should have showed it to me sooner..." I said as he smiled," I finally have..." he said as we both turned and looked at the bright lights together...I looked back at him as he was smiling and couldn't help feel sad that he was leaving.." Ye Jun." I called out as he turned," Can I hug you?" I asked as he smiled," Do you have to ask?" he said as he pulled me in for a hug," Thank you for everything." I whispered as he held me even tighter," That should be my line." he said as I smiled with tears rolling down my cheeks.

It didn't take a long time before Ye Jun was set to leave for the city," Can you both smile more...so that I won't feel sad when I think of you." Ye Jun said as me and Nana wiped our tears," And it's not like we won't meet again..we shall meet whenever you want." he said as we both agreed," Remember to take care of your self, and to call us." Nana said as he looked back at me," Remember to take care of your selves too." he said as I nodded," That's it then...I'll get going then.." he said as he turned to enter the bus," Bye Ye Jun.." Nana screamed as moved to his window..." Bye.." I whispered as the bus set off...and their we were were crying in each other's arms...." This isn't right...we shall see him again so we shouldn't cry so much." Nana said as she wiped her tears and mine," Yes..we shall see him again." I said.

YE JUN'S POV

Looking at both of them shedding tears for my departure kind of made me happy, atleast I had people who cared for me enough to cry for me while iam leaving them...I looked out the window for as long as I could see them..and when I couldn't any more I pulled out a picture and stared at it..as I listened to some music..we weren't separating forever we were all just taking different paths for now....
