A Sole defender

"Senpai please tell me you are lying" Liz stands dumbfounded with grief at the sight she never imagined will witness even in her worst nightmare. Garth stands silently alongside Liz while barely controlling himself to sheathe out his sword.

"Liz, you have to believe me, Gin was already dead before I enter this room and the person who killed him is none other than Selene"

Zyun desperately tries to explain the truth to Liz while starting with Selene, but the latter is already on the ground faking unconsciousness.

"This bitch" Zyun internally screamed while glaring at the fake dead body of Selene.

"I don't know where to start or what to believe anymore" Liz starts sobbing with tears rolling down her cheek while controlling herself not to completely break down.

"What is left to not to believe Liz, isn't what we see is enough the person who is responsible for Gin's death is none other than Zyun senpai himself" Garth breaks his silence.

That sentence itself damage Zyun internally by a mile, he took a step back from the shock while looking at them again with sadness in his eyes. "What did you say, Garth... Out of all the people in the guild, I trust you both alongside Fanny, Kazu, and Fyo more than anyone, and ever since I joined this guild, I spent most of the time sharing about anything with you guys...why couldn't you believe me on this?"

"Yeah, we believe you... Up until now you disclosed your real identity as an elf, do you know why elves are not allowed to join any guilds, is because all they do is deceive, rob, and ditch their comrades, fed up with their vulgarism the mages band together to kick them out and never ever allowing them to socialize with the humans."

Garth stutters over his words with emotions before he begins his new sentence "And because of them my brother has to.... you see Zyun senpai-

Elves are nothing more than scumbags with no proper social background, they're wild, cunning, and heartless, they don't care about anyone if it means saving themselves first it is almost deserving as they spent their uncultured lives in the forest. Garth quickly unsheathes his new sword "ERADICATOR" and grips it tightly next to his right shoulder. "[Art of Enchantment: Etna's Furnace Cascade]". The base of the sword slowly riles up in ember red and it slowly ascends upward to the tip of the blade, bubbles can be seen trapped inside the sword giving an appearance of the molten lava itself filled in that sword.

"Now, prepare yourself", Garth rushes toward Zyun with his enchanted sword next to his hip but he was quickly intercepted by an unforeseen attack.

It was none other than the sword that was binding Mavis at the corner of the room, the sword quickly responded after sensing his master was in danger and aimed to take out the enemy.

Garth managed to dodge it in the nick of time by tilting his head sideways.

"Azox, No!" Zyun shouts as Azox propels toward Garth without complying with his order.

"So, you were ready to launch a preemptive attack from the starting, tch a typical behavior of those vermin."

Garth wastes no effort to continue his attack, he quickly leaps in the air with his heavy armor, and the sword ignites in the air as Garth is ready to land his attack on Zyun.

Zyun who was in a state of disarray quickly tries to defend himself with his claymore. The hall echoed with loud noise as Garth's ember sword clashed with Zyun's divine claymore, Zyun was getting overpowered easily by Garth, he has to muster his physical strength on both of his hands to defend against the attack.

is this power from his sheer strength alone? But more importantly...I'm burning, the heat emitting out from the sword is insane!

"We trusted you. I was looking forward to talking alongside Liz with you later like always and why does it have to turn out like this!"

Garth lands a mighty kick on Zyun's chest with his metal foot sending his opponent flying at the wall.

"Grgh..*cough*...ha.ha..Zyun breathes in heavily for a while and using the support of his sword he gets up slowly. "

"Now show me.... the power you used to take out Gin.

As he walks slowly towards Zyun, a light field suddenly activates enclosing him from all directions. What is this?? Garth demanded, as he look around, he saw Aggraval lying beside him.

"Is it this sword doing?

"Garth, please listen to me... I don't want to fight you."

"What is left there to hear," using his ember sword he slashes repeatedly from inside the shield to break himself break. "If it is not you, then who killed him."

"It is Selene...I'm telling the truth-"

"Liar. Who are you telling to fool here.... we have seen it all thanks to that!"

Garth points behind him at the top corner of the room beside the pillar a Darkeye slowly comes to light as it comes out from camouflage. a Darkeye!..here? Selene but have commanded it to activate it from that moment... Damn it! If only I could sense magic from the beginning... this won't have happened!

But Zyun wasn't going to take all that.

At that moment Zyun also unsummoned all his swords beside Aggraval and the claymore he is holding, since he is still incapable of controlling them 100% manually, he fears that Axoz would strike them again from the shadow.

Garth flung his sword on Aggraval that's trapping him inside the barrier in an expectation to send it off flying but it didn't. What the heck is this sword...it didn't even flinch.

"Fine if you are asking for it then I will burn this stupid barrier down alongside your stupid sword."

"Garth don't do it... That spell will also damage you!

" What do you mean by damage. Garth stop-

"Burn everything down, "[Concoction Blast]."

The ember sword that Garth is holding starts to vibrate intensely on the ground while generating a huge amount of heat from it.

The tip of the blade generates a swirl of fire slowly expanding and soon consuming the space surrounding the barrier, due to the rampage of flames going inside it, the divine barrier of Aggraval started to crack and in a very short time the barrier falls out leaving unscratched Aggraval lying on the ground.

As soon as the barrier falls a huge coil of fire suddenly lunges toward Zyun, in a desperate attempt to guard he used his claymore to guard it but an impetiginous attack launches alongside him in the air, and as Zyun falls from the air, the firing coil vanishes leaving injured Garth with half of his armor destroyed.

Pulling his blazing sword up in the air and shouts "[Meteor Strike]". In that instant Zyun quickly drew his left hand and calls Aggraval on his side. A huge fiery explosion occurs inside the guild hall destroying almost everything in the room.

Liz braces herself from the shock waves and as the smoke fades away her eyes widen from the scene in front of her. Zyun remains on the ground with one knee bending on the ground suffering from a few scratches.

Liz quickly summons her bow and pulls a magic arrow into it aiming toward Zyun.
