CHAPTER 14: POISONED APPLE

I could find the reason why

You could see the sky is high

Have you seen the eagle fly?

Have you heard the children cry?

Leaving people high and dry

In the sweet by and by

This life is a do or die

For every girl and every guy

Focus till the missile's hit

Break it down to the bit by bit

Vicious vipers in this pit

You just do as you see fit

Make it sound like a different beat

Like the bend of a snake-like creek

Those who take over the world are meek

To find the truth you got to seek

You're my life, you're by my side

I could find the reasons why

Tell you 'bout the way you made me reason

Compromised your faith so far

Now you'll be the one who's left behind

You're my life, you're by my side

What could be the reason, dear

How you stand always in fear

These clouds just don't seem to clear

I see your face stream with tears

You don't seem to get these rhymes

Jah stays strong in the darkest times

Not for shillings, not for dimes

You just wanna cross these lines

These things you do are so fake

Actions end in the Burning Lake

In your heart you feel so dry

You're the one who lived a lie

There is nothing you can hide

He walks with you by your side

To Him alone you can confide

Or in your sorrow you're confined

You're my life, you're by my side

Transitpoint, "Reasons"

It was New Year's Day, 2013. Lucifer stood on top of the Prudential Tower in Boston. He was meeting with Cupid,General Fear, General Temptation, General Deception, and Spirit Division. He said, "Time has com what the Emperor put together we put asunder. We cannot allow this couple to be together. If they learn their purpose, Lana and Jay can cause huge destruction in our kingdom. It's got to be stopped, so I release the powers of darkness over you as my blessing. Work hard, be consistent, but bring them down."

The Demons saluted Lucifer as Cupid led the way towards Lanas home.

Lana's mother was still doubtful about Jay's credibility as a possible groom. She began to question Lana again as the evil spirits began to prompt her. "How much does he earn? How long have you known him that you can make a decision for marriage? How do you know if he is going to stay with you?" she asked Lana.

Lana replied, "Mum, I told you all this. Why are you asking me this again?"

"I just want to know because he isn't here. If he loved you, he would have given up everything and would have made it here."

Lana's eyes teared up. "Look, he has a band. He is going to finish what he committed to them before he met me, and then he is closing everything down and coming here. I believe that is true love. And also, we feel the confirmation from the Lord."

"Not really, Lana," her mother said. "I don't know about all this business about confirmations from the Lord. Just because some people told you that you two are supposed to be married doesn't mean that I believe it. I'm a practical woman. I really think you are making a mistake."

Every day, under the guidance of Cupid.General Fear, General Deception, and Spirit Division began to torment Lana's mother with thoughts of fear and doubt, and in turn, she would torment Lana. Lana became downcast and used this as an excuse not to attend church as much. Jay tried to encourage her to go, but she had met some new friends at a block party, and they began to take her to more parties instead.

One day, Jay called her and said, "Lana, you know the Trinity does not want you to attend those parties."

"No, I'm gonna go!" she snapped.

Jay was shocked.

He tried to speak to her every day, but Lana would never pray anymore, even during their phone calls. Jay would just pray before ending the call.

One day, Lana told him out of nowhere that she was not going to church anymore because the youth pastor didn't like her.

"Just try another church," Jay said.

She didn't feel the need. "I'll pray at home."

Jay started seeing pictures Lana posted on social media of herself with her new friends. He discovered that Lana had become friends with these girls she had met at these parties, and he could see from their Facebook pages that they wanted absolutely nothing to do with the Emperor. All the activity on Facebook among Lana and these friends was talking about things that were shallow and vain.

During that time, Lana decided to go to Chicago as she wanted to find work. Lana moved there and started work as a corporate event manager. She was busy now, so she was not talking with Jay regularly anymore.

In the weeks that followed, Jay noticed something unusual. Lana was not the same. She was not calling as often.

On Valentine's Day, Jay called Lana on Skype, and he was almost surprised that she picked up the call.

Lana appeared on screen. She was beautiful as ever, but she was without expression.

"Hey, babe!" Jay said. "I love you! Where were you? I missed you!"

"Hi, babe," she said, almost in an uninterested tone.

Jay asked her how the new year and the life in Chicago were and about her parents, but Lana only spoke when Jay asked her questions, and she answered with short responses, with almost no emotion. She never asked him anything back. He had never seen her in that state. This was another sign to Jay that something was wrong.

Jay wondered what happened as he ended the call. "Maybe she is just in a bad mood. There's nothing wrong. I'll call her tomorrow," he told himself.

Jay tried calling her the next day but couldn't get through. Suddenly, with every call that came to his phone, he was anticipating Lana calling. Lana did not call him for a few days, and he was getting worried.

Fireball's body had numerous open wounds from battles with demon forces that were against Jay and Lana .Many a time unknown to Jay he would sit outside his room with his back leaning on the wall removing arrows lodged in his body which was shot at Jay which he blocked. He felt the agony of the stabs from the demons his wounds were bleeding at times but Fireball sensed a great attack coming for Jay his eyes teared up out of concern for Jay .

Cupid smiled from the shadows as he watched Jay and Fireball.

BAD NEWS

Lonely, lonely, lonely days are back

But the time is right

I'm part of the fight

Don't take this light

Jah rules with might

Lead me through the darkest night

'Coz I know, I got this flow

Traveled through this road before

Do I hear the lion's roar?

Now I see an open door

As you sleep in your lie

I could hear him prophesy

Can't take this betrayal kiss

Went to the cross for your sins

You must die and I must live

Stop the take and start the give

Everything has a time

Walk with me, I'll still the tide

All I could do

Is just hold on and wait

To see you through, that's all I want to do for you

These clouds will move, clear skies will reappear

That's when I know you're going through, yeah

All these things you craved

But they betrayed

These sheep have strayed, heroes are made

It's mine for the take, breaking down barricades

He's no game, heals the lame

There is power in his name

Bleeding hands, rain of tears

Wipe away all your fears

Watch these guys break soul ties

Brawls and wars and sticks and fights

See the light the flipside

100 miles you gotta ride

He just waits for the Bride, Jah is always on ma side

I just try, I just die, now I like an angel fly

Transitpoint, "Wait"

Lucifer stood on top of Lana's parents' house with an evil grin as he clasped his hands together in satisfaction. He summoned Spirit Cupid. The cold winds blew as the clouds darkened. The weathervane moved with the wind. General Fear, General Temptation, General Deception, and Spirit Division were having a discussion among themselves. Through the roof, they saw Lana's parents speaking against Jay while Lana was asleep in the other room. Lana had come from Chicago to visit, but she did not look the same. She had lost a lot of weight and she didn't seem nice anymore.

Suddenly, Cupid appeared.

"Greetings, Cupid. ." General Fear and his comrades saluted Cupid.

Cupid saluted Lucifer and reciprocated to the others.

Lucifer spoke. "Great work, General Temptation, General Deception, and Spirit Division. You all have done a phenomenal job. General Fear, I need you to continue your work."

He turned to Cupid. "And of course, the most important one, Cupid! You get your revenge on Jay, his Emperor, and his angel, Raid. Don't forget what happened in Logwood High and how you lost a soul to the Emperor. This is your time, Cupid. Your getting your revenge finally"

Then Lucifer said to them all, " Finish the business with Jay and Lana our victory is very near.May thick darkness be with you." As he disappeared into one of the winds that blew, an eerie cold descended on the house.

Inside the house, Lana hugged her blanket. She wasn't wearing Jay's tee shirt anymore.

* * *

Jay was asleep at home. General Fear, along with a few other demons, stood outside on a large branch of a tree as he stared at Jay through the walls of the house.

Fireball was alert he knew a huge fight was coming but his strength weakened by the hours .

Jay woke up the next day and went to work. On his way back, he got a notification on his phone that he had received an e-mail. When he got home, he opened his e-mail account and saw it was from Lana. "Hmm, strange. Why would she send me an e-mail?" he wondered as he opened it.

It was a long e-mail. As Jay read the letter from top to bottom, a shiver went down his spine. The entire letter was negative from the start. He felt a choking presence in the room as he read and digested the contents. Lana complained about their relationship, saying she wasn't getting enough attention and that she didn't feel he cared. She said she wanted to look for someone else. She wanted to end their relationship. She was brutal. There was no ray of hope in the letter.

She seemed to be inspired by someone else as she wrote it. There were also perfect spellings and sentences. It looked like the letter had been edited by someone else. It was too perfect for Lana to have written it on her own. He sensed Lana's mother's hand in it. Jay was sweating bullets as read on and his heart sank.

He thought for a few minutes and wrote back to Lana. He reminded her that they had never had a single fight, nor had they ever had an argument, but they had weathered the storms together. He also reminded her about the promise they had made to the Emperor by them to stay faithful to each other.

Then Lana wrote back another letter, and she was even more harsh and angry. She seemed to be very determined not to get back with Jay.

This was another sign to Jay that Lana was not the same person anymore and the relationship was deteriorating, but Jay kept writing back. He tried calling her many times, but she would not pick up her phone. He texted her and wrote to her on Facebook. He even tried telling her brother Ryan and her friends to ask Lana to respond. There was dead silence.

For days and weeks, Jay never stopped writing. He wooed her and kept wooing her. He kept reminding her of the promise they had made before the Trinity, the rings they had exchanged, and the uncanny confirmations from random people who believed in the Trinity. Though she was still friends with him on Facebook and he could see that she was reading his direct messages, she would never respond.

There was no communication from her until one day, Route No. 7 had a concert in a club, and the band was featured in the newspaper. Jay posted that picture on Facebook, and the next day, he got a brief but positive letter from her, saying that she was proud of him for his accomplishments with the band. Finally, he had heard from her after many moons. Jay rejoiced. He wondered if this could be the start of a restoration of their relationship. He thanked her, hardly able to contain himself. But after that, she didn't write back again.

He would give her updates like a journal—everything he was doing and everywhere he was going. It was unidirectional; all the e-mails he sent never came back with any replies. Meanwhile, there was hardly any activity on her Facebook wall. He wondered, "Is she getting sick of me writing? Is she loathing the constant updating?" He had been constant, and maybe she needed a breather, so he decided to pause from writing to her.

A few days later, he saw another picture on her Facebook wall. What he saw freaked him out—it was Lana posing with a lit cigarette. The change in her was obvious. There was no communication of any kind from her after that.

Jay called a few of his friends for prayer. They prayed for Jay and comforted him.

Jay also called Smich Aziza, his old friend and cousin. They had been in touch on and off through the years. Later, Smich had met an amazing man whom she married. Even after they had moved to Florida in the US and started multiple businesses, she would still keep in touch with Jay. She was true blood.

He talked to Smich for hours, pouring out his heartbreak and telling her everything that had happened. Smich listened and prayed for him and encouraged him to fight for the relationship to the end. She prayed for him like the true sister he always felt she was. She stood by him like a rock through the coming months, always being available to listen.

Weeks passed into months. Jay even stopped visiting Lana's Facebook page, until the day he discovered something that put him to the ultimate test.

THE BIG REVEAL

It was the afternoon of November 22, a day Jay would never forget, and the heat was unforgiving. Jay parked his Harley, walked into his room, and logged into his Facebook account. Little did he know that Cupid, General Fear, General Temptation, General Deception, and Eavesdropper were all in the room, sitting on the couches. Demon hordes came out of the computer screen, opposing Fireball and a few angels outside the house.

Lucifer held Fireball and bound him to the gate with a strange power. "I'll deal with you later, Raid," he said.

After a few minutes of struggle, Fireball escaped the power. He fought with the enemy soldiers, trying to get inside the house to defend Jay, but Lucifer had created an evil force field that did not allow him to enter. Lucifer had caused the prayer lines between earth and Blue primus to be jammed. The house was in total darkness. Not a bird sat and sang on the trees in Jay's compound. Even the alley cats and dogs had left. There was a very strong, evil presence.

Jay felt fear, and his heart began to beat quickly as he decided to see what was going on with Lana's Facebook page. The demons that were in the room peered into his face, but Jay was still unaware. He could feel stuffiness, but he concentrated as one little demon dropped from the ceiling onto his shoulder, slid down his hand and guided it to click on Lana's profile. He read the public comments on her Facebook wall: "Congratulations, Lana," "Congratulations! Happy for you!" His eyes widened and his heart began to beat faster as he scrolled down, reading at breakneck speed. He was very alert, and his eyes missed nothing as he kept scrolling.

Suddenly, he saw a name: "Brian." Brian and Lana seemed to have exchanged a few comments, and the conversation ended with "hugs." Jay questioned what he was seeing.

He clicked on Brian's profile. He saw the same kind of comments: "Congrats, cousin." "Congratulations, Brian." "Way to go. Not too far now, Mr. B!" Jay was fearful of what all this could mean. He began to scroll down. As he kept scrolling, he read more messages between them. Suddenly, he saw one from Lana that said, "Get the vintage car and our poodles for the photo shoot. Brian can't wait to be together, and please trim your beard."

Jay stopped and just stared. Then he saw more messages from Brian to Lana, including, "You are my one and only." Sweat began to break out on Jay's forehead as the demons started to shove spiritual lances into his side. He was feeling faint, but he gathered up energy to keep searching for more evidence.

Then he came upon a video clip. He clicked on it. It showed a man with a stubble beard eating a burger. He heard a voice in the background—it was Lana's, since she was the one taking the video.

She said, "Did you like it? I made for you, honey?"

The man with his mouth full and cap pulled over his face said, "Yeah, I love it."

Suddenly, the camera moved, and Lana came into the frame. She sat next to Brian, pecked him on his cheek, hugged him, and laid her head on his shoulder with a smile as he continued eating his burger.

Jay stared into the screen. His pupils enlarged. His mouth was open and dry. He was numb. There was a lump in his throat. His heart was beating so fast that he felt he was going to collapse. He couldn't believe his eyes. ", what did I just see?" he thought as his mouth moved, but no voice came out.

He got off his chair and lay on his bed. He felt he was going to die as demons strangled and tormented him. They were all over him like ants on a wounded body of a helpless insect.

The prayerless life of Jay had greatly weakened Fireball and the angels who protected him, and they were all getting knocked out, one by one. General Fear held Fireball in a viselike full nelson grip as Cupid punched him in the abdomen. Fireball fought back with a few left hooks, but General Deception punched him in the face. Cupid and General Deception took turns assaulting him. Just as Fireball managed to break the hold, General Fear pushed Fireball from behind, thrusting him several feet forward.Fireball was very weak and clearly outnumbered.

Suddenly, Lucifer appeared, facing Fireball. Fireball threw a right hook, but Lucifer easily dodged it and returned a powerful punch into Fireball's abdomen, making him buckle over in intense pain. In a swift motion, Lucifer kneed Fireball on the chest, immediately followed by a lighting fast, powerful, flying roundhouse kick. He sent Fireball a few feet into the air, and the other three demons kicked his airborne body several times before he fell to the floor, battered, injured, and with absolutely no sign of life.

Lucifer, Cupid, General Fear, and General Deception looked down at Fireball's unconscious body. They approached him but Just as they were about to finish him, Fireball began to breathe again and slowly opened his eyes. They were shocked.

Suddenly, they were struck by a bright light that sent them reeling backwards—a portal had opened from above. Michael appeared with a host of angels. Just as the demons lunged toward Fireball, Michael lifted up Fireball into his arms and disappeared as the Sky Patrol descended to cover for Fireball. A few demons escaped through a portal to hell.

* * *

Every television in hell was broadcasting the scene. The demons jumped with joy. There was celebration in hell as they watched the scene on repeat while Eavesdropper reported.

Lucifer was overjoyed. He laughed and laughed and drank his cup of filth. "Bigger screens! Get me bigger screens! I want to watch all the scenes, and get this edited and made into a movie for me. This is one of our greatest accomplishments. Cupid, my darlin where are you? Give that lil' crook a medal! Oh, my demons, I am so proud, so proud! So proud of you."

Lucifer held a huge party in hell. Every demon in hell was dancing. Lucifer was drunk and in high spirits. Possessed by the pleasure of inflicted pain, sorrow, fear, and hopelessness on a human, he broke out into horrendous songs.

The door opened and Cupid, General Fear, General Temptation, General Deception, Spirit Division, and Spirit Jealousy entered. Eavesdropper came in behind them, holding his files. Hell stood applauding.

"Give it to the nightmare team!" Lucifer said. "These boys made us proud! Today, we have successfully broken up the Emperor's will for that Jay and Lana. There were confirmations by many prophets, but of course, we worked on the process, and it is completed. Now that Jay has discovered that he was being cheated on, all prophesies have been smashed to dust in Jay's mind," he said, laughing. "Now he is going to have the worst time of his life because I am going to send our nightmare team back to torment him like we do to humans in the holding cells down here." Lucifer lifted his chalice and gave a toast: "To the destruction of all human relationships, marriages, and families."

Cupid, General Fear, General Temptation, General Deception, Spirit Division, Spirit Jealousy, Eavesdropper, and a whole army of demons raised their goblets.

Hell partied hard that night as cocktails of, serpent venom, a liberal dose of tears of heartbreak, sprinkled with grains of curses and filth unimaginable flowed through the taps of the dance floor bar. A demon deejay mixed the screams of tormented human souls coming from hell's chambers with a beats track of the palpitations of heartbroken lovers. The demonic laughter echoed throughout the tunnels of hell. There were effigies of Jay and Lana burned all over hell. The demons laughed as they took turns being blindfolded and throwing flaming darts at paintings of Jay and Lana to score points. Some danced around Lucifer. All of hell was jiving, including the gatekeepers.

As the gatekeeper demons high-fived each other, one of them asked, "What happened this time?"

His partner in crime chuckled. "They got a breakup between a champion of the Trinity and his girl and ruined their destinies, just like that!" he said with a snap of his fingers.

The first one snickered. "Even though this happens to most of those dumb humans year after year , it never gets old!"

Lucifer called Cupid, General Fear, General Temptation, General Deception, Spirit Division, and Spirit Jealousy into his private room. "I'm so proud of you all for the way you damaged that kid and his girl. I know I've been hard on you all, but you bounced back."

Lucifer looked at Cupid. "Cupid, my darling, you've won my confidence again. I want you to work with Spirit Suicide now and get Jay to take his life. I can't wait to get my hands on his soul."

"Yes, sir. As you know, the team worked meticulously, since you told us to go for it, and I expect similar results going forward," Cupid replied.

Hearing this, General Temptation burned with jealousy and spoke up. "Well, I would work more on seducing him with another girl and make him lose his purity so that he would forfeit his mission, like we did to Samson thousands of years ago. I'd give Jay restlessness and sleepless nights and get him to constantly check Lana's Facebook profile and get him to see more pictures of Lana and her new man that would cause further heartbreak."

Lucifer laughed as he fed on the thought of the pain that would result from the suggestions. He was on a high. "You devils make me ecstatic! Go! Go! Do all that is on your minds. I want Jay's soul." Lucifer frothed at the mouth in excitement.

The demons smiled at their accomplishment. They knew their reward was sure.

THE SECRET PROPOSAL

This life's not what I wanted

Those thoughts now, it's got me haunted

Ran away from the snare of the hunter

Heard the voice of a distant thunder

Darkness is what I see and all that fades around me says

That life ain't going the way it used to be

Reaping the sins I did now paves the way for ma soul to be in hell and Hades

Would somebody look at me?

Walking down the aisle

Living a life anew with Christ

Take a leap of faith, nevertheless I never lied

Words that you said were wasted

Love that you gave was hated

Regret the day, I waited

To see you intimidated

Darkness is what I see and all that fades around me says

That life ain't going the way it used to be

Reaping the sins I did now paves the way for ma soul to be in fire and Hades

Would somebody look at me?

Walking down the aisle

Living a life anew with Christ

Take a leap of faith, nevertheless I never lied

I used to think tears cannot be seen

But I was wrong

I used to think words cannot be heard, but Jah knew everything

Transitpoint, "Aisle"

That night, demons tormented Jay in his room as he lay in his bed. He was feeling the pain of betrayal. He couldn't stop opening up Facebook, and every time he did, he would see a picture of Lana and her new lover.

"How did this happen?" Jay was crying like a baby. "How did I not know? Lord, my Emperor, whom I serve day and night, my strength has gone out of me!"

He couldn't sleep for most of the night, and when he did, General Fear would enter his dreams so that he even had horrible nightmares of his lover leaving him. Jay would wake up in a cold sweat. He was rolling all over the bed in anxiety.

In Blue primus, the Trinity looked below and released angels to comfort Jay. The Emperor wept. The Prince and the Wise One wept with him as they embraced each other. Their teardrops fell like rain. Not an angel spoke that day in the throne room.

The next day, he called his mum and dad and told them the news. They were heartbroken for him. They were shattered for their son and comforted him.

Jay's friends, both girls and guys, were concerned. They visited and tried to comfort him. His friend Ron and their old friend and life coach, Lorenzo, would come at night and sit with him. Sometimes they talked. Other times, they just listened to Jay lament. They were praying and holding up their friend in his weakness. There weren't many words they could tell him. There wasn't much they could do to comfort him. Jay's friends would not forget this.

He felt anger, coldness, fear, doubt, and gloom—all at the same time. He felt so alone and so betrayed that his world started to crumble. He didn't know who to look to and what the next step would be. The feeling of heartbreak was like the feeling of death itself. He was angry with Fred, the brother who betrayed trust.

Some nights he would get so angry and one night Jay punched the window with his hands and smashed it. Blood flowed out and hung down like ribbons from his hands. Lorenzo had to take him to a hospital, and a nurse dressed his hands.

As the days passed, Jay felt like a zombie; he was just going through the motions but had absolutely no will to live.

General Temptation entered his home, and the demons followed him everywhere, even when he was going to work. They put a force field around Jay's mind. General Deception wanted him to believe in the lie that said, "The Emperor hates you. The Emperor didn't help you. He didn't do what he had promised."

Jay tried to dodge the thoughts from General Deception. At times, he would gain victory momentarily, but at other times, he would lose.

The demons assaulted the Sky Patrol daily, but Sky Patrol could only fight in defense and maintain their ground. They had strict instructions from Blue primus not to go on the offense, due to the legal ground that was given to the enemy because of Jay's weakened spiritual condition and lack of prayer. General Fear and other demons joined in the attack against the Sky Patrol, but the Sky Patrol fought back violently and withstood, due to the prayers of many who loved Jay.

Cupid left for Chicago. He was on the job everyday with Lana and her lover. He summoned a few other spirits and began to work on Lana's brother Ryan's wife, because a portal for demons had also been opened in Ryan's life. Jay had contacted Ryan many times, asking why Lana wasn't replying. Though Ryan and Jay had had many conversations, when Lana was in another relationship, he purposely kept it completely hidden from Jay. Once the opening was made, Cupid decided he might as well destroy another relationship. Soon enough, Ryan's wife left him for another man.

Lana's mind was poisoned. She went after a man who would buy all her materialistic desires. She married him for the money. He was divorced and already had kids. Lana would have to become a stepmom to children who were not her own babies. She did not have to take up something she wasn't assigned to do by the Emperor, but she made her own decision as General Deception had bound her eyes and Cupid had led her and her lover on.

General Fear kept tormenting Jay day and night. Days passed into weeks. Jay would sometimes walk all by himself in the streets as he was losing his mind. He was tempted relentlessly. One night, Spirit Alcohol perched on his balcony unoticed as Jay stood there, staring at the night sky, Jay was wondering what went wrong in his relationship with Lana. Suddenly Jay saw an image of himself as a rock star on a stage with a whiskey bottle. He had a broken heart and a crazy career, singing rock 'n' roll, going around with women, writing love songs, and mourning his lost lover every night.

One cloudy night the wind blew suddenly Lucifer came to the terrace where Jay stood with his hands on the balcony, staring out into space. Lucifer leaned against the balcony next to Jay and said, "Lose yourself in women and wine. Forget Lana—I will give you girls more beautiful. I'll give you fame; I'll give you riches; and I'll give you a life you could never imagine. Curse your father the Emperor, who promised you all this. Where are his promises? Where was his hand on your life? Where has he been when you called out to him?" He laughed and continued, "He's forgotten you, lil' man Jay. I'll give you everything you're craving. All I want is your soul. Give me your soul in exchange for this, and you will have it all." Lucifer looked intently at Jay's face.

Jay was silent.

"Take your time, and answer me. Mine is the easy way out. Why do you follow the ways of an Emperor who makes things difficult for you? Who makes you wait? Who has not kept his word? I'll keep my word in exchange for your soul. Just reject him, the Prince and his Wise One, and come to me. Bow before me, and I'll make you the greatest rock 'n' roll singer and musician the world will ever see. Promise me you will lead all these children of men to me also. Money, power, and fame are what you need. I can make all that come true. Do we have a deal?"

Lucifer paused again.

Jay's face tightened as he tried to picture that kind of a future for himself.

Lucifer casually straightened up and slowly started pacing across the terrace. "Think about it. Call me anytime, and I'll come to you to hear your answer. But don't let any of those people of the Emperor—Smich, Earnest, Lorenzo, Bertie, Turner, and these kinds–turn your mind. Follow your own desires. Let your passion of sin guide you. Let your lust overtake you." Then he stopped. He looked straight into Jay's eyes and said, "Take revenge on the Emperor. Come to me. I am waiting."

Just then, Jay got a call. Lorenzo was waiting below outside the house.

"Hey, Jay, what are you doing? Let's go to my house and forget this whole Lana incident for now and just hang out."

"Okay, I'm on the way." Jay ran downstairs, locked up his apartment, and got into Lorenzo's car.

Lucifer shook his head. "What the...!" He cursed. "I wasted my speech and time with these humans that are nothing but..." He unleashed a series of obscenities.

At Lorenzo's house, Jay still wasn't in his right mind, but they prayed together, along with Ron. Jay kept fighting for Lana through prayer, but the demon hordes fought every prayer. He was unable to fight back because he was not reading the Primus Script anymore and was confused. Jay was bruised and wounded badly in his heart.

In a couple months, Lana married Brian, and it was over with her completely.
