Chapter 5 - Hospital Visit and Future Plans

After spending a couple of days at the orphanage, one of the Hokage's personnel informed me that I need to go to the hospital for a health checkup. Although I doubt there will be anything suspicious for them to find. But either way, I don't have a choice whether I go or not. I suppose I'll leave now before more of the fellow orphans get creeped out by me.

*Flashback to day one in the orphanage*

Group of kids are approaching me even though all I want to do is peacefully read books. *sigh...*

"So Jakey boy, you are going to have to put a lot of effort to let you join our gang," said who I assume is the leader

" " " "The well known ONE SHOE GANG!!! " " " "

yelled the whole group like they thought I cared and wanted to part of a stupid gang

*Tumbleweed blows by*

I obviously wasn't going to bother speaking to those idiots. But the silence was getting uncomfortable even by my standards. I was not going to respond so back to reading.

"Are you intimidated by our greatness, hahaha *insert cocky laugh*, well I suppose if you worship us this much we might as well let you give us even more gifts and money to support gang activities" (Author's note: completely unintended but for some reason these bullies speak and act really similar to Gai in the Naruto anime)

Fed up with their stupidity I decided to respond to make some progress with the conversation

"First of all, I would not like to join, Second of all, I am also an orphan that arrived here yesterday, I have no possessions or money so I would not be able to give you anything, Third of all, I would like to get back to reading so please leave me alone" I speak quickly in a monotone voice in order to get the conversation over as soon as possible. After I finish talking, I turn around and look back down to my book.

"HUUUUNHHHH" *Intimidation sound "Boss he is disrespecting us", "Nobody disrespects the One Shoe Gang", "Let's get him boys" announces the group

Although I see out of the corner of my eye them all taking off one of their shoes... WAIT, WHAT why are they taking off one shoe even though they were only wearing one shoe at the beginning. They are not wearing any shoes now, and their feet look disgusting.

Seeing them charge at me I am conflicted on whether I should fight back or let them attack me and minimise damage by protecting weak points.

In the end, I chose to protect my weak points to avoid exposing my abilities and also because I don't know how to fight without aiming to kill and killing these children would most likely get me killed by the more powerful members of the village. Sigh

*Several minutes later*

"You like that loser, you look so pathetic on the floor", "Haha boss he is playing dead", "Wait, boss, he's bleeding a lot", "Hey kid, wake up already... Stop pretending"... at this point they start sounding scared

" " " "Run!!!" " " " at this point they just ran away and left me to die

~ "Fuck you B.R.O., that was not the strength of some children" ~

[Due to chakra in their parents, their bodies are naturally superior to the bodies of children from Earth, System thought it would be in Host's best interests to experience the differences in strength to crush any useless arrogance host has]

Begrudgingly accepting my fate, I slowly stood up and just went back to reading. Casually ignoring all of my injuries due to the fact, it wasn't any worse than any of the pain that I experienced before.

But to my naivety all children passing by saw me covered in blood, they reacted as children do, started vomiting and running away to get help from the caretakers.

And this is when s*it hit the fan.

"AHH DEMON", "WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT CHILD SHAPED MONSTER", "Sigh, I'm going to have to clean up all that blood", "SHUT UP JANITOR, WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE", "QUICK CALL THE SHINOBI."

After several hours of explaining how I was mostly unharmed and the adults calming down the other children, all the children that beat me up going punished severely, whereas I was unwilling to waste even more time receiving treatment, so I just pointed out I was okay and just left.

*End of flashback*

So after about an hour of wandering around looking for the Konoha Hospital, it finally dawned on me that I could save time by asking someone for directions. After a glance around I see someone familiar inside an elegant looking flower shop.

"Greetings, I was wondering if you would be able to give me directions to Konoha hospital please," I say in a polite and respectful tone

"Hmm, Sure but before I do would you mind telling me who you are and why I haven't heard about you before," she says with a look of curiosity

"Thanks, My name is Jake, and before you ask I do not have a last name, also I only arrived a couple of days ago from the nearby forest. Also, might I ask your name please?" I say keeping my respectful tone and a small smile on my face to seem friendly.

"My name is Ino Yamanaka, you can call me Ino, and to get to the hospital, turn left upon leaving the store and walk for about five minutes and it will be on your right. You can't miss it. Also before I forget feel free to come to visit, and we could get to know one another if you want" she says in a joyful voice that makes me want to smile

"Thanks for the directions and the invitation, I would love to come over and spend time with you," I say while dashing out in an attempt to hide the fact my face is starting to blush

*After exactly five minutes of walking*

I must have nearly arrived here several dozen times during my searching for the hospital earlier.

Upon entry I went and spoke to the receptionist, "I am here for my appointment."

"Sure, what is your name?" she asks while opening up what I assume is an appointment book

"Jake and no last name," I say while taking a moment to look to see who else is here

"But why should I have to visit my cousin, she is nowhere near as talented as I am. It is just a waste of time when I should be training" said an arrogant boy's voice

"Shut up nephew, this is out of respect for my daughter and the future master of the household," said an authoritative man towards the child

Just as I was getting interested in their conversation, a sudden voice pulled my attention away from them, "Sure, your right on time, you can go up the stairs and third door on the left. The medical shinobi is waiting for you."

"Alright, thanks for your time," I say while heading to my destination

*Approximately an hour later*

P.O.V. (Point Of View) of the Hokage

"So what information about his body have you found out," I ask one of my most trusted medical shinobi

"His body seems extremely fragile and malnourished, there are also countless internal injuries that were unable to heal due to being damaged so often, and such excessive damage caused irreparable damage that not even I could heal in this short amount of time," he says respectfully to me before taking a brief pause think

"Also his body seems to unconsciously absorb the chakra that I would use on him but at an incredibly slow rate. If I was to make an approximate guess of the rate, it takes about one year of nonstop exposure to chakra to absorb the max capacity of an average genin also he seems to have a bloodline of some sort but is in a dormant state" he says while I start to feel pity for whatever past this child had

"Allow him to be awake, and I will discuss with him," I say while thinking of what I should do

*Several minutes later*

Jake's P.O.V.

Well shit, they must have found out something terrible for them to be looking at me with so much pity

"Well Jake, the academy will have a new year joining in a couple of days and due to the fact look similarly aged, I would like for you to join the academy. Also, I investigated your origins and there were reports of two parents and a child leaving their village for unknown reasons, and the child was reported to be similar looking to you. Also, it would be easiest for you to continue to live in the orphanage for now. Would this be acceptable for you?" he asks, but something in his eyes tells me he is withholding information, but there is nothing I can do about it

Well, that was not helpful in the slightest but there aren't any imediate disadvantages in rejecting his request of joining the academy plus I could use the time to research this world and obtain information from B.R.O.

"Sure I am grateful for your offer and would love to accept," I say not knowing how pointless this decision would turn out to be
