While the battle rages, you and Vecla attend to the wounded, reassure the terrified, and even find time to brew some medicine. Things appear to be going well outside, but–covered in blood and surrounded by screaming and injured people–you can't really tell.

The Crowned Serpent orders his sprawling army to close in. The villagers have repeatedly pushed them back, and now they're out of position, with the river at their backs, but there are so many–an endless wave of feathers and scales and spears.
