"What's your answer, Zicheng ge?" Xu Jiaqi asked. Her eyes never lost contact with Qin Zicheng's own pair as he fell into a stoned state.

Seconds passed, but to Qin Zicheng, it felt like hours of being flustered and nervous- something he has never gone through before. His train of thoughts went awry, and he tried to regain his reasoning.

Xu Jiaqi actually did not intend to impose on the main couple, but it seemed like in order to secure herself, she needed to make prior preparations. She learned from the System that main leads were often very scary as they could somehow find themselves discovering a Godsent gift while walking in the middle of the road on a normal day. Their luck was out of the world, and no one would be able to compete with them if nothing impedes.

For example, even if Xu Jiaqi took off her support, the man would probably be able to find a new sponsor somehow. The only reason the sponsor role fell onto Xu Jiaqi was because it was for the plot's convenience. Anybody would do, as long as it smoothened out Zhou Yuan's career path.

Thus, there needed to be something more than that. Taking control over the entire entity and toppling it down in one swoop. Clipping Zhou Yuan's wings and leaving no chances for him to retaliate when time comes to play.

Just like the recent encounter, Xu Jiaqi learned from experience that the story she had read was not everything. So many things could go wrong, and as a supporting character, her luck was not as extensive as the leads, and she could very well be implicated in a terrible situation sooner or later.

A test of sorts. A test that would not only help prove Qin Zicheng's sincerity towards her, but also to remove her future enemies. She felt quite bad because many people at the Zhou company would also be involved, but her true priority was still the mission and her own happiness. Whether it was innocent people or sinners, if it meant that Xu Jiaqi will be receiving benefits out of it, then she was willing.

"..I will do it for you, Qiqi. I just want to ask.. are you doing this out of spite because Zhou Yuan wronged you?" Qin ZIcheng asked. "In the past, you had feelings for him, right?" he asked.

"Feelings.. Ha, I was just an immature child at that time, I have now learned how stupid I am. Forget about him.." Xu Jiaqi diverted the topic, but her true intention was actually just to incite Qin Zicheng's imagination even more.

Xu Jiaqi being this reluctant to speak about Zhou Yuan, dodging the topic and not even willing to say one speck of a bad word towards the man would make him think that there was something much more than what was spoken.

System: Ahh, my Host is inhumane. How could someone do this kind of act, wuwu!

Xu Jiaqi: Shh, as long as you get your pay, wouldn't everything be alright?

"Zicheng ge, I will be going inside my house now. You can tell me your final decision later on, I won't mind," Xu Jiaqi giggled before turning around and shutting the gate on Qin Zicheng's tranced state without hesitation.

Qin Zicheng stood in the same spot for several minutes just staring into thin air before he went back inside his car. Strangely, he felt irritated. Ever since meeting Xu Jiaqi, he had begun to join in on a terrible rollercoaster of emotions, making him experience all sorts of new feelings he had never comprehended before.

When he spent time with her, he was happy, he felt comfortable and in peace. When Xu Jiaqi laid her hands on him as she spoke poisonous words, he felt like he was going crazy out of sheer shock and excitement. Now, when he heard her talk about Zhou Yuan, he felt like there was a heavy pressure against his heart, making it hard for him to breathe and control his emotions.

Anger? Frustration? But for what? Qin Zicheng wasn't dissatisfied with Xu Jiaqi, the woman made him feel good internally.

He actually ended up searching for his symptoms online, wondering if he had contracted some kind of strange disease due to his everchanging train of thoughts and emotions. He quickly found a simple answer given to him. Reading articles about him led to five main conclusions that he noted down.

1. He had romantic feelings towards her.

2. He is jealous because her mind used to be filled with this man.

3. He wants the woman to think about him and only him.

4. He is attracted to her, so his body reacts severely and his emotions fluctuated a lot.

5. He wants her (?)

A question mark placed on the fifth conclusion was because he did not understand what it implied.

He wanted Xu Jiaqi? For what? What kind of want?

Jealousy? Is that what he experienced?

He repeated the word inside his heart multiple times as he drove back to his own settlement. All he could think of was the woman's captivating figure. She dressed very modestly, but her charms were out of the roof when she displayed the contrast of personality in that very moment.

Remembering it, his heart actually started to palpitate faster. Qin Zicheng became even more confused, thinking that he had to visit his family's doctor yesterday.

How could mere romantic feelings cause this much of a change with his body? He felt like he wasn't even Qin Zicheng anymore, like a ghost had possessed him.

"Want..." Qin Zicheng looked at his notes and thought about her.

"Want to keep her,"

The little bunny that seemed so frail, but actually had a crafty mind and hidden personality. He wanted to keep her by his side, so that he could protect her and let her do whatever she wanted.
