First Arc- The Duke wants to be my Queen!

While lying in bed, I focused my gaze intently on the ceiling. I wrinkled my brow in a scowl and scratched it.

"System, what is this? I was just in the white space, so how did I get here?"

There was complete silence for a while, and then the system spoke, " Host you in the mission world."

"I realise that, but why am I here when I was not even stable enough to take the horrible news that you told me?"

"You passed out, Host, and you weren't coming to, so I had to send your soul to the Mission World so it could get some strength and maturity."

I sighed, it seemed like I could only hear bad news one at a time.

"Okay, system, send me the mission world story".

"I apologize host."

"Provide me with the world quest and the plot, it's good with me."

"Sending it over in a few minutes, host."

"Okay," I said with a tone of disinterest.

I only looked around the pretty opulent and old-fashioned chamber in which I was lying to get a sense of who the secondary male lead might be.

I jumped out of bed and made my way over to the wall mirror. With each stride, the plush velvet floor cushioned my feet.

At that same moment, a buzzing ache erupted inside my head, and for a split second, I was convinced my skull was breaking.

"I'm sorry, host, but the transmission of that painful memory will always cause you discomfort."

While quickly scanning the world backstory, I muttered an "it's OK" tinged with displeasure and resentment.

This was a world where a poor girl met a rich guy in a straightforward language, similar to Cinderella but with some key differences.

The story took place in the West, specifically in 18th-century Britain among the nobility and the royal family. Sophie was a commoner who was attractive, gentle, innocent, and ambitious enough to want to alter the established hierarchy between nobility and the rest of society. She pursued a medical education and was subsequently chosen to go to war to aid the cause, where she gained renown and a title from the monarch for her heroic devotion to the kingdom and caught the attention of the male protagonist.

Richard, our hero, was a noble duke who happened to be the illegitimate offspring of his father. By eliminating all potential obstacles—step-siblings, step-mothers, and so on—he was able to ascend to the post of Duke. Since his mother was a servant and was raped by the prior Duke, he had previously been treated as a commoner. The duke's ex-wife killed Richard's mother with poison because she despised both Richard and his mother. The death of his mother in front of him was traumatic for him. Because of this, he began to actively dislike nobility and seek to effect change himself.

The hero fell in love with the heroine after witnessing her independence and strength of character. They banded together to make a difference, and eventually, the social hierarchy was dismantled.

The story's premise struck me as ridiculous; after all, how could a doctor and a "duke" effect social change? Put that out of your mind; what about the supposed royals? Our supporting male protagonist's role at this point is crucial.

In the fictional realm where the action takes place, the story's secondary male character, Evan Von Chandelier, is the crown prince, the one and only.

Because his parents were just wed out of practicality and didn't have a true connection as all the royals do, he had a loveless childhood. Hence, he grew up without love and yearned for it.

As no one who ever showed interest in him wasn't after his power and prestige, he gave up hope of ever finding true love. Until that is, he met the heroine who changed his life and teaches him about love.

He didn't get the heroine like in every other story, but he still cared about and supported her from the shadows, which is more than can be said about the supporting male protagonist. He failed to prevent the hero and heroine from falling in love, and as a result, he was forced to marry a lady he didn't care for and become the King. He remained in the shadows as a support and a backer for the hero and heroine throughout the entire ordeal. He would help them, yet he was the only one who died before the conflict( the war) that ended the world.

The world's destruction ruined what could have been a happy ending. A war sprang out.  After Evan's death, Richard became the king yet he faced difficulties with making the heroine the Queen. At that time of war, the ministers all chose to send the heroine to war even though the hero disagreed with this. Yet the heroine died in a bomb blast. The heroine's death during the war is what ultimately made the hero destroy the world.

I sighed at this cliche storyline, what was wrong with everyone? Was the heroine a God that everyone was crazy after her? die for her? Destroy the whole world for her?

"So what? I am a crown prince. I can't believe I became a royal" I smiled as I spoke with a chuckle.

"System send me everything about the male lead, from his dislikes to likes".

"Okay host, I am on", I started in the mirror, looking at the young man in front of me. I must agree, he looks stunningly handsome, absolutely my type unfortunately this is my face as of now. He had a beautiful smile with dimples on both sides of his cheeks. I rubbed my face in astonishment. The blonde and blue eyes were the western attraction traits.

" At least I got a good face, maybe I can use this to attract the male lead". I murmured to myself as I had a screen in front of me out of nowhere.

" Host I have sent you everything about the male lead".

I nodded in agreement as I asked before starting to look at the information, " at what point in the story are we? Please tell me I am not already married to a woman?"

" No host, you are not married, we are at the beginning of the story since this world level is E. You are still the crown prince only the heroine is still studying medicine, she hasn't gone to war. As you may advance in rank and points, we would have to do harder mission worlds such as level A or S."

I sighed as relief washed over me, " good, it should be much easier to go after the male lead since he does not have the heroine's influence on him".

I looked over all the information about the male lead as I walked back to the bed and lay down on it.

Even though I said it would be easy to reach the male lead's heart, I already knew it would be 100 times more difficult since I am a man right now and I am sure the male lead is not gay.

I hope the male lead would not be disgusted by me since I don't know how would he feel after knowing a did man fall in love with him?

I don't know what awaits me but I have to go through this so I can live again, I don't want to die nobody does. I wish he wouldn't kick me out.

I sighed as I looked at the ceiling again, I guess this is going to become my favourite pass time.

I closed my eyes as I heard a knock on the door, I sprung up in a panic.

Oh no! This is awful, I already feel scared!  Help me! Ah!

I only appear cold outside but inside I am a timid baby
