The Goblins, wolves and any animal alive in the forest ran with all their strength as they felt a primordial fear much stronger than the voice in their head telling them to kill humans, was the fear of death.

Behind them their former compatriots of that dungeon were now chasing them possessed by a dark green mist that devoured all the life in front of them and took the place of vitality, putting them in a state of madness and hunger for other living beings.

Gwerrr!!!

A goblin screamed in terror as a hand made of mist grabbed his head and seeped into his body, a few seconds later he was covered in black mist with a green light coming out of his chest and he screamed in hunger before attacking his countrymen with their teeth.

This situation was happening across the portal in different ways with all the monsters and plants that were there being corrupted into the undead and thirsty for life, and a terrifying situation was happening in the Goblin camp.

"Barricade the entrance now!" The Hobgolblin Leader shouted to his subordinates who were carrying all the items they found and placed against the camp gate, shoving noises and screams that made them break into a cold sweat were heard on the other side forcing them to despair and holding the gate with all their strength .

One of the goblins holding the gate desperately and pushing it with all his might saw a mist pouring from the holes in the makeshift barricade and looking into one of these holes he saw one of his former companions now an undead screaming and trying to destroy the barricade in a crazed way. but not only they the other monsters that lived in the forest were madly beating against their belly as they drooled with the scent of living beings.

Terror started to seize the heart of this Goblin as he felt his legs give way and his arms go weak, soon the part of his barricade began to be pushed farther back than the others drawing the attention of the Dungeon Chief who saw this and tried yell at him.

"You idiot push it"

CRACK! BOOM!

A loud cracking noise was heard followed by an explosion before the barricade exploded and everyone was sent flying backwards with the Hobgoblin leader being no exception and sent along with 3 other goblins further away.

In his half-blurred vision he can see the legion of undead breaking through the gate and leaping at the unsuspecting Goblins devouring them and consuming their vitality but that's not what caught his attention.

In the midst of all that chaos and terror a figure captivated him amidst the crowd of undead and black fog, a human woman with white hair walked slowly forward and wherever she stepped the grass around it withered and died.

The scene felt so natural and beautiful with her in the midst of it all like a painting of terror and suffering coupled with release and beauty. The hobgoblin felt a sharp pain in his head from the voices telling him to kill humans but in that moment he ignored the voice and reached out towards the white-haired woman who stopped in front of him.

"Please release me." He pleaded with that desire deep in his soul not knowing where it came from only that he wanted to free himself from the bonds of life, feel the coldness and rest that death would provide.

-------------------------

Diana looked at the ugly Hobgoblin in front of her and didn't even have to order the fog to devour him before the last one left his body and leapt at the poor Dungeon Chief, "Well now, I must have devoured 65 percent of the portal?" She said feeling the fog expanding rapidly and devouring the magic crystals along with anything she found in front of it getting stronger.

The fog's size practically multiplied dozens of times and strengthened with every bit of vital and magical energy that entered it, "and speaking of magical energy." Diana smiled as she felt mana in her body and gathered it in her hand.

Soon a blue ball appeared in his hand and began to change shape at will, normally it would be impossible for a living being to manipulate mana at its purest because they already have a way to use their own written mana on their bodies from the first contact, but for the fog that could devour and assimilate anything the way it wanted, it was a breeze to allow it.

Who caused the previous explosion was also Diana testing the power of compressed mana and she was quite surprised by the potential, "I wonder, what could I possibly gain by devouring some hunters..." She says being affected a little by the desires of the fog from hunger but soon regained control over himself.

"For now it's better not to mess with humans until I have the power to fight them, I'll just keep devouring portals as it's very nutritious." Diana commented to herself and began to feel the dungeon collapsing rapidly as the mist began to quickly return to her body but now carrying her newest minions who entered her shadow along with the mist.

"Well let's get out of here." She nodded and went through the portal exit.
