The tragedy in the past.

"yes sam, you have a sister."

Samanth then continued to speak

"just an year after you disappeared. When we were searching for you. We found that your father had an another daughter. Probably even he didn't know."

Sam didn't understand how that could happen. He just waited for them to continued.

"it was your fathers first love, sam. Her name is emma. She and your father worked together as interns. And had to break up due to emma moving out of country."

"emma was pregnant when she moved out. She didn't tell your father about this and decided to keep the baby. That baby was your sister, sam."

"her name is alena. She doesn't know about you or about her real father even now. Alena is 28 years old this year. Do you want to meet them sam?"

when samantha asked the last part. She sound hesitant and she looked at sam with encouragement. Sam didn't know what to say. It seems life is full of surprises.

He looked at emi. Wondering if his sister would be like her. When emi saw him looking at he. She ask

"why are you looking at me?"

Sam shake his head. Then looked back at nick and samantha and said

"i need some time."

"sure son. I know it was sudden and unexpected. let us know when you want to meet them."

Nick said with a smile. After some small talk they started eating and everyone was surprised with how good the food was.

 After that james said he would take a leave to catch up with sam. But sam just said he needed some time alone. He too wanted to spend time with james and emi. But the new about his sister, made him want to have some time alone thinking.

When sam was alone. He thought back to his past and the day of the accident. He felt guilt.

The accident that took his family away. And the one who was responsible for it.

On the day of the accident,

Sam was 7 year old. He didn't eat that day in the morning and was stubborn not to eat unless. He get to go to comicon.

His father had to take a leave for him and comeback. And after promising sam that the whole family will go to the comicon in the evening.

Sam finally ate. But he didn't speak to anyone. As he thought if he did his father might go back on his words again.

And unfortunately, it worked. At 4:30 in the evening everyone was ready with him and his brother dressed as iron man and Captain America. As they were on their way on a car.

Tragedy struck, the weather was cloudy. And even before the rain fell. A blot of lighting struck the car. The car went off road down the hill. He remembered the face of his family members filled with blood.

And his mom pulling him out of the car. Before the car blew up. He was the sole survivor. But he too went into comma and was supposed to die.

He was in comma for 4 years. When everyone lost hope. It was aunt samantha, a close friend of his mother who refused to give up on him.

When every relative he knew gave up on him. His mother's friend was the only one who took him. A kid in a comma to get treatment at their house.

And a miracle happened . the lighting scars started to heal and he got out of comma. From the day he woke up. He blamed himself for 3 whole years. Until he finally let it go of the guilt.

From the day he recovered james treated him like a brother. While emi at the beginning hated him for stealing her parents. As they grew up she became the little sister he never had.

Now that he found out. He still has a mother like figure and a sister. That he never met. he didn't know how he should feel. He was not happy but he didn't feel sad either.

But for his father he still want to meet them.

Time passed and james knocked on the door and called out.

"dinner is ready sam. Come out to eat."

"coming"

At the dinning table. As sam took a seat. He sopke up

"i do want meet them, dad. But can you tell me more about them first."

Hearing this samantha and nick both smiled and nick started speaking.

"i am glad you decided to meet them son. I am proud of you."

He continued

"your sister's mother, emma and I already talked and she knew about you, but she didn't know you came back. She still thinks you disappeared. She did not marry anyone in her life."

"it is a little complicated. But it seems she truly loved your father. They shifted back to this city 3 years ago. And your sister owns a beauty product company."

"she doesn't know about you or your father. She has a fiance. A couple from their high school."

Sam listened to everything but was surprised that his father's lover didn't marry anyone. He didn't know why but he already liked her cause of how royal she seemed to his dad.

And it seems his dad. Was not good at keeping his words. He thought for few seconds before he said.

"do you have her contact dad?"

"yes. I will forward it to you right now."

With that their was no more serious talk. But they did ask him what he wanted to do in the future. To which he asked for some more time.

After dinner as sam went back to his room. He decided to call emma. It was still 9 pm. He knew it was late but still he wanted to know more about his dad. he knew almost everything about his mom from aunt samantha.

But he know very little about his dad. As the phone rang his heart beat became little faster

"ring ring… "

As the call lifted.
