The professor laughed at Lin Ya's words.
There was obvious disappointment in that smile.

The professor skillfully removed the diamond from the diamond ring.
Then, he placed it on the marble table, picked up the stone statue beside him, and smashed it heavily.
Lin Ya was confused…
The diamond in the professor's hand was gone.
In its place was a very small red gemstone.
Lin Ya's eyes lit up when she saw it…
