CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

KIM SANGTAE

I watched him dangle from the rope.....lifeless. I raised my knife and stabbed his lifeless body repeatedly.

" Boss....you should calm...

I turned around and stabbed the guard in the neck while whispering in his ears.

" Never....ever tell me to calm down "

I dropped him to the ground and turned to the other guard.

" Clean this mess and handle the press "

" Yes boss "

I tossed the knife aside and walked out of the room .

KYUNG EUNSOO

I opened my eyes and immediately shut them back because of how bright the room was. I opened them again, slowly this time and tried to sit up but the searing pain that shot up my body, forced me back down.

" Eunsoo....you're awake "

Taemin sat on the bed and gave me a tight hug. He had a bandage wrapped around his head and a few plasters on his face.

" aargh ".

" Oh my gosh....I'm sorry. I'll get the doctor "

He came back with the doctor after a while.

" Hi how are you feeling? "

" Uhmmm I've been better doctor "

" Luckily, none of your internal organs were damaged or injured, so we just gave you a couple of stitches "

" Oh "

" You shouldn't stretch your body or walk around right now and avoid eating anything spicy. Just get some rest "

" Okay. Thank you "

The doctor left and I looked over at Taemin and noticed his arm was also bandaged.

" Taemin are you okay? "

" Yeah...I'm fine "

" Yoonho? Is he okay? He got shot.....where is he ? "

" Uhmmm.....Yoonho.....uhmm

" Ya.....Taemin say something. Is he okay? "

" Yoonho didn't make "

I stared at him blankly as I tried to process what he had just said. My heart felt heavy but I knew I had to keep it together.

" What about your mum and aunt Jisoo? "

" Mum is fine. Aunt Jisoo and Yoonho are in the hospital's mortuary. I gave a statement and handed them the video from Yoonho's phone. Tiger Corp can't get away this time "

" The video....you still have a copy right? "

" I do "

" What about Byungchan? "

" The cops took him "

I looked at Taemin and held his hand gently. I was comfort for all the unspoken words and silent grief that we were feeling. He placed a small kiss on my forehead and patted my shoulder. I heard the door open, and turned to see who it was.

" Oppa "

" Taeri...come here "

I tapped a spot beside me,beckoning her to join me. She walked slowly towards me and sat beside me.

" We found her in aunt Jisoo's car "

Taemin reached forward and stroked her hair gently. She had little bruise marks and looked weak.

" Oppa...mum's not coming back right? "

" Uhmm...

" Taeri.....come on let's eat "

We all turned towards the voice. Taemin's mum stood a few inches away from the door. Taeri got off the bed and walked into her extended arms.

" Aunt Sodam....

She patted Taeri's head and looked over at me with a gentle smile.

" I'm glad you're awake. Get some rest "

I nodded gently and smiled.

LEE TAEMIN

Mum led Taeri out of the room and I let out a heavy sigh. Taeri is going to be so broken. I was startled when Eunsoo clasped my shaking hands in his.

" We are going to be fine ". He said reassuringly.

Eunsoo had insisted over and over again that he wanted to see Yoonho one last time so I got him into the wheelchair and wheeled him to the mortuary. Eunsoo held Yoonho's hand in silence while I stood beside him. It felt even worse because he had no family to bury him.

We stayed for a while and headed over mum's room. Minho and Deokhwa were there with mum and Taeri when we went in.

" Hi Taemin "

" Eunsoo you are finally awake ".

" How is your condition ".

" The doctor said it was nothing serious and I should just rest "

" Guys.....we need to talk ". Minho said

We were all back in my room now and the atmosphere was really tense.

" What is it? "

I was getting impatient now. Deokhwa pulled out his phone and played a video.

* The suspect, Lee Byungchan who was arrested two days ago for the murder of a woman in her mid thirties has just been confirmed dead. Reports say he was mentally unstable and had lured the woman who was later identified as his wife, to the abandoned factory after a fight they had the previous day and killed her. He hung himself in his cell with some pieces of clothing. He was a top detective who just happened to snap *

" Are you fucking kidding me? "

Eunsoo yelled and tossed his pillow to the ground. I slumped into one of the chairs and just stared blankly.

" We can't defeat them ". I murmured and looked up at Minho.
