CHAPTER THREE

LEE TAEMIN

I watched as the sympathizers loomed in. I really didn't want to be here. I couldn't handle all the words of sympathy and all the tears. I snuck out through the back door and walked down the alley.

I sat on a bench in the park and watched a couple of kids ride their bikes. After a while, I noticed people leaving the park and only then did it dawn on me how late it had gotten. I got up and was about to leave when I noticed a long silhouette make it's way into the park.

I strained my eyes and managed to get a view of the face. I gasped almost immediately.

" Accident boy? That looks like the guy I almost ran over today" . I muttered.

I sat down again and watched as he crouched down and then stood back up before letting out a scream that startled me.

" What's wrong with him?"

He kept kicking the rocks on the floor before turning to the swing pole. He threw repeated punches at it before slumping to the ground with his head in a bow.

" Is he a fucking psycho? "

I murmured and took a long look at the crouched figure

" His hands must hurt"

After a while, I came back with the band aid I had gotten from a nearby store. Luckily, he was still there. I walked over to him and crouched down in front of him.

" Who the fuck are you?". He asked with the coldest expression ever.

" Do you think you're superman? Punching the swing like that." I said and held his injured hand.

" I don't need your help so fuck off"

He tried to move his hand away but I held it tighter and flicked his head a little.

" Stay still. It'll only take a minute "

KYUNG EUNSOO

I watched as the boy grabbed my hand and washed it with water. He was the same person who almost ran me over this morning. I winced a little as he applied the ointment.

" Does it hurt?". He asked while lstaring up at me.

I was so startled by his behavior that I didn't even care to answer. He applied the band aid over the injury and did something absurd that left me completely speechless........He lowered his head and placed a kiss over the band aid.

" There.... all good". He said and smiled.

I didn't know how to react, so I just stared at him in awe. I watched him inch closer to me until our faces were only inches apart. He placed his hand over my forehead .....

" Are you feeling sick?"

I shoved his hand aside, got up and walked away. I walked out of the park and headed down the street.

" Is he fucking crazy?"

I placed my hand over my forehead and took one last look behind me and continued walking.

LEE TAEMIN

" Cute". I murmured.

After he left, the reality of why I came to the park in the first place suddenly hit me and I let out a deep sigh as I felt something heavy in my heart. I turned around and headed home.

KYUNG EUNSOO

I reached for the door knob before letting out a deep breath and turning it.

" Oppa where have you been?

" Just outside.....where's mum?"

" Her room"

I knocked on her door and waited for a response before stepping in.

" where were you? You missed the *gimbap I made so I left some for you"

*gimbap is a korean dish made with cooked rice, vegetables and other fillings *

" Mum.....I'm sorry. I spoke without thinking. I know it's hard for you as well "

" It's fine. We'll get past this. I promise "

I gave her a little hug and left. I met MinAh standing right outside the door like she was waiting for me.

" What?"

" Have you settled with mum?"

" Yeah...I have"

" What's with the band aid?"

" Nothing.....just some weirdo". I said and glanced down at my hand.

" Not as weird as you I'm sure"

MinAh said and ran into her room,closing the door shut.

" Ya!!!!!!". I screamed after her.
