Hidetsugu listened to the exchange, glancing at the pair back and forth whenever it's their turn to speak. He wanted to interject badly but his tongue seemed to back out when he tried.
It felt like he wasn't there and that his presence is insignificant… that his opinion doesn't matter. The opposite of what he was aiming for.
"Hidetsugu," called Hideyoshi-- "My son will teach you everything you wish to learn. If you are curious about something then come to him."
Seeing that the patriarch finally raised his head to meet his gaze, Hidetsugu found that as an opportunity and tried to grab it.
"Ahh… Well…" He was going to question Hideyoshi's decision but the latter beat him to it.
"Now then…" Hideyoshi mumbled.
Again, he was disregarded.
