Your lucky day

The impatience and stress were overwhelming Yanagi while looking at Asahi's laboratory. He was waiting for the perfect time to launch the virus from his tablet.

Yanagi's virus was not from the new generation ones, however it was pretty strong to deactivate the cameras for a night. He spent 6 whole days creating it. The happiness for the final product made him forget his tiredness. Well, he managed to get a full week day off for his illness and he slept a full one-day, so he got only 6 days to create the virus. Also, he works three days straight building the code and took some power naps to gain power. At least that's how he described it to himself, in reality he collapsed on his desk due to his insomnia.

The hundred cans of energy drinks where forming a tower taller than him. But, he was happy that he built a satisfying code that can give him a whole night of invisibility.

Yanagi was sitting on his chair ready to press the launch button as soon as most of the workers will leave the place. His hands were shaking. The image of him getting caught by the security was creating doubts inside his mind. He never believed he would do something like this. However, he was determined about the decision he made, he would do anything for his project. Time passed and it's already midnight, the only people inside the laboratory was him, two other scientists and the janitor.

It was finally the perfect time to activate the virus. Yanagi's hand was ready to press the button. His hand was shaking as it was getting closer to the button. Although, when his finger was a centimeter away from the button ready to press it he heard a metal noise from Asahi's laboratory. The sound was going for a couple of minutes and suddenly stopped. Yanagi, went slowly to the laboratory to take a look. Yanagi was shocked. His eyes were wide open after the thing he discovered. Asahi was throwing away a full-bodied robot, cursing to it about how useless it was, and that he would never achieve anything with it.

Suddenly, the tablet slipped from his hands which symbolize the disappointment he felt. He spent 6 days building a virus that he doesn't even have to use it anymore. He was awake for days planning the perfect way to steal the components and on the top of it he almost tired apart his soul while fighting between his ethical and unethical self.

Not only that, but he felt so disappointed and angry at the same time that he went through stress, guilt and depression for his choices. The noise of the tablet will drag Asahi's attention and he will look towards the spring of the noise. He walked to the corner of the room to see what was the sound, but couldn't find anyone, however his problem was more important than that and ignore it. But where did Yanagi go?

Well, Yanagi ran immediately to the trash section of the building to receive the body. He couldn't believe that he can take a full body, instead of piece. As he was running the only think he could imagine is the less time he would spend to build the robot. The only thing he needs to do is fix and repair it and create the code for his brain software.

He was really excited about that and he was running like crazy to take the elevator. The janitor, although, took first the elevator. Yanagi, without thinking he took the stairs and quickly was jumping the steps two by two. His heart was racing while thinking that he really could take a whole body. His lungs were hurting, but he couldn't stop, his dream was a couple of floors away.

When he finally, reached the trash section he zoomed around the bins before the destruction time begins. He was searching, for 10 minutes now and he had 1 minute left. When finally he found it and he used the null strength he had to push it out of the bin. The time was slowly getting closer to the destruction time, he looked the clock and he saw 1 second away. His rage and determination gave him the power he needed to push it out on the last second.

Yanagi took a minute to catch his breath, looked the body like being his lover and hug it like he owns it. Yanagi, finally claimed the only thing he need to achieve his dream. Maybe he didn't execute his plan and the effort he did for his virus turned useless but he was happy that he gained what he needed. It was really his lucky day.
