Chapter 32: Unauthorized Communication
Utu: “He was here when the event was discovered but, I sent him home before he saw anything at all, including the protocols.”
“I told him that there was a problem with the system and that he should go home for the day, that there was nothing that could be done until the issue was resolved and that I would call him back in if it was fixed before his shift ended.”
(Unknown male voice): “I see and he bought that?”
Utu: “The kid hasn’t been here long enough to know better. He assumes that this is normal procedure as far as he is concerned. He is too green.”
(Truth is, the kid is smart, much smarter than most of the people that work for me and would know that this out of ordinary regardless of if he discovered the deviation or not. I just hope that he is smart enough to follow my advice and stick with the spin coverage that no doubt everyone will hear about soon.)
(Unknown male voice): “Ok and what about your Operator?”
