“Jared, is this what you meant when you said that things were complicated?” Jasmine asked, concerned.
“No. This is not what was thinking about when you tapped on my shoulders a few hours ago.” The professor stated adamantly.
(Damn it! I have to worry about what Kumotsuki was telling me and now this. But who is behind this? Is it the protectors of Atlantis or is it one of the governments that I refused to work with? And just what exactly is their goal here?)
“If you knew that something like this bullsh*t might happen, speak up now,” their driver said with rage.
“This makes little sense at all. Most of the locals in the immediate vicinity are working for us because they can make much more than doing anything else. Not only that, but this region scarcely has 80,000 people who live here, including the nearly day drive to get here.” Kumotsuki said.
