Caroline nodded, setting her teacup on the table with a look that couldn't be separated from the man who was taken aback by a fact he couldn't believe.

He did suspect them, but he didn't believe that it had anything to do with their troubles. If it was like this then all they could do was meet them before the red full moon appeared.

But if Caroline's thinking is correct, then they no longer exist in the human world and the possibility of being in the world of the Vampires is a possibility. And he didn't want his cousin to do something crazy to be cornered by this fact.
