Scarlet

She saw the queen staring at her while pondering.

"Everyone can leave except Vlad, Ana and you" She said while pointing at the Crimson's captain.

"Ummm your highness. The other crimsons aren't healing from their injuries." The instructor said as he panicked.

"Ohhh yeah. I forgot." Dark red energy left the bodies of the Crimsons' on the floor and went back into Tenebrea. "All my attacks have nullifying energy but you guys are fine now" She cleared her throat embarrassingly.

Everyone bowed and left, quite fearful of their ancestor.

"What's your name?" She asked, looking at the Crimsons' captain

"Scarlet, my queen" She bowed in her disheveled armor.

"Scarlet. Hmmm, how would you like to be trained personally by me??" She asked

"My queen, what do you mean??" Not only Scarlet but even Vlad and Ana were confused.

"Well, I'd like train you to reach your maximum potential. Sounds quite explanatory to me" Tenebrea shrugged

"So, like a master?" Scarlet asked

"Yeah. Like a master. Exactly like a master. So, what'd you say??" She had a persuasive tone. Scarlet looked confused but she thought about it and being taught by her ancestor, the queen, was something anybody would kill for.

"Greeting, Master" she said as she went forth and kissed Tenebrea's hand. It was how people of this continent addressed their masters for the first time.

"Good girl. Okay just wait here. Vlad, Ana, I guess you both have discovered what has been going on in this continent while we were asleep?" She asked her two loyal retainers.

"Yes, my queen. We have." Ana said

"The Daemon continent has been in a fluctuating state of turmoil, strife and silence." Vlad spoke "Several races have gone into extinction, including the peace-loving Lamias, the dark nymphs and treants, and even the stone Giants"

"Wow that's shocking. I did not expect the strong stone giants to go extinct!"

"Master, it is often said that they were becoming too strong, and that was why they were wiped out" Scarlet spoke trying to earn some points.

"Hmm, I see." Tenebrea nodded

"After your hibernation, we chose to go into hiding, preserving our strength and only attacking when needed. The Demon clan are still hiding waiting for their king. The fallen angel clan have also been quiet, killing any trespassers that get close to their mountain. Several other clans are doing alright like the Succubi, the lich clan, and the centaurs."

"Only four clans remain thriving, excluding ours. There's the Barbarian clan, the Kingdom of Ogres, the night pixies and finally, the Shadows."

"Ohhh?? This is the first time I'm hearing of the Shadows. Who are they??" Tenebrea looked at Scarlet

"Master, it is said the Shadows emerged within the time you were asleep. They are beings without physical bodies. They possess a body and make it stronger at wielding the dark attribute. They are not of this continent, but of another far away. I don't know if that is just a rumor or it's true. They fought against the people of that continent and had the upper hand because the people were divided, but they finally united against the shadows, beating them back and killing most of them. The Shadows crossed across the continent in their borrowed bodies and they started possessing the people of this continent and they have finally grown to this point." Scarlet said

"And since this is the Daemon continent, it is easy to thrive, especially for a creature with the dark attribute and there is no fear of uniting, as a race will always backstab the other." Tenebrea sighed

"Anyways, I understand now. I need to get stronger. The good thing is I can feel my power orbs and the closest one is due north" She sighed "Isn't that ---"

"Barbarian Territory" Vlad, Ana and Scarlet gulped

"Crap!! Okay Ana, go tell the Crimsons' instructor to replace Scarlet. Vlad, take Scarlet to the treasury, let her take anything she wants and bring out the most potent flame attribute herbs we have and take a life replenishing pill for both of you, the ones I made with the blood of that old man"

They both nodded and set off while Scarlet just followed like a confused child. Tenebrea sat on the throne pondering how to get her power orbs. She later just shrugged "I guess heads might roll. Wouldn't be the first time"

After an hour, Scarlet returned with Vlad. She donned a new red armor and also had a longbow and a crossbow by her side with two short daggers tucked in her belt. Tenebrea was surprised at how her new disciple was quite thick-skinned, and just went ahead to take everything that caught her fancy.

Looking at all the herbs that could help individuals with the fire attribute, Scarlet was shocked and scared as she felt absorbing all that energy might cause her to explode.

"Take the medicine first" Tenebrea said to Vlad and Ana. Vlad opened his palm and two glass beads 1/5th the size of a fingernail were there. He gave one to Anastasia while he ingested the second one. There was a golden light shining from both their bodies and after a minute, the lights died down.

Two dashing middle-aged people, a handsome man with a goatee, black hair with white streaks and a smile to die for, and a pretty middle-aged woman with voluptuous breasts and a homely feeling emitting from her, stood before Tenebrea. They both knelt down and said

"Thank you, my queen"

"Your looks have returned to the way it is in my memories, and you have leveled up into the gold rank. That is great." Tenebrea nodded

She then held the fire herbs, which slowly changing into a liquid form. It all then flowed into a bottle positioned directly below it.

"Here, drink it all" Tenebrea handed it to Scarlet who was a bit hesitant but still drank it regardless. Immediately, it entered her system she felt like she was going to blow up but she felt a hand against her back and the energy was sealed.

"You can access that rampaging energy whenever you need to cultivate. Just take it slowly" Tenebrea said

Turning, she told Vlad and Ana she would go out with Scarlet to the Barbarian wildlands. They informed her that it would a bad idea but she did not pay heed to their opinions.

The next day, an ugly carriage was prepared for them, in order not to draw any attention.
