Chapter 5 Confrontation
PTO KONOSIS BASE
Five rugged Saiyan warriors sit together trying to make sense of this miraculous situation before them.
"Are you sure Fasha, two over 20,000 and one over 50,000. He killed them all?" Tora asked in a worried tone.
"Yes, miraculously his power jumped from 9,000 all the way up to 85,000. Then both the weaker enemies were killed in under a minute. The Strongest took only 4 minutes. Then he showed back up to pick me up like nothing ever happened. After that we came back here and waited for you guys." Fasha recounts what happened.
"That doesn't make any sense, not even past week his power was 7,000 and already we were suspicious. When he fought against the Captain at the Salamander base he was definitely trying his best, who would get poisoned purposely if he was always that strong." Shugesh contemplates trying to think that he's been hiding his power.
"That does work either, I trained the kid the whole week and I made a startling discovery. His growth is different from any of our race. On our last spar he went all out and his power exceeded 8,000. That has to be one of the biggest jumps in our history and I think he could have pushed harder and gained more." Borgos adds in recounting the weapons training camp he did with Scorz.
"O-over a thousand points in one week, that's impossible." Tora stutters out in fear.
"It's not impossible, I gained a 5,000 Zenkai boost against the Heeters last year." Bardocks disagrees, lifting his armor to show a huge scar down his side.
"You're talking about that short blue alien with the dreams of being stronger than Frieza?" Fasha asked, Bardock's nods confirming her guess.
"Yes, Gas was that little bastard's name, his power was over 90,000 when we fought. The only reason I managed to win was because he let his guard down thinking I was low-class."
"But we're talking about regular training Bardock, not a Zenkai. Sure he had a small one after his fight with that captain but nothing to boost him over 80,000. I mean come on, he's stronger than you now Bardock, there has to be some kind of secret he's hiding!" Tora said exasperated.
"The way I see it, it's one of two possible reasons, he's the Legendary super Saiyan or he found some secret way to train that nobody else has discovered." Bardock reasons to the squad.
"That supposed to be just a legend, do you actually believe that story?" Shugesh asked curiously.
"I don't know, but we're not going to get anywhere gossiping like this, I'm gonna go ask him myself" Bardock states before storming out the room.
"I mean it's not like it's the biggest deal, me personally I don't mind having the kid as a safety net if some crazy shit happens." Shugesh adds offhandedly.
"That's not the point Shugesh, no Saiyan has ever grown that strong in all of recorded history. If we say the Super Saiyan legend exists then that's the only one who was stronger. It's preposterous." Borgos replied, annoyed. Everyone quickly settles down and nods in agreement, answers were needed.
DESERT 10KM FROM PTO BASE
The adrenaline rush still hasn't left, killing over a thousand soldiers and then fighting my way through two Squad Captains, a lieutenant that last week would have killed me like a bug.
Looking over everything that I got from the system today makes my head hurt. In recap I got two titles, a piece of armor, over fourteen million experience. Let's just say that it was the most productive and eye opening experience to date. Honestly it may be pride but I'm excited to get rid of the Low-class title, it did offer a 20% increase in Xp gain so it wasn't horrible but the new ones are better.

ELITE-CLASS SAIYAN WARRIOR: INCREASES XP GAIN BY 50% AND BOOSTS ALL STATS BY 30.
ARMY KILLER: INCREASES XP GAIN BY 20%, BOOST STATS BY 75. IF YOU ARE FACING MORE THAN 50 ENEMIES AT ONCE, TEMPORARILY INCREASES ALL STATS BY 50%.
LOW-CLASS SAIYAN WARRIOR: INCREASES XP GAIN BY 50%
'Damn so one's better during battle while the other is better during training, a boon indeed.'
'Now for the armor with an evil sounding name' I Intone before pulling out a pair of black armored gauntlets, very similar to the Elvin version.
'EPIC' GAUNTLETS OF THE DAMNED
EFFECT:BOOST ALL STATS BY 25 AND INCREASE ATTACK SPEED BY 50%
I put it on quickly without a second of hesitation, with the boost from the Army title and the gauntlet I gained a total of 100 across my stat sheet, the difference In power is immense.

'Might have underestimated the use of titles, now I could probably take on Captain Ginyu, at least with Sage mode. Even better it's only a couple more days before Beets finishes the gravity room. Now with my base power so close to Bardocks we can make insane progress training together. Probably even better than what Goku was able to accomplish alone.' I think to myself in excitement.
After doing gravity training for a couple months or so between missions is when I'm going to ask for leave to head to Yardrat to complete that quest and to learn instant transmission.
With my plan set I can't help but sit down and sigh thinking of the only downside of this whole ordeal.
Without thinking before acting, I came to realiz Fasha was close enough for her scouter to monitor the battle. Her seeing me fight someone over 50,000 must have been a shock, but when my power jumped from 9,000 to over 80,000 thousand I'm sure she was speechless.
Pretty sure I lost the trust of everyone on the squad, when I met back up with Fasha after the battle she looked at me with warriness and caution. It was infuriating, I trained harder than all of them, even Bardock. It's obvious that's why I'm getting stronger than them quickly. When we met back up with everyone I could literally feel the suspicion in the air. Nobody asked, they just assumed I would inform them every time I got stronger. It's obvious with the system that I'm growing faster than anybody but I thought that they wouldn't care much seeing as how they hide Bardock's power from everyone. It led to me storming off mildly angry, not childish at all.
In relating it doesn't matter much to have their trust because I'm sure they won't betray another Saiyan. The worst that could happen is they report my increase in power but I know for sure that would never happen.
'I guess sooner or later it's gonna lead to a confrontation, maybe sooner than I thought' I think to myself as I feel a powerful energy heading my way.
Minutes later I see Bardock landing in front of me looking mildly irritated.
"What's up boss?" I say to him casually, acting as if I don't know what he's here for. He gives me a look before he sighs.
"Quit hiding your power kid, there's no need." He orders as I comply, boosting my power to my base limit.
"Well I'll be damned, I was kind of hoping Fasha's scouter was on the fritz. 34,000 at 1.5 cycles is absolutely insane. That doesn't explain how you beat a lieutenant on your own." Bardock probed.
"I discovered a transformation that boosts my power, it has a time limit." I reply back honestly, I can't see a reason to lie to him. He's had my back since I landed in this hell whole. His eyes widen in surprise obviously mistaking what I said for something else.
"Y-your the Legendary Super Saiyan?!" Bardock for the first time I've seen him looks flustered.
"No, not even close. I refer to it as Sage mode, it works based on the natural energy of living things. I can gather that energy and combine with my ki multiplying my strength and power." I inform him of the ins and outs of Sage mode.
"That sounds like some of the other races' transformations, but multiply? By how much?" Bardock asked cautiously.
"I just got a handle on it, but five times right now" I answered him to his great surprise.
"Show me," he orders with no hesitation.
I comply quickly, closing my eyes and gathering energy. Impressively when I first started it took a whole minute, now it only takes 10 seconds. As soon as I open my yellow eyes my power explodes while Bardock takes a cautious step back as his scouter begins going haywire, I can see it pass 120,000 before exploding on his ear.
'So the scouters limit right now is 120,000, unless they give Saiyans lower models, it's possible but doubtful'
"Kid, what's your power level right now"
"173,000" I tell him with a hint of pride.
"Your stronger than every Elite I've seen, you have to keep this a secret" Bardock warns me fearfully, probably because I'll get killed by Frieza the moment he finds out.
"You'll probably be stronger than me in base after the gravity rooms working, I was thinking that now that our base forms are so close we can fight under the gravity, boosting our gains exponentially," I tell him with a smirk while his eyes widen at my plan.
"So that's why you've been killing yourself on almost every mission, you were trying to catch up." Bardock realizes with a cunning smirk of his own.
"Pretty much, I figured with one chamber it'd be hard to take turns if I couldn't handle what you could. We only have so much leave and off time between missions."
"Then how about you drop out of that cheating ass form and fight me in base, I might finally be able to make some progress after a year!" Bardock states in excitement with battlelust steaming off of him.
"You see, I kind of remember two times when you were unnecessarily mean to your junior" I state jokingly while his eyes widen in caution and he puts up a guard. At Least until I disappear from sight and land two kicks into his lungs.
"Y-y-you l-little bastard!" Bardock yells in pain before I start laughing my ass off. 'Ahhhh, revenge is so sweet.'
"S-sorry boss, s-still a little sore about you kicking me in my bleeding side and into a wall," I reply back between chuckles before dropping out of Sage mode right into a prompt from the System.

OBJECTIVE: FORCE BARDOCK TO USE 100% POWER.
BONUS OBJECTIVE: WIN OR MAKE THE FIGHT LAST UNTIL A DRAW.
RESTRICTIONS: ALL OBJECTIVES MUST BE COMPLETED IN YOUR 'BASE FORM'

'Well shit I expected it would take a while longer to get another level up, I guess the system grows with me as well as the rewards.' I think in excitement as I pull out my sword.
"No, purely martial arts. Your hand to hand skills will suffer if you only fight with that sword. Trust me kid, I've been fighting my entire life and 90% of swordsmen die in seconds after they lose their blade." Bardock teaches me. 'I guess I can't complain, it's the second time he's teaching me since we met. I'd be a fool to not learn as much from his as I can' I intone before I sheath the blade back into my new gauntlet.
"Good, now let's see what you got," he smiles evilly. 'Yeah maybe shouldn't have been petty' i intone before ducking under a lighting fast kick.
The battle to decide the strongest Saiyan has begun.
