Chapter 80 : Almost Over
*Trinity's POV*
I got to the courthouse and see Matthew waiting outside for me. I pulled the visor of my car down and checked my makeup to make sure that I was looking at least somewhat presentable. Then I climbed out of my car and made my way up the steps toward Matthew.
He smiled and leaned down to give me a kiss as I got up next to him. I smiled back, partly in relief that he didn’t suspect anything. The smile stayed as he grabbed my hand and started walking with me inside the building.
However, it faltered when we reach the courtroom. No matter how many times I had been in that room, the feeling of dread just wouldn't go away.
And it didn't help that when I left yesterday, I had felt completely beaten down and torn apart. At least, now my part was over and it was time for the closing statements from both sides.
I took a deep breath as we walked inside. This was it. This should be the last day and then all of this would be behind us.
