[9:30 pm. Location: Skies Above Shibuya City.]
BOOM! BOOM!
The sound of rapid explosions could be heard across the sky as Jin and Gojo clashed.
If one looked from afar, they could see a red light and a blue light flying around each other, clashing every second.
This had been going on for a few minutes now and none of them could gain the upper hand on the other.
Someone had to break the stalemate.
Jin broke the clash, jumped back and launched a volley of Gamma rays at Gojo, turning the night sky into a light show.
Gojo didn't back down from the attack. Just relying on the infinity, he charged through the beams and closed in on Jin rapidly.
"Incredible!"
Jin was amazed at Gojo's progress. Before, he couldn't even block normal radiation with his infinity. Now, even Gamma radiation couldn't get through.
The two of them went through multiple buildings as they exchanged strikes over and over.
Kicking Gojo away, Jin plucked out a few of his hairs and threw them at the sorcerer, charging at him as the hairs transformed into clones.
This had turned the tides of the fight completely.
Gojo struggled to defend against the clones unarmed and immediately used Red, blowing them back with incredible force.
But Jin was unaffected.
He jumped through the spatial attack and drop kicked Gojo in the stomach, rupturing most if not all of his abdominal organs as he got sent flying across the city.
In the next moment, a clone appeared behind Gojo while he was in motion and grabbed him, using the momentum to suplex the sorcerer through another building.
"Urgh!"
With his RCT working to its maximum capacity, Gojo quickly regenerated, slipped out of the clones grip and shot out an orb of 'Blue', destroying the clone on impact.
Controlling the orb as if it was an extra limb, Gojo used the attractive force of Blue to pull in the other clones who were approaching before they could even react, causing them to implode right after.
Gojo had gotten significantly stronger after the last time he fought Jin. Even the speed at which he deployed his techniques had improved massively, making it almost impossible to see when he even made the hand sign.
"Whew..."
The full moon shone on Gojo's shirtless body as he looked up into the sky at Jin, who stood looking down at him, hands in pockets, from a rooftop.
'I was right about him...the way he bypasses my Infinity is completely unique to any enemy I've fought so far. I've studied the different types of energy he's used so far, all of the techniques, their side effects, and anything related to them...'
Gojo started cracking his knuckles and smiled as his cursed energy flared up over him, his blue eyes shining vibrantly in the night sky.
'...And their is only one type of energy related to nuclear power that can completely negate space-time like that...Quantum energy. In fact, I'm sure that's what that thin layer of red energy around is body is.'
Gojo wasn't wrong. Normally, the layer of energy over Jin was hard to see and wasn't even consciously emitted by him, but Gojo's Six Eyes allowed him to see all.
This energy had been present since their first battle, but it was only now that Gojo could put a name to it.
"Jin...stop hiding behind your clones and come down here. Remember, you were always the challenger, trying to take the title of the strongest from me. Now act like it."
BOOM!
In a flash, Jin jumped off the building and landed in front of Gojo, destroying the ground around them. Red cursed energy flared up around him as he folded his fists, his eyes locked onto Gojos' while they stood face to face.
Through cold eyes and gritted teeth, Jin responded, "I'm the challenger? Have you forgotten that I spared your life and took your eyes from you the last time we met?"
Gojo started laughing hysterically when he heard this.
He knew Jin was right. He acknowledged that this monster had won the last fight. But that didn't change anything.
In his mind, he still had the title of 'The Strongest'.
"So what? I'm still alive!"
WHOOSH!
Moving faster than ever before, Gojo kicked Jin in the abdomen and sent him flying away through multiple buildings.
'Maximum Technique: Hollow Purple.'
Using his signature hand sign, Gojo sent out a gigantic orb of purple energy that disintegrated anything it came in contact with.
But, that wasn't the end. Multiple smaller orbs of the same technique followed behind the initial one, bolstering the destructive power of the technique tenfold.
All of this happened before Jin could even recover from getting kicked away.
At this moment, it was like Gojo was a different person.
"Tch."
Jin flipped over, landed on his feet and outstretched his arm, causing a burst of red lightning to appear.
"Extension Technique: Lightning Spear."
The sounds of thunder could be heard as the red lightning took the form of a spear. With incredible speed, he lunged forward with his spear outstretched, raw red power surging from its tip.
"It doesn't matter how many new techniques you use..."
Jin's spear clashed with the initial purple orb, causing cracks to appear upon it.
In the next moment, Jin destroyed the orb as if it was glass and immediately started thrusting his spear rapidly at the smaller ones, shattering them on impact.
"I will destroy all of them. Gojo, you have already lost."
Gojo didn't even respond as he just rushed at Jin, causing the two to engage in another heated melee brawl.
'Just as I thought. I only have a few options against him...'
Barely managing to dodge Jin's thrusts, Gojo struck back with a multitude of Blue enhanced punches, blowing Jin back from the immense impact.
Jin could feel his bones shattering from every blow he received from Gojo. But, he couldn't stop. Gojo had to be defeated here.
As much as he wanted to use his clones to finish this battle faster, he felt as if it would be a bit dishonorable for such a grand battle.
So, as a true warrior, Jin recovered his footing and dispelled his lightning spear, smiling at Gojo as he approached him once again.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Their bodies shattered and repaired themselves simultaneously as they clashed, every meeting of their fists rupturing the foundations of Shibuya from the force.
This was a spectacle that could only be watched from afar.
But, if one looked closely, they could see Jin getting pressured by Gojo's overpowering fists. His RCT couldn't keep up with Gojo's, nor could his lightning enhanced punches match Gojo's extreme proficiency with Blue.
Currently, in all physical parameters, Gojo had outmatched Jin.
And this fact was starting to show within the battle.
Every time Jin would land a strike, Gojo would simply tank it and return the attack with double the power.
Since he had been in this world, he had never met anyone with such overwhelming physical power.
BANG!
In a flash of black and red lightning that could barely be seen during the night, Gojo landed a square black flash in Jin's abdomen, sending him flying across the city from the extraordinary impact.
"Urgh!"
Jin's limbs rattled as he struggled to stand back up to his feet, blood leaking from his mouth and internal wounds, forming a pool on the floor.
His cursed energy felt as if it had been thrown out of equilibrium, as he could feel it rapidly leaking out of his body.
'He really landed a black flash...tch. No problem...I can still win. My RCT isn't fast enough to keep up with the rate I'm getting damaged at...so I'll try another way. It's time to reveal what I really am, and here's to hoping that my mind comes back from it.'
Jin stood up straight, looking up at Gojo who was standing on a building, looking down at him.
Letting out a jovial laugh, the white haired sorcerer said, "Look how things have changed, eh Jin? Our roles are reversed."
Jin's expression turned into one of melancholy as he turned his attention downwards, looking down quietly at the palm of his bloodied hand.
'How long has it been since I've used the power you gave me, father? Heh...it's not like I can completely ignore it anyways. You burned it into my very existence from birth. How long has it been...since I've taken on the role of the machine of war that you wanted me to be?'
Jin then turned his attention back to Gojo as he canceled his RCT, allowing his unhealed injuries to continue leaking blood. He even completely deactivated his cursed technique, disabling any application of it across his body.
Including the thin layer of quantum energy that covered his body.
Gojo took note of this and a look of confusion appeared on his face.
In his mind, he wondered, why would Jin do this?
Did he want to die?
Had he given up?
Suddenly, the man in question opened his mouth, asking a simple question.
"Gojo, do you understand the meaning of power?"
------
"Oi,Roger! Is he going to lose?!"
Back in the heavenly domain, Cade and Roger were staring at a screen, watching the battle closely.
Cade bit his fingernails, glancing back and forth between the screen and Roger, hoping that the old man had some comforting words for his worries.
Suddenly, Roger's expression changed as he stared at the screen, his eyes widening with realization.
"No...the First Son...he's using it. He's letting his original power out. If he does...he won't be able to take it back."
Cade almost lost his mind hearing these words.
What did Roger mean that he won't be able to take it back?
Isn't revealing his true power a good thing? Why on earth would Roger appear so worried?
Jumping up from his seat and grasping Roger by the shoulders, Cade shouted, "Roger, you need to tell me what this means! Is he going to win or not?!"
Clasping his hands behind his back, Roger sighed and looked at Jin through the screen, a flash of sadness appearing in his eyes.
"Your Highness, how much do you know about the First Son? Do you know why the Celestial Palace forbid his unsealing by any means?"
Cade calmed himself down a bit, gave it some thought, and responded, "Not too much. All I know is that he fought in a war a long time ago and our Axis stopped him...but I didn't know that the Celestial Palace was involved."
Roger watched as Jin threw himself at Gojo, unsurprisingly unable to pierce the barrier surrounding the man without his cursed technique.
Gojo simply retaliated with a well placed 'Red' and blew Jin away. Within moments, the bloodied sorcerer recovered and returned, doing the same thing again with even more ferocity.
"The First Son was made with only one purpose in mind; to destroy anything our Axis pointed him at with ruthless efficiency. A machine of war that couldn't be bested by any means. Unthinking, unfeeling, unfathomable, unshakeable, uncompromiseable. This is what the Axis described him to be as he made him."
Cade listened closely, his eyes watching the screen as his ears were open to every word coming out of Roger's mouth. He could feel that something big was about to be revealed, something that would make him understand the type of being Arcann was.
"And, of course, initially, that's what he was. The Axis' enforcer. A machine of destruction so ruthless that he would erase entire domains after getting in conflict with them. He had no thoughts or words, only action. He had fought and won so many battles that the Celestial King himself gave him the title of 'Victorious Fighting Asura'. But his victories were attributed to the souls and bodies of the dead warriors he was made with...and the frightening ability he manifested as a result."
Back on the screen, Jin was getting obliterated by Gojo as the sorcerer continued to batter him with his fists, landing black flash after black flash. Gojo was operating at 200% while seemingly, Jin was at death's door.
But for some reason, Jin wasn't dying. Any other sorcerer would have been dead by now.
The harrowing injuries he accrued overtime seemed to have no effect on him. He wasn't slowing down. No, he was only speeding up with each encounter.
"Sigh...I'm going off on a tangent. One day, I'll fill you in on his entire story. But for now, let's focus on what makes him the 'Victorious Fighting Asura.' It's his power to transcend his own limits in combat. The power to endlessly develop in power as long as he is locked in combat. And of course, he has enough fighting instinct and tenacity to use that power to its maximum capacity."
Cade was shocked as he heard this. That was it? Not the power to manipulate space-time or the power to warp reality? How was he able to destroy other domains when the First Sons' of other families had these powers?
These were the questions that plagued Cade's mind.
But as he looked at the screen, his eyes widened, as the scene before him quickly made him understand what it meant to be the Victorious Fighting Asura.
